A question for the experts...
I did a dual coil like this yesterday (32ga) for the exact same ohms (and size) that my usual 9 wraps 28ga (on 1.5mm : 0.9 ohms)
I like it better, but can't exactly say why. As I've got only one rm2 (shame) I can't really compare side by side.
What should be the ups and downs of a dual coil compared to a single one (same ohms)?
Thanks!

I just slip my two wires in the gap in the chuck and don't put to much tension on the first wrap.
the dual above worked just as well in the drill as the single wire. No need to twist the wires before winding.

So, I'm just gonna say . . .. Are these actually Sony batteries because the shrink wrap is green? . .. Or is it because the E-bay vendor says they are?

I've used this vendor on e-bay on and off for 5+ years and was referred to this vendor on ebay from my father who started using him back in 2004. He used it for Batteries for flashlights and chargers and never had any issues w/ fake items or bad items.

I've purchased I4 chargers, Ultrafire chargers, and other batteries in the past never having an issue w/ any of them added to the fact this business has been around on ebay since '99 I suppose it could be a shrink wrapped fake. Thing is the company's based out of Salt Lake city Utah. I tend to trust U.S. based vendors over Chinese ones who are definitely known to sell re-shrinkwrapped batteries as knockoff's.

Their rating is 99.7% and while they still could be a fake....I just don't see why/how they they would sell fakes online and be in business for 14+ years but that's just me. I did check them as thoroughly as I could even after my fathers recommendation. He also told me he did his due diligence prior to taking a gamble on them back on '04.

Looking at all of the offerings they have listed it seems that would be ALOT of fakes to be slinging and getting away with.

Cheers,

I tried a dual coil 26g nichrome last night but it came out at 0.28 ohms. I was to nervous about its ohm lowness so never fired it.

Yeah you'll collapse your spring. I know b/c I got brave w/ a .3Ω coil and it worked for over an hour but the amp discharge from my 30a sony collapsed the spring slowly. I won't go below .5Ω till I get my .003 brass shim in to do the pdib mod to bypass it even then I'm not sure I'll go that low simply b/c of the amount of discharge and wear and tear on my batteries. .5Ω-.8Ω has me quite satisfied lately.

Needless to say being the OCD freak I am I ordered a ton of extra springs along w/ a rebuild kit from Rob along w/ my order which came today just to make sure my tinkering doesn't leave me stranded w/o a working REO.
