Glad to hear that the BVC's are good. I'll be recommending them to newbies going forward. You do know that the BVC head work with the Full size nautilus too, right? Just checking..

Roger roger, Dusty. I do indeed! Didn't want to waste the pre-installed BDC :)

PS, BTW, and FWIW, I am #36 on Team ECF Folding@Home - never got my badge when I pinged the appropriate sub-forum... :( Hep' me!

OldSoldier (our previous Forum Manager) was the one that handed out the badges, but he's not been around for over a year now. :(

I'm gonna need to wrangle up another one of the Admins to take over for him. Sheesh! I wonder how many requests for badges are outstanding..

ah! That would 'splain it. Thanks, Dusty.

This just in from the Dimension V NewsDesk {*tickertape sound here*}... Managua vs the BDC is a draw at a steady 11 watts and 0.5ml vaped (W2V juices are darned good, but scary-fast coil destroyers)

I've created a request for the Admins to look into any F@H Badge requests that may be outstanding. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

Going forward, if you come across something that needs immediate Admin action, don't hesitate to create a ticket using the ECF Support link. ;)

I ordered my first two tobaccos for extraction. I expect to order the pg and final bits of kit next week.

H&H Marquee Sweet & Savory 1 OZ
This new blend is hard to describe, but its name comes close- Sweet & Savory. We use a variety of yellow and red Virginias for sweetness, Yenidje and Basma for a naturally floral note, Perique for its “plum and pepper” character, and smoky, spicy dark fired Kentucky for complexity and “kick”. This is a blend with a “whole mouth feel”, meaning that all of your taste buds are involved while smoking this unique combination

Room 101 San Andres Corona 5.5x44

From the review at StogieReview.com
The San Andres 305 started off a little earthy, with some wood notes but quickly developed the rich, and often dusty chocolate sauce flavor that would carry through until the end of the smoke. At times I picked up the raisinet-like flavor I noted in the cold draw.

Pleasant salt caramel joined the mix around the the beginning of the second third, and at times I picked up a little pepper and mocha. There was a mild heat to the smoke, and when combined with chocolate and growing savoriness of the profile, it reminded me a little of a mole sauce.

In the final act, the cigar made a small transition toward leather, though the rich chocolate sauce and some of the caramel remained...

The more I extract, the more I will hunt out the unusual. I am going to try avoiding the big names we keep seeing over and over. I will do H&H and Sutliffe because I know they work. However, I will be trying to stay away from the common names in those lines. My big exception in cigars will be CAO. I hope to get all of the major players in the "World" series that are in production and available as singles. I plan on doing the Italia, America, and Brazil, OSA Sol, and Criollo over time. I am also eyeballing some other interesting cigars. I have spent two days just digging through cigar brands.

3/20/14: Supplier status for NET is revoked.

On her way to work one morning
Down the path along side the lake
A tender hearted woman saw a poor half frozen snake
His pretty colored skin had been all frosted with the dew
"Oh well," she cried, "I'll take you in and I'll take care of you"
"Take me in oh tender woman
Take me in, for heaven's sake
Take me in oh tender woman," sighed the snake

She wrapped him up all cozy in a curvature of silk
And then laid him by the fireside with some honey and some milk
Now she hurried home from work that night as soon as she arrived
She found that pretty snake she'd taking in had been revived
"Take me in, oh tender woman
Take me in, for heaven's sake
Take me in oh tender woman," sighed the snake

Now she clutched him to her bosom, "You're so beautiful," she cried
"But if I hadn't brought you in by now you might have died"
Now she stroked his pretty skin and then she kissed and held him tight
But instead of saying thanks, that snake gave her a vicious bite
"Take me in, oh tender woman
Take me in, for heaven's sake
Take me in oh tender woman," sighed the snake

"I saved you," cried that woman
"And you've bit me even, why?
You know your bite is poisonous and now I'm going to die"
"Oh shut up, silly woman," said the reptile with a grin
"You knew damn well I was a snake before you took me in
"Take me in, oh tender woman
Take me in, for heaven's sake
Take me in oh tender woman," sighed the snake

I forgot to add that I have some Celebration pipe tobacco from Milan Tobacco that I plan to also throw in for extracting. (Thanks MFT)

Celebration
Comprised of Virginias, Burleys, and a proprietary tobacco that was specially created by Milan's master blender David Meyer to take our 100th Anniversary aromatic blend to new heights of pipe smoking enjoyment. Smooth and mild, yet rich in flavor, Celebration offers a subtle sweetness on the finish with hints of vanilla, rum, and exotic fruit. The taste and room note will cause your senses to celebrate.

