I just ordered their mainstream NET line (Branded, Cuban Perfecto, HUMP, and Stogie).

We'll see what is to be seen. :)

Great!

No disrespect to the homebrewers at all, especially since there's little difference between them and vendors (at least in the parts that we are concerned with), but I still like to know that we can provide some type of coverage for those reading that are interested in retail NETs. I can't tell you all how much my research takes me to other forums where I see virtually the exact same language we talk here -- and yes, much of it began here! I love that others are reading (and sometimes appropriating) or just picking up the conversation elsewhere, but this thread should always survey the retail-landscape (even though it is quite vast nowadays -- I don't even know anymore what we should do about the first page).

My 5.5x44 Room 101 San Andres arrived and so did my 1oz order of Hearth and Home Sweet & Savory. I am stoked. The rest of the necessities will arrive by Tuesday. I will spend a portion of my day off setting up my first soaks. How will I ever wait so long to filter and taste?

In other news, MVJ's Balkan held up well all day. It isn't my favorite vape, but it will get occasional time in the Evod2. I'm hoping a little steeping will give it some more body.

I personally like being able to read about the Retail as well as the DIY homebrewed NET's in one thread... but I fear that logically they may need to split off and fork into another thread ... one being dedicated to the retail and another the DIY stuff... For me, one thread is easier to keep up with ... but I think for others it may not be.

Yeah, I don't really care one way or another -- I always read over parts that I am not interested in. Some vendors that I have zero desire to constantly read about get skipped over as well as other stuff. It's a conversation and all can take it where they must (it's even okay to have conversations with ourselves, LOL), but I do think at times it can be difficult enough for new vapers to figure out what's what even on a retail NET side, let alone in regards to the DIY side. But, hell, if you are reading a thread about microcoils, by the middle of the thread the topic will be about wrapping under tension and how to build a rig for doing just that. It's the nature of the beast and in the end, it should still serve as information -- and that's basically what this thread has become. Learning about DIY will actually lead to a better understanding of retail NETs. It all helps, but the retail end must remain a major part (obviously).

And to ramble a touch further, I think a lot of us may even be a bit burnt out on so many new vendors popping up with not a whole lot being all that impressive or offerings that are just too basic. So, the next best thing would be to take matters into our own hands. I totally get it! I still hold out hope that there will be some new vendors doing something different -- and hopefully special -- but that remains to be vaped. Checkum and I got a UK based co. coming that I recently posted about (Redvape) and Frankenmeizer has some Smugjuice coming - maybe there'll be some new winners? If not, we can always get by wonderfully with a little help from our friends.

Personally, I will deal with the regs if and when they come; until then I am a happy vaper.

Me too. If I was to stock up during every 'stock up the regs are coming!' I would have had to make massive orders about 50 times in the few years I've been vaping lol. Always followed by.. no, it's for reals this time!

Yes, changes will eventually happend. When and what is anybody's guess, and it's always a guess. If I got worked up after every announcement I'd have been a wreck for a few years now, so I just decided not to worry about it. Others are free to worry all they want of course, but I think it's a waste of a perfectly good worry.

Atta boy :D

In an unrelated note, set my Veritas up with a 1 ohm single vertical coil, and since it's a pain in the ... to wick, I decided to use a permanent wick; Nextel/XC-116/ReadyWick, or whatever it's being called these days. I was going for a dual but, well, things went awry, and I got a single. Man this thing is a pain in my .... to build. Loaded up some Blondie, Dagwood style, and it's vaping pretty good. Good enough to keep it as it is anyways.

I think, I THINK, your issue is that you mastered coiling and it may be hard for you to try an approach that is, honestly, quite a goofy method to wrapping. LOL. I hear you on the good-enough-don't-mess-with-it wrap.

I don't know if I asked you or not already, but what tool are you using to wrap and drop down that coil?

I hate that atty.... It is only AWESOME one way.... and that way is a total PITA to build and wick... My Magma puts out some pretty astounding flavor with NETs, with any juice for that matter.

Thankfully this thread is a group effort instead of relying on one. I think all of us are a bit lost in the NET world these days lol, but as a group we stay up on things fairly well.

"Hey, Bill, have you tried Natural NET Tobacco Burley Netty from that vendor, Atty Clogging Tobacco Vapor?" I can see it now. Too funny.

Using a mandrel, the Fearless method. It's those darn nuts on top that get me, along with a few other issues. Hoping a version 2 addresses that.

I also wish the airhole size could be changed on the inside somehow, so a small stream of air could be directed at the coil instead of air spreading out so much by the time it hits the coil, even when the outer hole is closed off.. if that makes any sense. I know what I mean much more than I know how to verbalize it lol.

Do you mean one of those Coil Gizmo mandrels? If so, know that was my problem as I was using that thing and it with will lead you (well, it lead me) to going though a whole damn spool of Kanthal. LOL. I took that joker (mandrel) out and snipped it to make it smaller and then it was worlds easier. A drill bit is nice too. I promise you though, if you do decide it's worth it to find out, when that atty is coiled just right it is sweet action!
