A few GeJ NET knocked my socks off at first vape; Vita, Fire Cured.. I forget if GJ4 did or if it grew on me in time. The biggest was Patriot, which gave me one of the greatest first impressions of any juice, up there with Sweet Georgia Peach from Ahl. Well.. add Organic #1 to that list. Hotchy motchy, wowie zowie!

I know people have mentioned receiving this as amber or motor oil dark depending on the batch. I forget which version is prefered, but mine came as the motor oil variety and is quite delicious. Organic #1 is über complex, which I wasn't expecting. I think it's a straight-up maceration without added flavors, so if that's the case the tobacco has some interesting casing. It's sweet, and almost chocolately. Extremely flavorful; no reason for me to steep, it's going right into the rotation.

For me Organic #1 is an instant home-run, a reminder why GeJ remains one of my favorite NET vendors. Thanks to those who talked me into getting it!

Glad to hear you are enjoying it. I like it a lot fresh as well, but to me it really is amazing after a few months.

Yeah, mine ain't gonna last that long...

Lol, mine neither. Will probably have to wait for a big bottle order of it until I experience it well-steeped.

I wonder if because of how dark my bottle is, if the extract is pretty well aged and if that means the mixed juice shows it steeped flavor earlier.

I'm happy to hear that you discovered a second unicorn ;)

My original bottle from last year was originally light brown in color, but over months steeped into the "dirty motor oil" color. My second bottle came close to the not-as-dirty-but-still-dark-motor-oil color. So just steeping, i.e. shelf life.

My Pipes & Cigars order arrived.
The wonderful aroma.
I can't find any of my pipes that I put away somewhere when I started vaping.
I'm just going to sit here with my head in the box and type with one hand.
I have missed this.
I don't see how I'm going to bring myself to drown these little fellows in a sea of PG.
The wonderful aroma.
The wonderful aroma.

My 30ml bottle of GeJ's GJ4 also came quite dark. Not as dark as O#1, but much darker than I remember last time. It also tastes quite different than I remember. Sometimes when I get a second bottle of a juice a while after first buying it, it tastes exactly as I remember, such as Vita Bella. Sometimes it tastes quite different, like with GJ4. I think some of the time the reason is the juice actually does taste different, and other times it's because my JDS is different or my memory is just off. Since I can't say for sure what's in play, I'm not sure if GJ4 is actually different or not, just that it tastes like a new juice to me.

So, not what I was expecting, but still amazing and delicious, one of my favorite RY4 of all time. It's much more caramel forward than I remember. The caramel is quite potent, not Caramel Wild Wood strong but close, and like CWW the caramel is exquisite. The vanilla is there too, but blends in well with the caramel instead of being obvious. The tobacco is there, though a little hidden.

I remember with my last bottle of GJ4, the tobacco came forward as it steeped. I probably vaped most of that bottle well-steeped, which may be why this fresh bottle feels so different. I really like it at this stage though, so it's going right into the rotation. It reminds me a little of CWW after that juice has steeped for a bit, but for me, for now, it's even better.

I'm still on my first 30ml bottle of GJ4, purchased two and a half years ago (Dec 2011). That's no surprise, and not a commentary on how good GJ4 is. For me, finishing any 30ml bottle of RY4 is as rare as hen's teeth, since I have 160 different retail RY4s. Add DIY RY4s to that---both from retail all-in-one RY4 flavorings and my own from-scratch concoctions---and it adds up to four liters of RY4s. Most of that stash will shuffle off to Alzheimer's sanitarium before ever getting vaped.

Anyway, my now-ancient bottle of GJ4 has turned extremely dark in color---headed toward black---and overwhelmingly, almost ridiculously tobacco-dominant. I should probably order a fresh bottle, but my days of buying RY4s are over.

Should I add some caramel and vanilla flavorings to my GJ4 to resuscitate the balance? Nah, adulterating any of my retail RY4s is not cricket and against the rules. If I ever start doing that, the floodgates will open, and I'll have to give up my lofty status as the world's RY4 Librarian. My job is to maintain the preservationist heirloom seed bank. LOL.

Of course, having publicly stated that I won't buy more GJ4, I probably will. I really want a fresh bottle of QuickNic ouR whY qu4tro---to see if a second bottle is as fantastic fresh as my first and current bottle was before long-term steeping diminished its amazing sparkle and brilliance. And if I'm gonna pop for some qu4tro, I should be fair and get a fresh bottle of GJ4 too.

Ah, so many juices, so little time (and money).

Bill, I'd be happy to send you a 5ml bottle of fresh GJ4 if you'd like. PM me your address and I'll send it out.

So, if I order their 50/50 12mg nicotine, can I just flavor it at 20% and vape away at 9.6mg of nic per ml?

Huh???? if you order 12mg that's what they'll make, the % of flavor is independent of Nicotine level... or are you pulling my leg, like Boomerdude's Perique picking

See? I told you to relax, that you hadn't ruined your maceration by cooking it at 200° for an hour, and I was right!

