I built an 8 X 12 room on the back of the detached garage for my wife's knitting gear. That was after the office closet and the storage racks I built for her in the attic got filled up. Now the garage room is full and I might have to extend it. She gets packages every week. She has enough needles to stock up a small third world country. You never know when you might need a size 87B double length titanium needle in a hurry I guess.

All fine by me, she never complains about vaping gear.

If your wife is bringing this up, then you probably have too many category A mods:

Category A: mods openly visible, in your hand(s), lying around on tables, shelves, desks, counters, etc.

Category B: mods in cutouts in books (a set of encyclopedias is good choice), mods in the secret pull out compartments you built into your box spring (you did get the memo about this, right?), mods in the cold air ducts, mods you tuck away in the shoes she swears she wears but you know she never does, etc.

Category C: other people's mods ... Oh, Jerry just sent me this to test/fix/whatever (just remember to put it into category B before someone else "sends" you another one).

These are some of the most popular threads on ECF. A place for people to relish all the wonderful mods they have!
Oh, good... I don't have too many yet...

There's always the old trick of receiving all your packages at work or a post office box. Also, if all your mods are all black and silver, it's not as obvious when you get a new one.

The idea of "too many" mods struck me funny. I had never before considered the idea. And, having now considered it, I have determined the phrase to be an oxymoron, if not an outright contradiction in terms. I don't know how many mods I have. I usually can't find them all at one time (I like to keep them spread out so I always have one handy) and there are still several boxes of vape gear I have not opened since I last moved house, plus all those in the display case I rarely, if ever, actually use. Certainly the total is over 100. It might be 200ish. Or more. To try to help you in reaching for a definition, though, I will offer the thought if you put all of your mods in a box, and the box can not be moved with a 5000 pound pallet jack, you are approaching "just barely adequate" territory.

Think of the yarn stash like the mod you didn't really need but the price was too good to pass up. And the mod you meant to get around to using but something else came along. I think there may also be a vapocalypse aspect and the yarn stash becomes a hoard, although I'm not sure why since nobody is out to ban yarn.
The needles is just a problem. You can do everything with an interchangeable circular set, a few extra larger needles and the smaller circular sizes. Of course to get to the point of knowing I only needed one set for $50 I had to buy every straight needle size and every size of DPN (I do prefer the DPNs for socks).

I haven't seen titanium needles, do you have a link?

You got me there. I made up the titanium part. ;)

She does have a storage thing that hangs on a door with a bunch of transparent pockets full of needles. And several boxes of needles. And bags of needles. And more needles.

On the other hand I get an endless supply of hand knitted socks, sweaters, scarves, and hats. In exchange she gets a row of Picos with assorted tanks, all freshly coiled with full batteries and juice. All she has to do is pick them up and inhale.

Guess it works for both of us.

The Wife does not vape. Never smoked, either. I apologize daily for putting her through decades of stench...

She is a fiber artist, though. She spins and weaves and crochets. Not being happy with simply buying yarn, we raise Jacob Sheep, Angora Goats, Alpine Dairy Goats, Alpacas and a Llama.

We spend in the neighborhood of $10k a year on feed and vet.

Kinda makes my vape stash look paltry.

Thing is, I benefit from the animals... She sells some, sells rugs and shawls and yarns etc. And we have a ready supply of meat and milk. She gets nothing except the absence of stench from my vaping.

A wife here.. However many it takes to keep you off smoking, anywhere from 1 to 1,155 is reasonable ;)
I have a moderate stash of about 12 mods collected over time, TBH I haven't counted, but I use 6 fairly regularly and pull out another 3 once in awhile.

I checked a quit banner for grins. Allowing for my vaping purchases over nearly five years, I've saved about $10k.

Not smoking and saving money - that's a double winner! The husband, a non-smoker, hasn't objected - smart guy!

How much are cigs where you are? I know there are some cheap mods but at least here, cigs are like 6 or 7 bucks and not sure if I know of any mods that cheap...I have heard of cigs going for like 20 bucks a pack, is that how expensive they are near you?
I bought my cigarettes 200 at a time.

If I am buying mods that cost less than a pack of smokes I don't care how many I end up with.

Ahh, when you got triples of everything. Ya, thats the ticket.

Seriously, i used to spend 200, 300 a month for cancer sticks. So I dont beat myself up if i buy a new mod, once or twice a month. If you get the hang of the chinese replicants, heck, you can buy a whole kit for 20-30 bucks. In fact, my wife bought my last two mods. I just tell her "I want", and give her the puppy dog eyes. Its not an addiction anymore, its a very fulfilling hobby.

ROFL. For my birthday, Valentines Day, Christmas or our anniversary, the husband asks me what he bought me. It could be a mod, RTA, or a batch of new flavors to play with. It makes it easy for him and I get what I want. another win-win!

Since @corn flakes said he bought cigs 200 at a time, I suspect he mean mods that cost less than a carton.

I can see 10, that I bought and one that I built, from my recliner. I have about 15 that are brand new in a box in a spare room. Probably at least that in tanks.

I stocked up when the FDA was threatening to ban most devices. I haven't bought a new mod in over a year and probably won't buy any in the future.

Yep, my wife has given me mods (that I ordered) for Christmas and birthday presents for several years now. Christmas is the hardest. A mod will come in the mail well before Christmas and she'll demand I inspect it and then give it to her so she can wrap it up and put it under the tree.

The most recent Christmas:
