"I for one am perfectly happy with vaping a Subtank using a 0.5Ω coil wide open mouth to lung"

Wow you must have some heavy duty lungs... I can't MTL subtank nano, widest setting .5ohm at 30W if I try, too much vapour too fast to possibly do it! :)

I have no subtank, sorry. I have the melo 2 and a uwell crown and i have thought its all the same.

On the subtank nano and mtl. I did think this was a mo go. However recently revisited, played around with airflow and watts and found that with a 1.2 coil at fully open and medium airflow with 12.5-16 watts I can mtl happily. Sometimes even prefer it to my mtl tanks. A long drip tip can help, though I did find it was good to go with the default subtank drip tip.

Might have something to do with ones technique particularly lightness of lips to drip tip and how hard you draw.As rdsok says it don't be swayed...

Just vaping some Red Vape Perique Reserva...really interesting...there's a licorice like hint in there, and floral...it is a net...any experts know if Perique can have a licorice like taste?

Yes, Perique can and does have a slight licorice taste depending on the extraction method and balance in the liquid.....

They are all sub ohm tanks... so certainly similar in that respect. Their air flow and the heads will likely differ a little bit, so may make a difference in what power level or temp works best in each of them to provide a particular flavor. There are likely differences perhaps small or large, side by side testing would point that out.

Often with a new sub ohm tank, I do have to try different drip tips in order to get the right temp of the vapor and of course mouth/lip feel that I may prefer. When I first got my original SubTank, the drip tip was the first thing I changed, the original being a bit too "hot" for me... it took me trying several different tips before I settled on one that fit my preferences.

aces wired Its she! LOL and Boomers recipe for making my own didn't intimidate me at all since I am an experienced cook, but as someone getting of the hard stuff my brain is not functiong as well as it should be. I do hope to one day do it myself but for now its on the back burner.
I emailed Clay over at NET and he sent me the most kind, thoughtful, detailed response….I swear Im in love! He made several recommendations and Im going to scoot back over and order.
He recommend the the Organic Spirit cause its made from the exact same tobacco I smoke…uh….did smoke. The Minister, Balkan, and Sun Cured Turkish which I believe he said either all or some were under pipe tobacco.
I explained in excruciating detail exactly what I did and did not want in a tobacco e liquid as far as fragrance and taste. He is truly such a gentleman, I was impressed. Thanks for suggesting his business.

Clay is an awesome bloke and he has given you some
fine suggestions. Good luck with the quit from smoking. Best decision you will ever make.

Hello, NETizens.

I finally finished off the St. James Parish and moved onto the third bottle of RBFS. I chose the Pirate's Drunken Sweet Tooth, since some of you stated that the flavor may fade more quickly on this one.

Good first impression, although I ended up getting 16mg nic because that's what they had (I usually do 8-12). So, the first few hits have the pepper/nic burn and then I get accustomed to it and get to enjoy the flavor.

It has a lot more character than the St. James, to me. Not sure if my palette can yet tell the difference between the Burly and Virginia influences but I like the overall effect. I can get the maple but not sure where the rum is. I suspect they overlap to an extent.

I think this one and the Poet & Scholar are tied for first with the St. James a more distant second (wishing it were stronger). If I used higher wattage gear, the St James may have impressed me more.

By the way, the last posts on the RBFS Facebook page were months ago, except a few "Are you still alive?" posts. Anyone know if they are gonna make it or not?

Vape on...

I'm trying hard to turn my subtank mini into a decent MTL tank by switching the drip tip to a narrower throat tip and replacing my V2 RBA with the V1 RBA with the narrow channels at the bottom. I vape 70pg/20 vg 18mg Nic at around 10 to 12w. Still in the trial stage...

Guys, vaping strawberry milkshakes and banana deserts etc is not doing it for me as much as I try and as low ohm and high up the watts I go. I need something as close as the texture and taste of cigarette smoke as possible.

As of yesterday I am back to smoking.

Can you do me a favour please? I don't have time nor patience to trawl this whole thread right now I need only two things

1. Closest to cigarette cheaper juices for my EVODS and Nautilus mini, so non gourmet, probably higher on the PG than VG - you know the types...

2. A good 50/50 kind of ratio closest to cigarette or even rich pipe tobacco kind of juice for my CF4 and Subtanks to rip at 30 watts.

Both zero nic please.

I'll probably order a bunch of Hangsen for 1 - but for 2, non of the stores in my area do tobacco high end juices for high end equipment. They all say that people using that sort of gear want to get away from tobacco flavours so it's all fruity and dessert type stuff which does just not cut if for me all the time, sometimes I need something gnarly and dark to go back to.

And If you know of any uk online places I can order WTA to try out at low nicotine, please do let me know, I have to try it, price no issue.

Why do you want zero nicotine? Is it to mix your own nicotine into the juice or because you want to vape at 0 nicotine? Something else like a medical that requires you to pass a blood test for nicotine?

If you are struggling to quit smoking wouldn't it give you the best chance of success to vape with nicotine, particularly when you are seeking a NET that approximates a cigarette. Hard to do if it is 0 nicotine.

