Yeah. I had a bad experience at VaporCraft with YCY, Dustmight and Mia the other day and blew clouds with a 30 mg liquid. NOT ADVISABLE! I don't know if they noticed but I casually walked to the bathroom (I thought I was going to lose it.) LOL
I recently bought 6 mg Gambit, so I am expanding my horizons. But yeah, you are correct -- 12 mg is a happy medium.
For Blackstar.... yeah I'd pay it.
I wonder if they aren't offering higher nic because 12mg is as high as most Cali vapers go? The guy did mention in the interview that he went all VG because he's into clouds (crazy Cali folk
)
I'm also making the journey to 12mg, come hell or high water. I'm actually enjoying the Ahlusion aromatics at that level.

When I tried for huge clouds (that one time) in my Trident I used a 0mg nic sampler. I swear I was using about 4 drops per inhale for the few minutes I was doing it. 30mg would knock me flat for a couple days doing that lol.

For me after sticking with mainly 12mg for a while now, it feels the same as 18mg felt for me, and now 18mg feels like 24mg felt. Just takes a little time to adjust.
At VaproCraft I used an IGO-W set-up in dual coil at ~7 ohms (wide open air flow) and that 30 mg liquid made me feel like my insides were on the outside! It seriously was unsettling after four huge hits.
My IGO-S is vaped with at least every other day, but I am moreso using it daily to perfect my coil/ohm configurations with various gauges so that I can be pretty clear on what I am wrapping without even checking (though I will always check -- it just helps to not have to unwrap/rewrap after one is set). I have a new RTA and mech coming and will be working my .... off to find my sweet spot.
As far as Portola, I feel like 12 mg was perfect -- never even realized it was low nic. I guess change ain't so bad.

In Cali they call that high nic
12 is "ok" but after some trial and error on various levels I've found that 18 scratches my itch better for now at least. But if it's something I love enough to chain vape like crazy 12 works alright. 24 turns me a little green though

Nah -- I intend on keeping the 5 amp fuse in. But don't get me wrong, I'll play for the sake of playing (likely with the 12 amp fuse), but seeing myself blowing clouds is only fun for a second, then I want to vape for pleasure, i.e., flavor.
My Tetra still hasn't arrived yet. Wonder what's up with that.
Anyway, Jerms did you ever dig into DEV? I am sure you'll let us know when you do, but I am eager to get your take -- I love reading your thoughts on liquids, bruh! You've gotten really good at distilling the myriad thoughts that come while vaping a new liquid -- that bleep ain't always easy! I've pretty much given up on reviewing in lieu of simple reactions.
