Writing from work, so I don't have them in front of me, but it was a dark brown, one of the darkest of the 7 bottles I got.

Thanks, I was afraid of that and hoping it was the old amber version, but I'm glad I resisted buying that one during the 50% off sale. It's not bad, don't get me wrong. I just liked the old amber version better.

vaping my JG blend. Man. I like this juice. If Wlad was to pull this off the site and only sell it in selected stores, I'd probably find a selected store and give them my business and if there wasn't anything local, I'd try to convince a local store that met A+'s requirements to talk to A+ about carrying it. Nothing like exclusivity of a good product to help store traffic, dun'ya'no.

SO I guess it is time I ask...what do y'all say IYHO is the best Maple NET still on the market?

I feel bad for you. Maple Burley is, in my estimation, utterly unique. The way the tobacco and delicate maple sugar are blended to turn into a unified thing isn't really something anyone else is going to duplicate -- even if they did have access to the spectacular maple flavoring. My best suggestion would be to experiment with mixing Maple Dream with some other burley-heavy juices from NET.com (well...maybe), GeJ or QNJ -- or some of those home brews.

I think everyone ought to practice their DIY too. This is just me talking, but I think that once the FDA sinks their teeth into this, commercial NETs will be among the earliest victims of regulation. Like raw milk and unpasteurized cider, it's just too natural for these safety-obsessed rulemakers.

Has anyone made or seen a NET made from Bali Shag/Drum RYO cigarette tobacco? I'm thinking about adding that one to my next round of macerations...just curious if anyone's seen/tried that variety...

I've extracted five cigarette/RYO tobaccos:

  • Skydancer cigarettes (all-natural Native American)
  • Nat Sherman MCD cigarettes
  • American Spirit Organic cigarettes
  • Peter Stokkebye Turkish Blend RYO
  • Peter Stokkebye #80 Norwegian Blend RYO
The original Drum by Douwe Egberts is an industrial-strength RYO tobacco from The Netherlands. Import into the U.S. was discontinued some years ago. A facsimile version of Drum from Republic Tobacco, makers of TOP RYO tobacco, is now marketed in the U.S. It is smoother and somewhat milder than the Dutch Drum.

Bali Shag is a Peter Stokkebye blend.

It' not just the regulation, but the opressive taxes that will follow. Sucking leaches. DIY or die.

Ok, damn the torpedoes. I am going to throw it out there.

I am considering this on topic, as I truly want the opinion of La Cosa NETstra on this. Plus, nobody knows my tastes better than you freaks.

What is the best French toast or waffle juice out there for an NET junkie? Also, how about root beer or Sasparilla?

Drum was my all-time favorite rolling tobacco almost 20 years ago. Bali Shag was a close second. I haven't had either in at least 5 years, but I remember the fragrance of that shag-cut tobacco like it was yesterday. I'm ultra curious about how it would be as a NET, but also kind of scared to buy some because of the temptation to actually...smoke it. Where did you get your RYO tobacco, Bill? Was it from an online vendor or from your local tobacconist?

I don't know about the first parts (French toast or waffle juice), but root beer would have to be BWB's Root Beer and Sarsaparilla would have to be Ahl's Sasparilla!

I have waffle DIY flavorings from Capella and TPA/TFA, but neither is particularly great. They're OK, but not special enough to be noteworthy. The best retail waffle juice I ever had was NiteLiteVapor Waffles, which tastes exactly like waffles, of course, but adds just the right amount/tone of maple syrup and butter flavors.

I second BWB Root Beer, and BWB Cola as well. Both are terrific. I haven't had Ahlusion Sasparilla, so can't comment on that. I trust that it's good, though. Mann wouldn't steer us wrong on that.

After a month and a half of steeping, the DIY NET juice made from my heat-assisted macerated PG/VG extraction of Hearth&Home Signature Freight Train pipe tobacco is starting to shine. Initially, I found the flavors murky and a bit confused. Now, however, I can taste the individual tobacco types in this complex blend---red Virginia, dark Burley, and fire-cured Kentucky Burley, plus a bit of unflavored Black Cavendish and Perique for spice. The overall effect is now becoming delicious. It's a true tobacco taste, not like an aromatic hybrid at all, but very pleasing. What an unexpected surprise! If this maturing process continues, Freight Train will be downright wonderful after another couple months.

To a lesser extent, my Hearth&Home Signature Steamroller pipe tobacco---extracted in the same batch of heat-assisted PG/VG macerations---is also coming around. Using the same mix of tobaccos as Freight Train but then finishing off with some Latakia, Steamroller adds an English feel to its non-aromatic and aromatic complexity. Advertised as the most potent pipe blend ever made by H&H, Steamroller's impact as a vaping extract is "thicker" in flavor diversity than many of my other pipe blend extracts, but it suffers a little by trying to straddle too many categories at once. The maturing Freight Train has a clearer voice, which I like better.

Another long day, no time for forum. I'll try to catch up tomorrow. Sorry if I end up responding to posts a dozen pages back lol.

I just have to post this before bed.. I loaded up Tobacco Haze from M&P a minute ago and I'm pretty sure that I love it! I don't really have much TA experience. I've had juices that have just a tiny bit of it like Smooth & Mild from TPR and H1N1 from Nico, and I've had NudeNic's tobaccos that use TA that they make, but this is the first high commercial TA juice I've had. It's way better than Nude's TA to me. Not sure what else is in this juice, I need to research it, but I'm lovin that TA!

This bottle is around 9 months old according to the date Cherry wrote on it. Does it take the long steep before it tastes like this or is it pretty similar when fresh?

50% off all premium and NET liquids through Sunday. Prices are marked down on the site, no need for a coupon code or anything.

It's a blessing I am lagging behind a number of days. I would definitely have put in an order. In fact, thinking the sale was on until next Sunday I was perusing the NETs and eyeing up the analog and cigar NETs which I haven't tried yet.

It's when I saw that no 50% off was advertised anywhere I realized I was late.

I'm any event, the $14 price tag for a 30 ml bottle of GEJs NETs is great value given their position as a solid undisputed tier 1 NET vendor.

Was Nick really selling these at $7 a pop?! My lord.

Yes, yes he was. Also 10 mls for $3. If I just vaped commercial juices like a lot of you guys, I would have gone nuts. As it is I finally can try Wild Turkey, GJ4 and a couple of synths. I went for big bottles of VB and Patriot.

I am officially sick of English blends. I'm going to do some Turkish and Virginia's for awhile. Just for a change. Plus Patriot!

Yes he was. And shipping (in the U.S.) is only a moderate $3.50. Buy two 30ml bottles, as I did, and it's 29¢/ml. Still more expensive than home-brewed DIY NETs, but a great deal for prime retail NETs. Not only that, but Nick has lightning fast shipping down to a science.

I think it was very similar when fresh.