Anyway I recommend Big Spirit, air cured burley and sun dried Turkish from NET.com (naturally-extracted-tobacco.com).

I don't like the TH from nic liquids, the highest I go is 3mg in my EVOD, which is just right for a mild nic hit and nice vape. In the nautilus Mini and Subtank nano, I hate both the spicy TH you get from nicotine and I dislike the buzz also. The buzz from e-liquids with nic in (and I've tried a lot so had high grade and low grade both) is totally different from the feeling tobacco gives me. Same with the gum or the patch, it makes me feel nauseous and over stimulated and on edge. Tobacco made me feel relaxed and calm (but unhealthy.)

So I go for good flavour, dense vapour production and a TH based on warmth rather than the nic style TH.

@David Wolf - I tried to get a good MTL from subtanks but ended up finding the perfect and I mean perfect MTL experience from the Nautilus Mini, widest air hole around 15 watts for PG based liquids or around 16-18 watts for 50/50. The subtank with the 1.2 ohm coil and 2nd largest air hole was good for MTL but I still prefer the Nautilus MIni for MTL, in my opinion it is perfect for it.

i think it can be done. 6mg nic is good for this. 1.2 coil and not the 0.5. Any higher might make it harsh.

I use 50/50 pg/vg. Higher pg would likely increase throat hit and may make it difficult.

Second airhole setting.

Still get a lot of vapour but decent mtl.

Good luck!

I totally agree about the Naurilus Mini's being perfect for MTL, I have three of them and they are my everyday tanks :D
My GS Airs are worthy backups and I tend to use them more during hot summers when my mini's are gurgling. I vape at a blazing 8W
What's the highest PG/VG ratio you vape? I typically use 70pg/30vg but thinking of trying 80pg or even higher if the throat hit isn't too harsh, vg gives me tightness in my lungs when I do 50/50.

I vape 80PG/20VG in Evods on whatever power a 650 mah ego gives out and also in the Nautilus mini at around 15W. As I vape zero nic, the 15W and the heavier PG give a nice warm feeling and a good smoke-like sort of vape.

I have tried 80/PG/20VG in the subtank with the 1.2ohm coil and 2nd largest air-hole around 16-20W and it is even better but does give the juice a weird taste after a while and is inconsistent, and I find the Nautilus mini much more consistent so only use my heavier VG juices in the subtanks now as I feel that is what they 'like' and find the evods and nautilus mini perfect for 80PG juice.

Yes, would be my choice too. If you want to vape with less nicotine, the turkish would be the best, because its more spicy than the others. The big spirit is the mildest and was boring after 2 weeks, but after a few months it becomes great, but not so spicy as the other. If you want more smokiness, try the dark fired 2 or the smoked latakia, both are very strong and spicy, but dark tobaccos.

Just got my Nautilus cleaned and full of some HS Golden Tobacco (they also call it RY6) on a new coil head. Supposed to be the closest e-liquid to a cigarette.

Ha ha. Completely nothing like it whatsoever. It's actually not a bad vape, a kind of dark, non sweet, cocoa with vanilla, but definitely no tobacco whatsoever ha ha, not even a hint of it. Their RY4 is much better. The RY6 is an acceptable ADV however if you like cocoa.

It will do for a work vape along with the RY4, nice and affordable.

RY4 in the evod and RY6 in the Nautilus Mini. Should keep me okay in the daytime for a while, have 40ml...

Went through some of my past samples from NET.com.
First up: the Raven
This turned out to be my favorite of the sampled samples. Clay's description is accurate pertaining to the leather, pepper and chocolate flavors. A very nice full smooth cigar.

Second: Red White and Blueberry
Nice, natural blueberry well-blended so that both it and the tobaccos compliment each other. Unfortunately, it reinforced my not really liking blueberry. But, if you do I can recommend it.

Third: Balkan
I'm enjoying it and there's a lot more to figure out. Smooth and mildly dark.

Fourth: Dark Fired 2
Another complicated blend. A lot going on. Very nice.

Sorry for the incompleteness of the last two. I admit I wasn't really paying as much attention to them as I was the Raven and Red, White and Blue.

Picked up a big bottle of Sun Cured Turkish and Enigma, a medium bottle of Oak Cask and small bottle of Banana Nut Bread (Hybrid) and
Chocolate Dipped Watermelon (Hybrid)

My bottle of the Raven just turned 3 (months that is) and damn, it is freakin fantastic. The chocolate and coffee notes really bring out the best in the leather and peppery notes. Just a fantastic cigar vape.

On the Red White and Blueberry, I liked this one out of the mail box, the blueberry was just what I was looking for. However, once it aged a while the blueberry turned bitter on me. Not really sure when it did that as I put it away for a while and was bitter when I came back. It seems to be one of those reverse steepers where its better fresh than when it ages. At least that was my experience with it, YMMV.

My last order from NET.com just hit the three month mark and I have liked them all. They were all cigar vapes: the Raven, Red I, Mystique, Desert Cherry, C-Sharp, Cognac Infused, along with another 30 of Starry Night. Every one of them are developing nicely and are pretty darn near close to the descriptions on the site. Once I get going on them, I can't put them down. It's things like this why I still love me some NET vapes.
