Currently enjoying NETcom's Black Cherry pipe tobacco juice. A sweet pipe blend of dark cherry infused with flue-cured and Burley tobaccos is how Clay describes it.
The blend is not overly sweet. The black cherry is completely natural in taste and the tobaccos mix perfectly with it. It's stonking delicious.

I'm assuming that is one of the newer beta e-liquids that Clay has...

Based on the reports, I bought some KGD. re-wicked 2 of my R91s and loaded VWW and JG. Strange. So I re-wicked another R91 and loaded Boba. Strange. Maybe I've got vaper tongue. as the VWW was tasting soapy with regular old cotton, but now, I don't recognize the taste of any of the three. Not that anything is bad, but I can't say it's better either--just really different.Going to load up my PT2s or buy a pack of Marbs. I need a touchstone.

Three new extractions set on the stove today: Peter Stokkebye Turkish Blend, University The Dean, and Seattle Pipe Club Plum Pudding. Decided to make smaller-batch extractions this time, mostly because I ran out of 30 ml bottles. Put a big pinch of tobacco in approx 25ml of 80/20 PG/VG - aiming to get about 15ml of extract out of each. Will filter it through 2x 5 micron felt in a 20ml syringe. We'll see how it goes...

I agree with Jerms. To me, Boba's is one of the best mystery TINOs of all time. That said, I'm down to about 15ml remaining in the 100ml bottle I ordered 10 months ago, and I probably won't order more.

In fact, I went through some of my drawers of synthetic tobacco retail juices today and started a serious purge. I got rid of 50 juices, most of which are 2-3 years old, and ended up with an empty gallon milk jug one-third filled with juice that I'll never vape and don't want. Sure, I could have PIF'd it to some impoverished vaper in Bangladesh (or Pittsburgh, LOL), but that's way more trouble than I want to take on, especially for juices that were lousy to start with. Took literally three hours to update my juices database (changing quantities from "1" to "0"), remove the labels with the help of naphtha, and wash out the bottles/drippertops/droppers/caps, but the good news is that I now have 50 more empty bottles ranging from 3ml to 30ml to make DIY juice and share extracts. I'll do it again tomorrow, adding more to that gallon milk jug, which will go into the toxic liquids recycling at some point. Eventually I'd like to get my juice dungeon down to a manageable 2 liters or so.
I'm not sure how long it's been since I've had Boba's, close to a year I think. At the end of that last bottle, I figured I was done with that for a while, couple/few years at least. So I was surprised at how excited I got at the prospect of having it on hand. The flavor of Boba's has an addictive quality to me, and it's almost always a joy to vape.

TINO: Tobacco In Name Only, meaning a juice that supposedly contains tobacco flavoring---usually synthetic, but natural tobacco extract flavoring could also apply---whose recipe includes non-tobacco flavorings (often bakery flavors) that effectively overwhelm or bury the tobacco in the flavor profile. Another example of a well-known TINO would be Bounty Hunter from NightLifeVapor, but many, many retail juices qualify as TINOs. Some TINOs are very popular and quite delicious, such as Boba's Bounty from AlienVisions and Deadly Sin from GoodLifeVapor.

The acronym was first coined on this thread a couple years ago, inspired initially, if I recall correctly, by HHV hybrid NETs. I don't remember who came up with it---might have been Mr.Mann or even Jerms himself. A similar designation frequently used on the thread is "small-font tobacco."

For awhile, posts on Part One of this thread used so many acronyms for juice names, vendors, and designations that you needed a Natural Tobacco Thread Acronym Dictionary to decode them all. Nobody knew what the hell anyone was talking about... LOL. These days that's down to a low background roar.
Nope, the term TINO, was already being used when I joined in. Though I have helped promote it as a term for the subcategory of the specific type of mystery juices sold as tobacco that taste nothing like tobacco, but can be quite delicious nonetheless, and away from being used as a derogatory term for NETs with light tobacco presence.

