All but the last one of excuses are mostly baseless. They do work for ex-smokers, but for newbies?

Not sure what you're saying. Non smokers don't have issues with alertness, weight, or anxiety?

Would you please stop your anecdotal pro-nicotine propaganda for non-smokers?

Propaganda?? This guy is a university professor in Neuroscience...

Obviously nobody here read the link posted above..

Nicotine is a normal ingredient in the diet
Everyone consumes it
Everyone tests positive for it
No person has ever tested negative for nicotine, in any of the large-scale clinical trials that looked at nicotine presence in the population
No one can be shown to have ever been harmed by dietary nicotine

All vegetables of the Solanaceae family contain it, and this includes tomatoes, potatoes and aubergines / eggplants. Many foods contain it, including tea: when you drink tea, you are consuming five active alkaloids and nicotine is one of them. After all, that's why tea works.

Since you're throwing out medical facts let me put this right here for you:

MMS: Error
(Link looks broken but it's not, not sure why it says mms: error)

Nicotine does more harm than good if you are not already addicted to it please don't start now.
You don't need a nicotine addiction to vape, no reason to start now.

Not good to site a source that already got slammed for making up the Formaldehyde study..
Sure don't drink coffee or tea unless you are already addicted to caffeine.

The New England Medical Journal is the most trusted source of medical studies in the world.
Just because some ANT lover got paid to release a medical study in favor of anti-vaping lobbiests doesn't mean anything, by the way that study got retracted from it's publishers.

The NEMJ is hundreds of years old, you should know that by now if you knew anything about the medical field at all.

We consume a lot of dangerous stuff every day. We are subjects to radiation every second. Dosage makes all the difference.

Dawn, to rest your mind a bit. :) A vaper does not have to inhale into the lungs. IF they use nicotine, it is absorbed by the soft tissues in the mouth and through the nose and not by the lungs as in cigarettes. Pls. go to CASSA.org and familiarize yourself with the ongoing studies regarding vaping.

Now, having raised two females right up until they left for college, I for the life of me couldn't figure out their reasoning for doing certain things! ........Somethings I thought they must be going through a period on insanity.....or I was. They're all "growed" up now, and we can actually understand each other. They've each at different times (they were born 15 yrs. apart) apologized for past indiscretions.......which helps my "nervous condition" a lot!

I never said I knew anything about the medical field and have never given medical advice. So because it was only one person means there is not another? I am sorry but I have read enough to make my own informed decision on Nic advantages vs disadvantages. I smoked, I now vape. But I can't stand the fear mongering over this. The study you referred to is regarding Smoking, a whole different situation altogether. If you can identify the fact the smokes are addictive due to the chemical cocktail that we albeit enjoyed.

Just because something is hundreds of years old does not mean thats its %100 credible..

So why in the world are you giving medical advice when you self profess to not have a damn clue what you're talking about?
That's like going to a car mechanic for abdominal pain. They may not be 100% credible but it's certainly more credible than your advice not having any experience at all.

Linking back to what a neuro MD said doesn't give you a PhD.

Speak for yourself or quote meaningful statistics.

Instead of speaking for myself I'll ask your permission to advise you to google "nicotine withdrawal symptoms"

Sir I hate to break it to you... but that's giving medical advice. You are advocating that a substance is or is not dangerous.
That by definition is medical advice. Plus your telling someone who has no nicotine addiction to go try it, really?

Sorry, but you are wrong.
Nicotine is absorbed by mouth, throat and lungs. They are all wet surfaces with a lot of blood vessels nearby. Simple biology. Because lungs have much bigger surface they absorb nicotine in higher quantities (but it is not really important for vapers).
