Hearth & Home's Sweet & Savory makes for a good vape. I just mixed my first bottle at 20% with 50/50 pg/vg. The extract was exactly one month old. That may have influenced things, but the mix is good to go with less than 30 minutes of steep.

I'm getting a luxurious perique/virginia with a nice floral note that combines well with the Fired Kentucky. It tastes like a peppery mesquite grilled treat with a sweet and tasty coating. It really is very hard to describe. It all mixes well to delivery a very hearty and luxurious full mouth blend. I was worried about this one because of some of the reviews for the tobacco. It turned out really good and I have high expectations for the taste after a couple of weeks steeping.

Second, I have a boat load of bottom-coil clearos that use Kanger EVOD or ProTank heads. Over the past year, I've gotten good at rebuilding them with micro coils wicked with KGD cotton or rayon. Recently, however, I popped for four Aspire Nautilus tanks---two full-size and two minis, and switched them from BDC heads---horizontal dual coils--to the newer BVC heads that use a single hollow vertical coil. The new BVCs are touted as being untouched for flavor and higher-wattage performance. The problem, though, is that the heads are two bucks apiece, don't last long, and are a pain to rebuild.

The Nautilus tanks work beautifully on my new eLeaf iStick, a tiny regulated VV/VW box mod that's very cool---cute as a button, very small, ergonomically nice, vapes from 5-20 watts, and has a big 2200mAh internal 18650, all for $32 shipped. The only downside to the iStick is that the engineers foolishly programmed the chips so that the PWM is calibrated to Vavg rather than Vrms, which means that the iStick runs very hot at low wattage. Basically, none of my many 1.5 ohm EVOD-style clearos work on the iStick. They can't wick fast enough to handle the extra current of the iStick's low-wattage miscalibration. The Nautilus Mini tanks, however, with their hollow vertical coils, are fantastic on the iStick.

I saw Kat mention the new DNA40, and have been sucked down the rabbit hole of temp controlled vaping that will be provided by the new evolv chip, GG's VIR, and others. It seems to me the only thing this will change is nearly everything, and will be the biggest evolution in vaping hardware yet.

The reasons this will be great for us NET vapers are numerous, but instead of naming them I'd suggest that those curious about what the future of vaping will look like very soon will want to do some research on this. I haven't watched Phil Busardo's video yet, but I'm guessing it's a very informative resource.

My beloved mechs and Kanthal coils will be obsolete, but this new tech may make saying bye bye more of a 'good riddance' than 'you'll be missed'.

Of course, I may be wrong about the impact this will cause, and my fever addled brain may be overstating this, but from what I've gathered there's some really cool advancements that will improve the way we vape.

I do have Analog Red that I ordered recently, but it's busy steeping in storage. Hump Back I had when it was introduced and really enjoyed it, though don't remember exactly the experience it provided.

I think it's like a lightweight Sahara Blend with less Turkish character. It's ultra clean. Took a month or so before I got much from it. From day one, it smells like diluted Sweet Virginia, but the taste at any age is maybe a tenth as powerful. First I didn't care for it, then I got intrigued; who knows where we go from here. Lots of my fave A+ juices I downright disliked at first.

Seeing how you describe Neutral, I just can't see how others are getting ashy from it? Do you get any notes that you can see as playing like ashy or smoky to some?

On a similar note, has anyone read that Phillip Morris is creating an ecig that uses actual tobacco? My first reaction was skeptical and reaffirming that big tobacco can get away with anything. While shops like Ahlusion are "reinventing" their tobacco related juices just to take the NET components out, we have big tobacco putting it back in. FDA's hypocrisy has no bounds......

Who knows what the medium will actually be . They claim to also have it wirelessly connect to your computer (IoT) and provide feedback of how many puffs you took etc. to help you "cut down". It's all just a marketing gimmick, you'll have people caring less about cutting back on smoking, using their devices and paying through their noses for the e-juice/tobacco/whatever it is.

BTW hope you are over your stomach flu, those things are nasty. Had so many of them when I lived in India and had their remedies down to an art. Plenty of water, rice, yogurt and bananas.

Replace rice with bread, and that was my diet this weekend. Hardly vaped too. I had loaded up my Origen with Anniversary Kake Friday and didn't need to redrip until yesterday, so major lack of caffeine and nicotine. Mainly water and sleep.

I suspect this will be revolutionary. The handful of people I know in the beta are not easily impressed, and they are really very excited about this.

One of the beta testers showed a picture of a nickel coil running on a DNA40 after 2 weeks - just the barest hint of caramelization on the wick where the individual wraps touched the wick. It looks like we will see a marked improvement in gunking, which perhaps implies that we have been running our coils too hot. But it is much too early for anything more than casual speculation.

Milan Tobacconist's Celebration 50pg/50vg (aprox) 10.4mg 20%

With one day of steeping it seems to be a shape shifter. It plays as a nutty vanilla tinted Amaretto, then it is a vanilla rum with fruit hints, the it is a fruity vanilla, and then it is something else. A decent vape even if it is a bit schizo.

So far Sweet & Savory is the hands down winner of this batch. They have a good mix of body and clarity filtered at 3 microns.

ETA: There has to be some chocolate in Celebration. I taste it sometimes and my wife says the whole room smells like chocolate.

The title will darned near be longer than the re-review..

After about a two month steep, Smug Juice Cubano Perfecto has not improved..at all. It didn't have much to offer in the way of taste when I first opened it - even less (if that's possible) now.

How did I determine this? By first running a tank of RBFS St. James Parish through a fresh Aspire BVC coil on my Nautilus Mini.
I followed it with Cubano Perfecto after a thorough tank rinse (not the coil, just the tank).

What did I taste? A light residue of StJP. No hint at all of Smug Juice. Nothing.
Was StJP good? You betcha'. Perique is not for the faint of heart - RBFS did a great job here, as usual.

BVC coils normally brighten the flavor of anything put in it and switch flavors well. Not this time. In order to switch flavors, there has to be some flavor in the new juice. There wasn't.

Smug Juice Hump is still very good. The rest of their oeuvre? Give them a wide berth and move on.

Some people think Vecchio tastes ashy too, and it's about as mild a tobacco as you could imagine. But Neutral really tastes like a lightweight variant of Sahara sans Turkish.

No one believed me on some of the cloud chaser and juice junkie Facebook forums when I said that mechs are going to be obsolete in 6 months when the DNA 30 was released.

I have tried to immerse myself in mech mod culture and usage but it never made any sense to me to use a large heavy expensive tube shaped mod with no variable voltage or regulation at all.

I purchased a Panzer mod from Fast Tech along with a Hana DNA 30 clone a few months ago. I use the Dna30 every day but haven't touched the Panzer mod.

I know my own ignorance plays a part in not understanding what niche part of the vaping spectrum mech mods fill, but while admitting that, I believe in 5 or 10 years time this mech mod epoch in the vaping timeline will be seen as a bit of a primitive one during the irresponsible Wild West period of vaping. I still think there is a reckless aspect to letting just anyone use super sub-ohm set ups exceeding 40 or 50 watts completely unprotected.

It's nice to see that technology is catching up to the exuberance of watt hungry Vapers by making high wattage accessible in a protected device.
