you're very welcome my friend. i keep trying to tell everybody that there's no need for all that other crap. it's a simple fix to get the v2 to be perfect. just a little tube of ox-gard is all the v2 needs. im really glad i was able to help you out bud. be sure and recommend the v2 to all your friends and family. i personally want puresmoker in business for a good long while. oh, and dont forget to do your maintenance on it every week or two. it really helps maintain performance. you have to reapply that ox-gard every week or two depending on your amount of usage to maintain that v2 bliss and also general maintenance helps to keep it looking nice and shiny. lol, never get mad with these things. they become more like a hobby anyways, have fun with it. you quit smoking. all should be good for you right now. c ya homie.

Picked up the #60 o-rings and noalox at home depot today for my protege and it's a huge success. The switch no longer misfires so I am finally lovin the thing. I am pretty sure it was the o-ring that did the trick, so don't hesitate to give it a try if your switch misfires or needs to be pressed extra hard. Thank You Steve for the tip and OP for the thread.

My V2 misfires so I have placed an online order for o-rings and Noalox. I have tried Silver Grease and it has helped some, but still get some misfires due I think to the o-ring. Since Noalox and Oxgard are both aluminum anti-oxidents as well as being conductive, and the switch contact points are aluminum, I suspect it will work better than the Silver Grease. Everytime I have taken my switch apart I have noticed oxidation on the round button contact plate.

In my frustration before I found this post, I stumbled across a work-around that works for me everytime. That is, whenever my V2 misfires I give the little button on the switch a 1/4 to 1/2 a turn and WA-LAH, it fires again! :D I think the bad o-ring allows the round contact to get askew so that it is not bridging the contact points and rotating the button temporarily re-aligns it to where it is flush again.

Try it! This method should keep your V2 going until you get your new o-ring.

My V2 is starting to piss me off now. Can you guys tell me what section of Home Depot you buy Noalax and the o-rings?
I got mine at Lowes today in anticipation of my V2 getting here. A .5 oz tube of Noalox was around $2.50 and a 10 pack of #60 o-rings (plumbing dept) was around $1.75.
If the Noalox is anything like dialectric grease or anti-seize, a little goes a looooooong way.

I finally found all the parts at another home depot. It took me some time to install the o-ring. Applied some noalax.. and the results are 50/50. Sometimes it fires other times it doesn't. It seems to improve, but just a little. I won't have enough time to send and receive it back.

Horrible, will have to use my V4L XL battery instead.

just chiming in on the #60 O-ring, took me freakin 20 minutes to get that tiny thing on the button, but depressing it is super easy (short throw) and no misfires or issues. i really didn't have problems with the original switch, but sometimes the button push took a bit more strength...which i'm guessing is a problem a lot are having...not PUSHING hard enough.

i'll be trying the Noalox for extra protection, but i was sick of roaming around the hardware store :)

Got it to work finally. I am not sure if somebody mention this previously. But I also had to install the original rubber band to the button.

So first it's the #60 o-ring. Second is the rubber band (original), then it's the contact wheel. Now it's fires up 100%. Don't like the feel of the switch now, but it's 1000000% better than before. So no complains.

THANKS ALL. Great info here.
