Replicant? Replicants are usually made with the consent of the original owner.
Ahh, when you got triples of everything. Ya, thats the ticket.

Seriously, i used to spend 200, 300 a month for cancer sticks. So I dont beat myself up if i buy a new mod, once or twice a month. If you get the hang of the chinese replicants, heck, you can buy a whole kit for 20-30 bucks. In fact, my wife bought my last two mods. I just tell her "I want", and give her the puppy dog eyes. Its not an addiction anymore, its a very fulfilling hobby.

Yep, my wife has given me mods (that I ordered) for Christmas and birthday presents for several years now. Christmas is the hardest. A mod will come in the mail well before Christmas and she'll demand I inspect it and then give it to her so she can wrap it up and put it under the tree.

I am NOT passing that idea on to the DH. He might decide to do the same  Nice squonk BTW!

Like I said my wife wanted me to ask, she thinks I own to many vape mods, I try to tell her I need backups for my backups, what do you consider too many if any.
Its up to you. I have quite a collection of different editions of The Lord of the Rings, why? cause I love that book. ;) same thing for e-cigs to some people.

I personally only have 3. I feel bad now.

How much are cigs where you are? I know there are some cheap mods but at least here, cigs are like 6 or 7 bucks and not sure if I know of any mods that cheap...I have heard of cigs going for like 20 bucks a pack, is that how expensive they are near you?

The closest store for when I needed a pack now is over $15. If I was to set a vape budget right now it would be a 13.25 for the by the carton price.

I have bought picos, defenders, svd2 and VV4's all for less than $10 to my door. The cheapest mod was a mech on clearance for 12 cents.

Since @corn flakes said he bought cigs 200 at a time, I suspect he mean mods that cost less than a carton.

All my mods except 4 have cost less than a carton. They were Radiuses and a classic for my vaperversery presents to myself.

Tough call. Nowadays it's 16, 4 1 battery, 4 2 battery, 4 squonkers and 4 going out rigs (subohm tanks and 2 Billet Boxes). But there will come a time when there's something I want... And then I'll have to have the courage to get rid of something before buying something new!

You got me there. I made up the titanium part. ;)

She does have a storage thing that hangs on a door with a bunch of transparent pockets full of needles. And several boxes of needles. And bags of needles. And more needles.

On the other hand I get an endless supply of hand knitted socks, sweaters, scarves, and hats. In exchange she gets a row of Picos with assorted tanks, all freshly coiled with full batteries and juice. All she has to do is pick them up and inhale.

Guess it works for both of us.
How do I train my husband to do that????

Cigarrettes in Argentina are still relatively cheap (1.5 dollars a pack) compared to vape gear/juice. But there are more juice choices, and every time I have a couple of dollars left I stock up on juice. My dream is having at least 30 60ml bottles in stock, but I know I never will because it'll be a whopping 400 bucks at one take! So I buy 2 or two extra bottles a month but I seem to be vaping 600 ml a month (10 60ml bottles). I never vaped that much, I need more nic in my juice...

That’s about half my stash. I mostly crochet, and one of those cubes will keep me busy in the winter for about two weeks. The 2nd cube in the left row is sock yarn though. That will last me about five months if I knit every night.

Still no comparison to how much stuff hubby had. He’d hit every auction and buy up all the baby food jars... I inherited every nail, screw, nut, bolt, and washer ever made. There are 40 lbs of staples and an entire cabinet full of work gloves in the garage.

We all have our weaknesses.

Two mods is likely enough. That's all I have in rotation most of the time. The remaining 30+ are backups, tucked away in cardboard boxes. You never know when availabilty, styles or my tastes will change. Total cost is less than one year of smoking, thanks to hunting down deals on what I like.

One way to look at it (or rationalize it) is it's insurance to keep me off the smokes.:)

I may need a few more...

How do I train my husband to do that????

We're quite easy to train generally. Wife's technique as far as vaping goes was to use the things until they were dry and the wicks burned, then look sad. If that hadn't worked I'm sure she would have cried eventually.

It's always the wife or the husband asking that question I notice.

Here's the thing, if your desire to buy new things is not harming anyone, well, there's nothing wrong with it in my opinion and if it helps you stay smoke free, well, there you go. Etc. But, some folks like collecting different SORTS of setups, and others like backups of what they really enjoy.

I did some stockpiling early on and I've also won things and bought the wrong kinds of things in my quest for a perfect vape and etc., (which I've usually given away or donated.)

Now that I have many things I like, it takes something I really find exceptional or just COVET to make me pull out that checkbook. I have nic for life, flavors are a HUGE pull as there are so many of them.

I would discuss with your wife not so much "how many mods are too many" but how much she is comfortable with you spending (and if she has hobbies, too, well it's certainly fair to COMPARE them, I mean my husband has a CEMENT MIXER for instance) and then judiciously decide how you want to spend that money.

I have seen (and experienced watching others) who tend to be quite happy with their setups, slow down on the purchasing and really focus on what next FEATURE they want, not so much "how many mods."

I also think there is a place for rotation and stuff, I don't use ALL my mods at once (although I usually have around 12 active setups at one time) but I do rotate them in and out, as older gear can have new life (for me) and feel "new" again to me, and that sensation is enjoyable (to me).

I do need to have a bit of a fire sale, and by that rid myself of certain items that I know I won't be likely to vape at all as I have other setups that supersede them, although I will say, I do that with a certain amount of "judiciousness" nowadays, because some of what I love is older, expensive, and hard to obtain. Other things, not so much, etc.

Break it down to a hard number would be my advice (excluding stuff that needs to be replaced in an ongoing way like coils, eliquid and batteries) and you'll probably both be happier about it.

Too many mods is kind of nebulous. "X amount of dollars per month/year" is not, and you'll be less likely to impulse buy, more willing to wait for sales on great items, etc., all that good stuff.

Is there no way to get nicotine there? Maybe have someone ship it to you in shampoo bottles or something? DIY would be SO much cheaper for you!
