vaping makes you thirsty - not in the least. It is now 3:30 pm here and so far today I've had one small glass of OJ and a coffee and I've vaped all day and am not thirsty. This is very normal for me

What? Dude. you know you should drink eight 8 ounce glasses of fluid per day... ... so far you are at 2....

LOL.

But hmm. I dont need to drink... as I am constantly vaping... But... I do tend to drink a bit more...

As for the RDA having more flavor... That is simple common sense.
Yes, Some RDAs may seem to have less flavor, and some RTAs may have more flavor... but it depends on the ohms, heat, wattage, and hardware.

GENERALLY.... A simple RDA will have SLIGHTLY more flavor in the right conditions simply because it doesnt have as far to go. The Vapor goes straight from the coil to your mouth, where as with an RTA, the vapor goes from the coil, down, back up a tube.... and then in to your mouth.... just more distance to travel.... means you lose a little bit of flavor. Sure, this could be negligible...

I thought PG was a humectant? If anything that's what would dry you out. I remember that being part of the new user learning curve back in the day.
I can't get anywhere near a mall without getting paranoid and nervous, going inside a mall would be like suicide for me. It's unorganized chaos under a roof!

I believe (but don't know) that the whole vaping/dehydration thing is bogus, much like the conventional wisdom that 'by the time you're thirsty, you're already dehydrated'...doesn't make sense from an evolutionary point of view...drink when you're thirsty.

I can assure you that dehydration from vaping is not bogus. It's a problem for some, including moi. I've spoken with others on this site about it before. Pure (or almost pure) VG helped me a lot, but if I don't do my cardio exercises regularly and drink lots of water throughout the day, I will get dehydrated. Of course it's different for everybody and I imagine age has something do to with it (I'm pushing 60) but it certainly ain't no myth.

I always have a cup of coffee going ... always have. So I couldn't tell if vaping dehydrates anyway.

As for taste, knowing how to set up any given RDA is the key to better flavor. So nothing beats dripping for taste ... provided that you know how to get it.
Take the build out of my RDA and put it in yours, and I promise you ... it will not work!

vaping does not cause dehydration... plain and simple.

    heres the proof

dehydration has 3 distinct levels, mild, moderate, and severe which are all based off of % of body weight

mild at 0-3% of body weight, moderate at 4-8% and severe at 9-20% ( pretty much after 20% your near death)
considering a gallon of water weighs 8.8 lbs ( 4 kilos) and lets say a person of avg weight of 140 lbs vapes to a point of mild dehydration ( 3% loss of fluid) that would be 4.2 lbs of fluid loss ( nearly 1/2 a gallon of fluid)...

VG and PG can adsorb water but only at a maximum of 40% per volume... so, if one vaped 10 ml of VG PG juice, it would/could adsorb 4 ml of fluid ( water) from your system at maximum efficiency.

So, for a person ( of 140 lbs) to become dehydrated to 3% loss of fluid, one would have to vape around 1.3 gallons of VG PG juice in 24 hours with no intake of fluid during that 24 hours....

I just have a Smok QBox and Joyetech eGo AIO so I don't know if RTA's etc. have different tastes.
I don't find I am drinking any more coffee than usual but my usual is a pot of coffee throughout the day so...
I did notice that about after the my 1st few days vaping my lips would get really itchy but this seemed to have went away after a week or so. Anyone else remember getting itchy lips when the first started to vape? Like I said it did go away and maybe it was Canada Vapes Do More Eh? Vape juice that was the cause as they game me a 10 ml free sample of it so I started my vaping journey with it.

    Think you meant Hygroscopic.
Would be great if it was gyroscopic, would save those nasty accidents knocking the bottle over!

Not being pedantic, just struck me a a funny typo/brain-fart, the kind that we all get.

Thank you @Oomee ... fixed it :). And, I also call those brain farts
