I am referring to the National Socialism miracle economy which is well known to most historians which commenced in approximately 1933 and continued until the demise of the Third Reich. Like them or loathe them, their economy was turned around in a way that was entirely unprecedented in modern day history.
The Germans had their problems with the Jews no doubt which led to heavy handed ness such as ostracism, incarceration and persecution, but the actual economic model they used turned their economy around in a way which was nothing short of miraculous. 6 million people were put back into work during the late 30s and the economy boomed despite the rest of the modern world languishing in the depths of the depression.
Things got ugly in Germany but the social issues should not be confused with the ideological model of socialism as it was used in Germany. Many people confuse it with Russian communism and collectivism.
There is propaganda that the German miracle economy was due to the rearmament of Germany but this is propaganda which fits neatly into the black and white perspective and propaganda of the Third Reich.
I have studied the historic period between WW1 and WW2 extensively over the last few years, both from the classic perspective and the revisionist perspective but what I have learnt is entirely outside the scope of this forum.
One thing I've noticed is that Europeans have been receptive to the revisionist perspective of WW1 and WW2 history but Americans are highly resistant to the revisionist perspective which is understandable. There is a lot of high emotion and sentiment in connection with what happened in Europe during WW2.
I have spent 100s of hours of my time on this subject and the one thing I've learnt is that not all is what we think it is in regards to history.
