vaping the last of my Shipwreck with added ~20% CWW. Good enough to enjoy, but not a reorder. The added CWW made Shipwreck better (it tamed some of that toastedness).

I need to get some more Caramel Wild Wood though! I have been on a pause (for the most part) from buying stuff and don't really want to break it (for some more liquid). Lately I have been trying to vape what I have without buying more, but that could go on for a several years (LOL). I get sick of acquiring and moving on too quickly with bottles upon bottles of never-to-be-vaped liquid -- that's just wasteful. So it feels good to actually vape some of the liquid that I already purchased, but it's hard not to re-up on the stuff that I miss the most. But sometimes you got to get your money's worth out of a purchase (if the liquid is at least semi-decent).

I hear ya cluckin' big chicken.

I've really kept my cost down by vaping what I buy. It is a challenge sometimes, resisting the urge to buy more when there's so much I want to try and re-orders I want to make. I'm glad I do it though. I've often found stuff to appreciate from a mediocre juice that I stuck with.

As long as it's vapable I'll vape it, I've only tossed a handful of juices. Truth is, I don't NEED to be vaping my favorites 24/7, nor do I really want to. There's hobby vaping, that is thinking about and actively enjoying a flavor, and then there's times where I'm just vaping for the nicotine and not really thinking about it, such as when company comes over or being out-and-about. Vaping the juices that don't wow me helps me appreciate the ones that do. I don't force myself to vape bad juice, I just don't make it a requirement to always vape great juice.

Plus, I just don't like wasting juice. If something is bad that can't be fixed by Frankenjuicing and no one wants it for a PIF, I'll toss it, but I research what I'm buying enough to make that fairly rare. The last one was Highbrow's RY4. I found it horrid, offered to give it away in about 4 threads with no takers lol. I did find a use for it... it made excellent bait in a fruit fly trap. Nictotine is a great insecticide.

Hi. I lurk on this thread, not because I have a particular interest in NET e-liquids, but rather because I find it an interesting read.

I do have a question. When I started vaping in Dec., I sought out tobacco flavors. I picked up a 24mg bottle of Aroma ejuice DIY unflavored nicotine.
Yesterday, I ordered a juice from a vendor with 0 nic because that was all that remained available. How many drops of the unflavored should I add to a 3ml tank to approximate 6mg?

The short answer is 1ml of the unflavored nicotine. The unflavored is a 24mg per ml of Nicotine, your 0 Nic juice is 0 Nic for 3ml, divide the total of 24mg Nic by the 4ml of the resulting juice = 6mg.

You're welcome, it's straight forward when adding Nic to No-Nic juices, and just slightly more complicated when adding to a juice containing Nic.

If you decide to DIY liquids, I'd suggest switching to 100mg/ml unflavored Nicotine, you'd only need to add .19 to .2 ML of Nic juice to the 3ml of 0 Nic, giving you 5.95 to 6.25 mg vape juice. The difference in the amount of Nic used is greater when making bigger bottles.

On Topic; I have the GeJ Grasshopper out of the Steep Box/Refrigerator, I'll give this 2-3 days to breathe before testing.

I bought the unflavored when I started just in case I wanted to boost the nic content in juices. I wasn't"t exactly sure what would fit my needs. I usually order 12mg juices, but Love this particular juice so much right now, I need to lower the nic so I can vape more of it.

I was getting a headache with the 12mg nic because I wouldn't put it down. 6mg wasn't available, so I decided to go ahead and order the 0 since I have the unflavored. I need to use it anyway, so I figured why not...

I'm not interested in DIY per se, at least not yet.

The short answer is 1ml of the unflavored nicotine. The unflavored is a 24mg per ml of Nicotine, your 0 Nic juice is 0 Nic for 3ml, divide the total of 24mg Nic by the 4ml of the resulting juice = 6mg.

If the tank holds 3mls and luvchins wants that to be 6mg/ml, then what's needed is .75ml of the nic juice plus 2.25ml of the zero nic flavored juice.