So what's with the pricing on NET.com extracts ? When you buy extracts from MVJ, you can make the juice at the extract percentage they use for less cost, which makes sense really. They save on the cost of pg,vg, nicotine and labor. With NET.com it would cost you more to make the same juice at the same extract percentage they use. I wonder if he is even aware of this fact.

It's a pet peeve of mine since i like the extract option. Gives me the chance to tweak with the tobacco impact untl it's to my preference. With MVJ for example, i use about 25 % extract whereas she uses 20 %.

I'm not to fond of those coils. They criss-cross and the bottom coil is set too low for some tanks.. The mega coils are nice but expensive unless you get them from China.

I have the T3S/MT3S ones (turns them from single to duals) and they work great... not sure if they are the same manufacturer though.

I actually like 'em.. Pull the silica, rewick with cotton, and they work great. Easier to rebuild too ;) They only work with about 1/2 my MT3S' though.. the center air tube on some of the tanks are a little too long to allow the coil to seat all the way. Nothing a quick hit with a flat grinding stone cant fix however :)

I still haven't really had the opportunity to try the cross-coil ones. I ordered some plain EVODs, and they came as the upgraded versions. So the one with the short stubby top was replaced with a long PT head and seems to work fine. The other one, which was a dual-criss-cross coil, I fiddled with it some, but when I applied tortion (only have 1 1/16 bit) I destroyed the 2Ω NR-R-NR top to the 4Ω single wires.

Didn't really feel like trying to mess with it again after that, so I haven't. However, the drip-tipless EVOD was a bit trickier. At first, it didn't mind me using a PT head, but then it decided to leak from some unknown location into the window compartment of the tank, at random. Then it just kept leaking.

I only knocked it over once, and it wasn't even on the VAMO when it happened.

If only FT carried 3.6Ω wire lengths... The twisted 4's hit approximately 2Ω in a single-coil configuration. Stuck a very small piece of KGD on top of the coil and it seems to have decent flavor compared to it's 1.8Ω non-flavor-wick counterpart. I am seriously not sure about going below 1.8Ω anymore, though.

Kinda destroys the flavor for some juices, or perhaps my taste buds are just going haywire and I need to take some Zinc. Maybe that's it.

Been trying some NET.com today and have to say I am impressed with the quality. The latest one that really got my attention was Anthony B's Rum Rebellion. The fire cured tobacco plays nicely with the rum; very smooth and yummy vape. Wish I would have ordered more than a measly 15 mil bottle to start cause at the rate I'm vaping, it will be gone soon. The other one I had this morning was Bombay. This one has a flavor I can't explain but it is very smooth with a bit of a kick. Would order this one again for sure as well. Still got Chris' Blend and 3-Crown to try plus a sample of the Boss Clay sent with my order. Said it before and will more than likely say it again, NET's has elevated my vaping experience to new heights. Lovin the ride so far!

:2c: I am going to go out on a limb with the following statement and probably going to get flack from it. I have been vaping Clay's juice for a few years now and I enjoy them, only the last big order I noticed a change. I'm not talking about some new favorites being lighter in color, I'm talking about a change in flavor I am not happy about. I suspect there may be some change in his processing or filtering that is, IMHO, a problem for me with a couple of his extracts not being as great as his former extractions.
It could be it is just a fluke in just my order placed way back when and received about three weeks ago. I am just guessing as to why I noticed an "off taste" in a few old favorites. I truly hope it was just my order or my "buds" gone haywire.

Are you sure you aren't confusing Clay with someone else? Clay only started experimenting with extracts in early 2013 and didn't open NET.com until July of last year.

I like the 1.8 ohm for my Evod battery. It should give me about 7.2 watts. That is a good compromise between flavor and juice consumption. Plus, when the ohms creep up by .1 or .2 it would still be in my acceptable range. As it is now the Kanger heads slowly creep up above 2.0 and end up at 2.2 or 2.3 and that is just a bit too high on a 3.7 volt battery, imo.

I really couldn't tell ya if it was different,it was my first order with them. All I can really say is I liked what I received. This was three weeks after it was made as well. If it were better before, I envy y'all.
