Oh, and just so that last pic makes a little more sense...
(keep in mind, the copper is still very rough and unfinished looking...it will look better by the time I'm done with it)

This is great! I've been looking over the mods trying to decide what direction I want to take on my first one and I like the idea of feeding the juice through the atty. Can you tell me what OD pipe you used?

Also, have you seen MoonMan's juice box? He is using a pump bottle that sticks out of the bottom of the box to feed the juice - just give it a push and away it goes! It seems to me that combining the pump/spray bottle with the tube under the atty would be the way to go - no loops of plastic tubing hanging out of the box.

I am currently looking at plastic molding ideas as I would like to make something akin to the Mahmba. I will post it if it becomes a success (or maybe even if it just plain sucks!).

MoonMan's UPAC is a great design. Problem with a spray pump like his it's possible to flood the atty. His feeds into the cart (with filler) and thus it's harder to flood but not impossible. Squeeze bottles work so well because of the vacuum effect upon bottle release (i.e. excess liquid is sucked back into the bottle). There's also been some reports of the draw suction pulling juice from the bottle into the atty, sort of an auto-feed effect. That'd be the holy grail but at this point nobody's perfected it. There's so many factors that it may never be perfected without a much more complicated design (i.e. adjustable inlet tube for different liquid viscosities/draw strength, etc...)

My next mod I'm going to do a JB type, and I have a bunch of reasons I want to use a spray bottle but I want to bottom feed. The spray heads I have deliver 2 drops per pump, but I'm still concerned about the lack of suction.

Someone much wiser than me will eventually figure it out!

For plastic molding, there's lots of options. The mAhmba 2.0 actually uses pvc pipe elbows to form the top! The bottom is machined aluminum, and the sides are plastic. Depending upon your shape's complication you might also consider having it 3D printed like Darchand's famous e-pipe!

Great work High Ping. I have recently been looking at all these automatic feed designs. I want one, I just wish I had the know how to make one last time I played with electricity I caused a fire. Guess I will have to wait til one hits the market or the wait time for a Juice box goes down. But great job it looks so simple and easy to use.

Hi HP
Great wireless connection.
I've had plenty of time to think over last few days.
I've got to catch up with all threads, but thought about your mod.
Consider putting the battery below the bottle and placing in a copper pipe.
If a good switch could be fabricated. It would make one hell of a copper juice fed atty mod.
To refill the bottle you would have to unscrew the top of the mod and lift out the wireless atty, bottle unit.
May be hard to setup the internal wiring, but would look really cool, especially if a led to light the bottle were added.

(more silly thoughts by petercro)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Highping, what size brass pipe(od) did you use running into the atty?

Hi jambone! I've been following this and a few other threads by HP and Petercro, and recently took a trip to the hobby shop with a 510 atty in tow. The one the fit into the hole was 1/16" OD. At some point in the next couple of weeks I will start experimenting with it and will take lots of pictures as I go.

Hope this helps!

Jump on and enjoy the ride. After a while you don't want to get off.

Thanks! Glad to be on board! (Pun intended)

I am not doing anything too fancy for my first try. I have a double C box that I purchased from Mapvapes and am planning to put two 18650's in series with a 5v regulator along with a bottom fed bottle. So far I have cut and ground out the dividers in the box and am currently trying to determine the best orientation for the Batt connector and bottle (still have to cut out the hole so the bottle can be squeezed).

Next time around, I am going to use molding epoxy or equivalent so I can make something slick like the Mahmba. That is, of course, unless I set myself on fire while soldering - I am new to all of this!

Cheerio!

Avoid setting yourself on fire. It isn't nearly as much fun as it sounds! :p

I have two different style mods that interest me the most... The first includes a very long lasting battery and a liquid delivery system in a compact form. The second is the miniature PV. I'm enjoying reading in the mod forum right now because it seems these two types are receiving a lot of attention. :)

I have pretty much everything put together, but my biggest down fall is my knowledge of electrical stuff. My question is what part of the 510 threads(bottom side) do I put the + - wires?

Technically it doesn't matter at all. However, traditionally black wiring is used for the negative (-) side and would go to the threaded part (outer tube). Red wire would be used for the positive (+) side and go thru a switch to the center post part of the connector. The atty wont care which color wire you use or which side is + or -.
