Hello vapers just thought I would write a message about my thoughts with the kayfun lite. So I purchased the kayfun and was excited and hell to receive it. That day came and what a disappointment that tank was. The air flow sucked, drip tip sucks, and channel sucked. So I threw it to the side for a few days and then Decided to mod it. So I took it apart and drilled out every possible hole 3-4 times the original sie and also opened the juice channel a bit more. So I changed the drip tip to a wider boar. And also left the chimney unscrewed maybe 3 mm and now it smokes like a beast. Unbelievable different in making a few changes

Although I did drill through my finger in the process so that kind of sucked.
I'm using 26 gauage wire which seems a little bit too thick for wiring uup, so I've had to twist the wire round the screws.

But would love to hear everybody else problems / solutions or thoughts

I love they tight draw on the Kayfun but I'm a M2L hitter. I did have some issues with flooding but that was due to a janky o-ring that I didn't notice until I built it like a half-dozen times. I was really ready to toss that mother out the window. But now it's perfect and I'm actually thinkin' about either another or a Lemo. As a mouth to lung guy, the only RTA I've had that was too tight was the original Squape. Even drilling it out didn't help.

My EHPro Kayfun 3.1 works well with the 80pg/20vg juices I vape. If I try to vape 50/50 it doesn't wick well enough to keep up and I have to do dry hits and hold my finger over the air hole to keep the wick saturated at times.

For me, that's not a problem. I'm primarily a high PG vaper. Out of the box, it's calibrated for thinner juices.

Although I am handy with a drill press and a Dremel, my modifications are normally limited to increasing air flow in RDAs. The Kayfun wasn't made with high air flow/large volume cloud production in mind, it's tailored for a moderate vape with good flavor.

My solution to Kayfun issues was to switch to a bottom feed dripper.

Lol!

The Kayfun 3.1 doesn't really lend itself to air flow modifications just because of the way it's designed. You have a side air hole with an air adjustment screw that blocks off that hole to reduce flow. If you make the side hole larger the screw can no longer block the hole and will just fall into the enlarged hole if you screw it in all the way. The air port under the coil has an allen screw in it. Remove that and you still have to drill the vertical hole.

For thicker juices or more air flow, you are better off exploring other atomizers, IMO.

Well if I had want to have high airflow I would have bought something else. But I Wanted a tighter draw and a tank. I got a 3.1 clone.
I have"modded" it though: Nano tank kit+Shorty Top Cap+drip tip+rem A/F Screw. The tip is only because the tight draw threaded one wont fit in the new top cap, which had to be drilled to fit the nano chimney. I'm sure there is better out there but this is 10x better than my mini PT3. which I still enjoy. So, I'm happy.

I was the same way.I bought the lite and 3.1 clones at the same time.I had never used a kayfun before so didn't know what to expect, but i was highly dissapointed when i got them.Airflow on both were horrible, and the smallest juice channels i have ever seen.Like you,i drilled out the airholes and used a dremel to open the channels quite a bit. They are both 100% better now than when i got them.I don't use the 3.1 much anymore, but i still use the lite quite a bit.If you haven't tried one yet,get a kayfun 4 clone or authentic, this is the first kayfun design that i can say i really like, and the only mod i did to it was put in the s kit for more airflow.