Yep and you were correct! Thank you!

Out of curiosity, why did you filter twice, using both the 5-micron French Press method and then after that a coffee filter?

Only because I thought I was supposed to.... The coffee filter did not really filter out anything that I could see, I just lost a little extract in the filter itself and the little bit that spilled on the plate I was working on. I did grab a syringe and suck it up, however

Lane BCA, Lane RLP, and H&H Grandma's Kitchen---I happen to have all three of those exact pipe blends waiting to be extracted.

So then I guess I can't entice you into a trade for a sample of these? One of the minor reasons I picked these was because I had not seen anyone else mention them. Most important was they sounded good!

Boomer and Johni, once I have them all filtered you can expect a package....

Bill, I value your experience. You never steered me wrong in the RY4 thread, and you give such nice, complete explanations of things with details and easy to understand. Thank you for all your help, whether you knew it or not! Thanks to everyone else in this thread, too. You all add to my joy, pleasure and knowledge in vaping!

EDIT PS, Bill, don't give up your status as the world's RY4 Librarian!!!!!!!!!

Nude Nicotine makes a 12mg nic unflavored nic base. You can order it already mixed 50pg/50vg. If I order that can I mix in my own flavor and just start vaping. Say, add 15ml of Orlik extract to 60ml of the Nude Nic 50/50 base and start vaping. (After steeping of course.) I was wondering because It would save on math work and generally make life much easier.

Hey Anthony, while I do agree that A+ pulling the Aros from their online sales is disappointing, I can appreciate the possible reasoning for doing so. Note I mention "online sales", as it is my speculation they will continue to offer them at their B&M and quite possibly by special request. As for these being a large part of their overall business, I speculatively disagree. If you jump into the thread here on the forum, the Aros rarely come up in conversation, and if they do it's usually by one of us NETizens, a significant minority in the grand scheme of things. Knowing what I know second hand about Wlad, this is a calculated business decision, that I suspect others in know feel too. Otherwise I would expect the response here to be much more fiery. In my own experience, BGB is a phenomenal liquid, but not one I need again and again. The 30ml bottle I bought months ago is likely going to last me a very long time as my sessions with it are few and far between. I think many others here would agree.

I do understand and appreciate this post. Like I said, I am a bit behind the times. It seems a lot changed in the 6 months I was 'away'.

Prior to that nothing was discussed more frequently or feverishly than the ahlusion aros. Not a day passed without some discussion of devil dog, BGB, SGP and others. Some days, the discussion of aros overshadowed everything else.

what changed in 6 months? Perhaps re-order patterns were low? Love at first sight but diminishing quickly?

Whenever I get around to extracting those three (Lane BCA, RLP, and H&H Grandma's), let's definitely swap them to compare extracts.

Bill, don't give up your status as the world's RY4 Librarian!

Don't worry. No one has yet challenged me for the job---hell, no one else seems even to want the job! No wonder, given the meager benefits and pitiful salary (actually, zero salary). LOL.

I have you to thank Mann. That order would not be coming to me if you didn't get the ball rolling for me.

I am extremely thankful to Brian as well. He went to great strains to get that sorted for me despite being a busy man, dispatching new extracts, creating new flavours, and so on.

At one point I expressed some minor consternation at Brian because it was taking a while and he simply said to me 'I am about to release some new extractions (the cavendish ones, admiral and petners pipe that were released on Vapingwatch a month ago) and I am not sending your order until I can get these to you as well' or something like that.

I am thankful he forced me to wait because I can't wait to try the 2 new cavendish incarnations, admirals pipe and petners pipe.

You guys on this forum are really amazing and generous individuals. I am living 10,000 kms or more away and yet I've had someone facilitate an order for me from a site that didn't deliver to Australia on more than one occasion.

Last year Chimps McGhee went to the trouble to get ahlusions aros to me and even when the postal system let us both down, he re-sent the returned package to me. He could have easily lied and just enjoyed the benefits of the package long after I had forgotten about it, but he was honest and generous and re-sent it to me so I could finally try Devil Dog, SGP and Dulce Cubanita.

A couple of weeks ago Johni sent me Ken Go Cotton (is that how it's spelt?) and it cost him $7 in shipping. I've tried to paypal to him the postage but he refuses to accept it and simply says 'no need, anything for a pal'.

It is extremely humbling.

That word 'community' is often associated with townships and government councils and is often over-used as lip service, but the greatest sense of community I've ever felt has been right here, on this forum, among individuals of like minds and a common interest, who mostly have never even met each other, yet have a bond and common thread as strong as in any other walk of life.

Perhaps this is one of the reasons why I am attempting my own extractions. I just want to give something back, so I am trying to develop something of quality that can contribute to this 'community' in a meaningful way beyond random posts here and there. Living in Australia, I can't mule anything for anyone that they can't already get in the US so hopefully, I am able to produce some nice extracts that I can share.

I love when things work out. It's been awhile, but I knew he would take care of you two! Cheers.
