As usual, your ability to do this by hand scares me a little.

It does help seeing where to position the coil over the airflow hole, though, and how much loss there is output based on the length of the legs leading to the contact points.

What would you guesstimate the distance of the legs leading to the coil?

I would say around 1/2 cm from post to coil. Even though that coil looks gigantic, it's only 2.38mm across it's inner diameter.

Admiral's Pipe from RBFS is damn good. It took me a day or so to get used to it coming off of Porch Rocker. At first there was a mint, menthol, green vibe, but that went away mostly and dare I say I might like it better than Porch Rocker.

RBFS is 2 for 2 so I'll be there for the sale on the 12th.

Mmm.. been vaping it most of the evening too. My favourites in order from the ones I've tried so far.. KillRY4, AP and PR tied and Count Caramel. To put my thoughts in perspective, I could easily vape CC for a few hours if not more. The others longer..

Dumb dumb dumb. I just saw the Tobeco Knight mech available at 101 for $28, and I just HAD to order it because it's so sexy, even though it's so new I didn't find any reviews. Tobeco makes some really great products.. and some terrible stuff too. Hope this is the former. Magnetic switch, copper body with carbon fiber. None of the places I looked mentioned if it locks, but the original does so I'm hoping this replica does too. Pleeease don't be a dud like my last impulse mech purchase!

Sandman, I decided to go with 7/8 wraps for a .9'ish ohm coil instead of the .8. Hitting beautifully on the Panzer with RBFS' Count Caramel.

Looks awesome! I'll be posting pics of various builds that I've discovered with various RDAs including the Magma, Plume Veil and Veritas (if I don't pull all my hair out by the time I get a decent build with it).

I've been looking at a lot of the new RDA's being released and most are just an improved brass monkey. The magma is unique with the bottom air holes it is truly a super RDA, highly recommend it.

I disagree. The Veritas and Plume Veil to name a couple are vastly different than the brass monkey in design and vape.

I could assume you're joking, but I'd rather point out.. 1. Caly and Dave are not very close, they only share one letter. 2. Caly isn't a name or word. 3. Chris is a name, specifically, the name your mind seems to be unable to decipher and who's blend it is. Say it with me.. CHRIS' blend. ;)

I've been stifling laughter on the train all morning due to this caly, Dave and Chris oddity then something about 'latakavita extracts' and Dusty pointing out the origin of Boomerdude's name.

Who needs Ricky Gervais.

You may have already read my experience with the Veritas, but if not here it is.. Tried dual verts, single vert, horizontal macro spring.. finally got the results I wanted doing the same build I always do in other drippers; simple single compressed horizontal micro coil. Right up to the airhole, works great.

I've been reading your takes on the Veritas. I'm more of a passive reader than poster so it may seem like I'm only on this thread occasionally, however it's a constant refresh page for me :).

I have tried all sorts of horizontal builds. Initially I actually was getting an awful taste like burning machine oil. This was after soaking the atty in warm water, I even tried using baking soda. After several cleans I discovered that the o-rings were giving off the nasty taste....weird. After replacing them I was back in business. I had a great build with a single horizontal micro coil but I discovered that the wattage required to keep up with the Magma as far as flavor goes was higher. Higher wattage (19-20) meant that my KGD wicks were burning faster and had to be replaced faster. I then tried a horizontal 3mm macro coil with 24awg @ 0.8ohm, the same coil Rip Tripper used in his review of the Veritas. The flavor was abysmal, I'm talking about worse than a Trident or even a Stillare. I have a slightly better build now with a 2.75mm horizontal 26awg 0.8ohm coil but it's still not up there with the Magma. In short, I think I've tried all the horizontal single coil builds I'm willing to try. Next up will be a few vertical builds and then finally if that doesn't work I'll try some dual coils. :vapor:

Yep. Same experiences here. "Simple single horizontal..right up to the airhole" is how I build my Veritas. No problems.

I am using my RDA with NETcom Black Cavendish this evening. This is my first time trying this and I am so glad I purchased a 30 ml bottle. It is mildly sweet plus some smokiness that makes it a perfect liquid for me. It is very smooth with no bite so I find this easy to vape. The room note (I think this is the proper terminology to use) is pleasant and I don't have to go outdoors to vape this. Once I get the KGD cotton in the mail hopefully on Thursday the flavor should be even better. I have tried one other cavendish and by all accounts NETcom's blend is a winner for me.

Has anyone heard back from Clay (NET.com) yet, regarding their email transaction? I ordered Friday, sent another email earlier today...still haven't heard anything. My order shows up on the website when I log in, but no info from Clay or Chelsae yet.

Yes, he called me back. I ordered on Friday too, but i left a voice message as well. Really nice guy, but from all indications, not the most organized. He will get back to you pretty soon, i think.

I'll just leave this here....

Origen V2

That is all...
I have one coming in my FT order. Just cancelled the shorty ceramic DT that was holding the order up since the ETA got extended so everything is ready to ship.

Spending the evening with St. James, my fav Perique. Still as tasty as ever.