Frankenmizer, apparently Misty our Suppliers Admin has been keeping up with the requests for the last year, and has processed close to 200 titles since then, last one being 2 weeks ago. Not sure if she somehow missed yours or if your request did not go through. Could you please re-submit a request by clicking this link?! http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/forms.php?do=form&fid=22

Let me know when done, and I'll follow up with Misty. Thanks!

How have you been setting up your Veritas? Single or double? Micro, mini, macro? Spring or compact wrapts?

Dual: Single strand of 32ga Kanthal looped around center post (the Faceless build), each strand 5-wrapped micro-style.
Single: 32ga Kanthal in a 5-wrap with parallel strands, micro-style.

Hey guys,

I have been really busy lately and though I have not posted much I've been reading every post on the train. I don't post much because by the time I am reading it the essence of the post has faded with the passage of time. It would be disjointed of me to chime in to a post a week after discussion has been had.

Anyway, just wanted to put in a bit of an update. I have recently acquired an Aspire Nautilus Mini. Reviews by Grimm Green and Uk e-cig store (particularly the latter with his astonishment at how well the Mini vaped at 14-17 watts). It is a brilliant device and works like a charm on my clone Hana Modz DNA30. I think this is just the setup I need to vape MVJ Juices in which it is rumored they perform best at about 11-12 watts.

The Aspire Mini Nautilus has a similar feel to a cartomizer. It never gives a dry hit, even at the higher wattages. The vape is always saturated and flavorsome. It really does have the texture and flavour of a carto without the filler taste that used to accompany the Boges of yesteryear. More importantly, it can be used with effect on NETS.

There is not much I can add here in terms of NET's right now because I have digressed and have taken a short break from my usual program of NET's to vape a bunch of samplers I got from Five Pawns and.I.can't.put.them.down.

This 'dirty weekend' I am having with Five Pawns will definitely end as soon as my River Bottom Fog Sauce arrives.

As much as I'd love to say I am fantasising about other things, right now I am fantasising about filling my Aspire Mini with Pirates Drunken Sweet Tooth.

Speaking of Vapingwatch I notice they have started to sell RBFS (and Mad Murdock for that matter) in 15 ml bottles. Perfect for those who want to tip a toe rather than plunge right in.

They also have a massive contest underway and I doubt I will be eligible to enter given that I live in Australia.

Okay, it is an obsession.

I was looking into some cigars from the Philippines. It seems that many of them are out of the question for now. Only a few places sell them and they are going $60 for 5. So, the selection is limited to only a couple available through large American distributors. On the upside I did find one that sounds very promising. It is already in the cart and waiting for my next round of tobacco purchases.

I will definitely need the taste buds of La Costanetstra over the next year.

Agree... but I do love my Confederate.. especially in a KFL+ :)

Confederate is awesome stuff, the best perique IMHO.

They need to sell in 60 ml bottles, I think Caven Fever is the best commercial Net on the market (to my taste buds.)

Single: 28ga Kanthal in a 5-wrap with parallel strands, micro-style.

Thanks for the info. That's much lower resistance than I'm going for, you must be using a wide open airflow. Couple days ago I set it up Faceless style; did dual 28ga Kanthal minis of 8 wraps each at 0.63 ohms, with airflow mostly closed off. I had mixed results. Too much TH, so will add a couple wraps for my next duals.

Now though I'm going to try a single coil vertical macro spring. I haven't wrapped a macro spring since discovering compact micros, so it's been a long time. I'm expecting my results to be... Mann, you crazy with your macro springs. :p
