Hello folks,

I just traded smoking for vaping, it's been a little over two weeks since my last cigarette and I am doing fine. I'm using .5 ohm resistance with 12mg nicotine blend and it has been relatively painless. I like the throat hit, feels less like sucking air through a straw and more like taking a hit from something.

Anyway, I plan on using nicotine through vaping rather than smoking and am hoping it might help with periodontal issues caused by smoking as well as clear up most, if not all, the carcinogens I inhale.

I don't know much and fear that I'll hose something up when changing out stuff on my pen. I hope to learn here what I need to do to keep myself away from going back to smoking cigarettes.

Congrats, you sound like me. Bought my first e-cig and never smoked another cig again.
Well, to be honest. I tried a couple of the little pens first, they did not feel anything like I needed to replace. Apparently actually dragging on the cig was a huge part of my addiction. I needed something that felt enough like actually taking a drag or it wasn't going to work.

Thankfully a friend at work suggested a place where I could try a few options and suggested a low ohm version. Two weeks was a great accomplishment, though I am sick of the phlegm, any idea when that will end?
