As opposed to, long and vague?! :D

So, what's everyone vaping today?

I'm at work, so Kayfuning it. Loaded up is some juice I got from Cherry called.. Black & Mild I think.. from RBFS. I think it's an old beta synthetic blend that never got added to the menu.. maybe. Whatever it is, it's good. Not great, but a good enough on-the-go vape.

With the single coil, when I have the 2mm air-hole lined up in front of it, I find that the air flow is a little too loose for mouth to lung. I find that the dual 1mm air-holes tightens up the draw just enough for me, and yet gives me the same amount of air/vapour production as the single 2mm hole.

I had the same exact experience before. The dual 1mm however was too tight, so I closed off a portion of the 2mm single and it worked well. Now however I'm enjoying the single 3mm wide open. Funny how preferences change in a matter of days.

So, do y'all routinely tweak juices by adding a drop of this or a few drops of that?

I've never really done that with the juices I've bought, but could see how it could benefit certain juices that may be too light in flavour to be bumped up by another that perhaps is too heavy on a particular note.

Nah. I'll occasionally Frankenjuice 2 juices, not often though. Usually just vape the juice as is. Early in my vaping I combined a bunch of juices I didn't like once. It tasted olive drab. Mixed, dripped, then tossed.

I frankenjuice quite often... It's one of the reasons I really like the single varietals such as those available at NET.com of course there are only a limited number of those at this time... On occasion I'll mix the various blended, multi-tobacco e-liquids, just not as often.

How about non-Net tobaccos? There were some vendors at VapeCan (the big meet we had recently in Toronto) that had some "Tobacco" flavoured juices. One of them was giving away free bottles, so I grabbed a Black Honey Tobacco from them, brought it home and loaded it up in a KFL. PHEEEWWWWW!! crazy floral with a seriously sour room note which could have only been the honey.

It took me 2 days of having the windows open and the fan going in my Den before I was able to walk in there and not smell it. This was from 5 minutes of vaping it.

The flavour has permeated the KFL and even the inside of the pipe stem I was using. Nasty.. just plan nasty!

This made me laugh Dusty.

You should use those old 801s you told me about, to test juices :)

I was sneaking a vape at my desk a while ago and a co-worker came to ask me a question. "What is that smell" she said "smells like bug spray". I played ignorant to anything smelling but blamed the bug man. It was a synthetic.

It's interesting you guys have observed the ambient room notes from synthetics. I usually vape stealth at work from my desk or normally behind a wall in the storage room.

Usually I only vape NETS and it appears that no one ever noticed a smell with the only exception being H1N1. These are strong pungent NETs I am vaping too. Managua, habana daydream (QNJ), Louisville, you name it, but no one ever comments on smell.

However, I had some samplers from Five Pawns a few weeks ago and the reaction was immediate when I vaped Grandmaster in my usual spot behind the wall. 'Whats that smell' from 3 or 4 different people who were trying to figure out what it was. They did a good job picking the room note scent and matching it to the description of Grandmaster. 'Banana' , 'honey' 'peanut butter' .

Ouch! Even though I like the Kayfun meets Drip-shield design, I would be hard pressed to drop close to $150+ Canadian on a RBA that I've not tested first.

Thanks for sharing, Raymond. This definitely seems like the logical direction for RBA's to take. Maximum flavour with minimal risk of leakage.

The only flaw that I can see is again a reflection back to the drip-shield days. It was easy to flood the old 901's and the first few hits were usually gurgly because you were essentially drawing juice trapped by the dripshield back in through the air holes at the base of the 901's.

That's actually a fair point. Depending on how you build it, the Venturi can put out a lot of spit-back. Jack's recommendation is using 26-gauge or lower wire and building between 0.2-0.5 ohms. My experience so far with the Venturi is that it's fantastic...for a particular type of vaper.

I'll be looking for your review. I don't see how in the world you adjust the air flow.

The chimney has cyclops slots that can be adjusted for airflow. The top cap locks the chimney in place. You can quickly adjust airflow by unscrewing the top cap one turn, changing the airflow by moving the chimney with your drip tip, and locking it back up.

Bill, Spinfuel doesn't have an expert panel of reviewers, they have an expert panel of promoters lol.

Spinfuel is an e-zine that promotes the products of paid advertisers. I haven't been to the site in a long time, maybe they are now a legitimate review site, but I doubt it.

That business model bugs the hell out of me. There's a popular vaping magazine in SoCal that uses a similar deal: advertising = coverage. As someone that has been in editorial since the mid-'90s, I loathe that practice. To me, there should be a wall between editorial and advertising.

Yeah, that was a sample Brian gave me when I met him last August. It may have some NET, but is basically synthetic. Not my thing, but I'm glad it's good enough to vape.

How are the Nauts with Nets? Mini so assuming BVC right?!

The BVC coils are surprisingly good with NETs. NETcom Bombay seems like it'll go two or three tanks and perform well.
Why the Mini seems be to better than the regular Nautilus for flavor (each running a BVC) is something of a mystery, though.

Hey if anyone is interested I started a Google docs spreadsheet. Currently it has three tabs. Cigar/Pipe/Cigarette
I have formatted three columns on each page. If people would like to contribute anyone with the link can edit this doc.
It's pretty simple. Column "A" is where you place the vendor's name, column "B" is for the name of the juice that you are reviewing, and column "C" is for the actual review.
This way people can quickly locate a type, and their preferred vendor. I considered doing a column for reviewer name, but I will put that up to vote. I'm neutral on it. But I understand if people want to know who the reviewer is if they have developed a trust for that person's opinion it could be quite useful. Not just simply for ego.

Anyway, here is the link. Please feel free to add at your discretion

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...l_7HgnfbIQb3TrkQXnyEfIwFE/edit#gid=1406985675

Also, please only add what you consider to be a five star juice. I want this document to be a go-to reference for the highest quality tobacco flavors.

[EDIT]Those of you new to Google docs: If you wait a moment for the page to fully load you will see at the bottom three tabs for the different types of tobacco. Simply click the tab you want to view/add to/edit to load it.
Once it's loaded simply click on a field to begin typing.