On the other hand, if luvchins starts with 3ml of zero nic juice, adding 1ml of the nic juice will yield 4mls of 6mg juice, as MFToms explains.

Either way, the flavor dilution is considerable using 24mg/ml liquid nic. A higher concentration of liquid nic (100mg/ml, for instance) would yield that 6mg/ml end result with only 4-5 drops of nic, causing much less dilution of flavor.

Enjoying some Mountain Oak Vapor's Southern Gentleman today... If you like a strong, no nonsense tobacco and you haven't tried this one yet, do it. Doesn't seem to get talked about as much as Apache on here, but I think it's right up there with it as far as strong tobacco liquids go. Just my :2c:

Agreed. Spectacular, complex tobacco vape. Apache, Southern Gentleman, and Pendragon are my MOV re-orders. SoGent took me a little while to appreciate, but ended up a huge winner for me.

Southern Gentleman is a very flavorful all day vape. I've vaped more of it than any other juice and even though I've been out of it for a while, it remains a strong favorite.

Speaking of wax and wane, I need to listen to that song. I loooooove me some Cocteau Twins!!!!

Oh, hell ya. On the chance that you are, or were, a 4AD fanboy, there's a new book out, "Facing the Other Way, The Story of 4AD." It's like Behind the Music for every one of those bands, cuz VH1 ain't gonna do it. Highly recommended.

Sorry to go ot, Patriot or something. Actually JG Blend right now.

I actually tried it off of your recommendation. Thank you, sir!
I remember that recommendation and I'm glad to have been of help.

One of the requirements for me to become satisfied with home extracting was finding a Southern Gentleman replacement. It's not real close but an extraction of Milan Tobacconists Sultan's Blend has filled that spot.

I can see that. Complex, touch of Latakia, smooth with a kick.
Thank you Jerms for encouraging me to try it after you tried Bill's version. His was extracted with heat, mine a cold soak, so I sent him a dab of mine to try. His conclusion was no discernible difference so I'm pretty happy with Sultan's Blend and really glad Bill picked it out of the vast array of pipe tobaccos.

Just finished the last of my Mountan Oak Vapors Sunday Morning. This was my favorite early morning juice for a long time and it's still a favorite. Ya it's a mild coffee flavor, really just a shaping note for a very good dark tobacco, and won't appeal to coffee snobs but it just really works for me in the morning. I had some Coffee and Cream juice from MOV so I blended it with a Burley I extracted, and while it is a different tobacco, it still scratches that first juice of the day itch. I haven't ordered juice from a vendor in months but may just have to keep MOV Coffee and Cream on hand for this blend.

Forgive me if you've already talked about this Johni, but have you tried Ahlusion's JG Blend? :)

This, word for word! I dissed it when I first tried it in another thread, came back to it a few months later, and discovered it had pulled an Ahlusion  on me. The tobacco has presented itself nicely now. I'd give it a 7/10, a solid, easy-going vape for me.

There's just something about tobacco and bananas . . .
(Looks fondly at her bottle of Jungle Juice . . . ) :D

I'm glad you made it to "super-customer" level.

/me looks in mirror. /me looks in wallet

I've made three (3) orders in about six weeks, so is it frequency or dollars that will move me to that status?:lol:

I'm just spoiled by Ahlusion ejuice. /sigh

:lol::lol::lol:

Actually, I have no idea what brings one to that level . . . and I'm not even sure if Wlad still does that for new customers! (Sorry!)

Awesome juice that I've re-stocked a number of times. I'll drop Apache off my MOV list, but Southern Gentleman will remain in my NET rotation, even if I have to change the damn wick after every tankful.

I'd rate it as a medium strength tobacco though, and nowhere near as "strong" as Apache. I could and have vaped Southern all day, but I don't think I could do the same with Apache..

Hi Eleanor. No I haven't tried JG Blend. I like Sunday Morning for the tobacco, not the coffee but have had JG Blend on my list for a long time. I may never try it as I just don't feel much need to buy juice since my stuff is keeping me happy.
