It wasn't. I mentioned WTA to Ken and his reaction was one to suggest he either knows little, or nothing, about Whole tobacco Alkaloids.

I wouldn't advise anyone who has any misgivings about a vendor do business with them. Excuses and justifications...even if facts...cannot change the past. I will say he offered no laundry list of excuses to me, merely amends and excitement about righting the wrongs of the past and moving forward. He knows this will be a long process and he says he is committed to that. The only thing Clay can do for clients he has lost or those who are reluctant to do business with him is to make amends to those people who ordered with him the last few months, and make essentially living amends to the market as a whole by providing exemplary customer service moving forward. What the market bears after that is out of his control and none of his business.

Beautifully said, BJ. :)

Can anyone either explain to me or direct me to a previous post the suspected (or confirmed?) makeup for the tobacco in the Ahlusion - Wild Wood line? I am thinking it is synthetic AND NET of some unknown orgin, but not sure. Thanks!

I have it on good authority (ahem) that the Wild Wood base is composed of Virginias, Latakias, unicorn tears, glitter, and fool's gold. :D

When I was searching for a vanilla tobacco, Ihad an email exchange where I asked for a discriptive comparison between Vurley (which I had had) and VWW. I wish I had kept the exchange, but in their reply the explianed that the vanillas were different, then they said something about the tobacco base for WW that made me wonder if it wasn't a synthetic. Unfortunately I don't have the email and I would hesitate to try to restate their wording, just that it left me scratching my head a bit.

I'd say go with Dusty on this. If you didn't like Vita Bella before, you won't like it now. Don't do it.

You can't agree with me. You're Bill the enabler.. take it back, take it back!!

All I can offer is that Caramel Wild Wood tastes to me like it contains a synthetic tobacco flavoring---a really, really great synthetic.

I love good synthetic tobaccos in the right blends. MOV Americano is one I adore. Heck, I still like Boba's after all these years. I'll take a terrific synthetic tobacco over a lousy NET hands down. Of course, a superb NET trumps just about everything.

Argh..I'm going to come off sounding like a Ken Walker fanboy on this one..whole tobacco alkaloids are discussed, along with analysis review processes, in the interview I linked above.

I certainly won't attest to his bona fides because I really have no idea what they are (or Diane's or Clay's or Wlad's, either), but he didn't strike me as a novice in the interview.

Again..argh!

LOL. My experience is that very few people change horses in mid-stream. If someone doesn't like a given juice, it's darn near certain that they won't like a new second bottle of that juice, either. So, it's not so much that I agree with you, Dusty, but when you're right, you're right. And this time you were right (even if it was for the wrong reason...).

Coincidentally I have been vaping Vita Bella today. I had it very early on in my NET journey and while I didn't hate it, I wasn't crazy about it. Back then I was still smoking, so my taste buds were probably off and I was using 808 batteries and cartos. That being said I decided to give it another try when GEJ was having their 50% off sale. This time around (smoke-free and with a RDA on a bottom fed mod) I'm enjoying it much more. To me it tastes like a lighter version of Organic #1 at it's base with a unique vanilla taste on top. Good stuff, but it's not exactly blowing my mind either.

I also ordered The Godfather... I'll give it a little more time, but so far I don't like it at all. Has a little of that taste in Huntsman and Gaia that I do not like. That sort of grassy maple flavor.

That's why I prefer to abbreviate to Walkers rather than WTA. Anyway abbreviations confuse newcomers.

It's not that I didn't like it, it's that I didn't love it. I think I will include it, just so I can give Dusty belly laughs when I review it again.

I didn't say ken was a novice. I said that a majority of his customers may be novices in the world of NETs.

I'm confused. Is he familiar with WTA and if so, why would he play dumb with Anthony?

The Room 101 San Andres is sitting in 100ml of pg and taking a warm 120 minute bath. I also started the Hearth & Home Sweet & Savory in 70ml of pg. It is sitting in it's warm bath. A good two hour jump start on the long process of cold maceration.

To me the San Andres smelled so good I wanted to light up right there. My wife sad it smelled rather like a barn yard. I thought it was mouth watering.

On the other hand, I think I put too much pg in the S&S. I used about 1/4 to 1/3 of an ounce and 70ml of pg. Then the tobacco floated up and left a small gap at the bottom.

I'm not a fan of overly sweet tobaccos but some very nice sweeter, flavored tobaccos have been home extracted lately. clnire has extracted several including Hearth and Home Signature Grandma's Kitchen which I'm really enjoying. I just finished an extraction of Missouri Meerschaum Great Dane, a deep, dark cherry tobacco flavor along with vanilla and caramel and it is rockin' my boat tonight. So Mann, there are some new, good desert tobaccos out there, you just have to ask.:D

Lately, I have been filtering extracts down to 2.5 microns and can attest that it does help clarify the extract and minimize particulates without compromising flavor. Coils will still gunk although it takes longer, primarily due to sugars cased on the tobacco. Sugar molecules are too small to filter without filtering out flavor molecules.

Glad to hear Clay is back in the saddle and wish him much success.:thumb:

Johni, being a "dog person" (see my avatar- that is Tasha, a Belgian Tervuren and I make show leads for show dogs for a living!) that Great Dane is on my "gotta try this" list! Sounds delish!

Thanks for the kudos on Grandma's Kitchen. I really like it too. Have not tasted my latest ones yet - they are steeping away. They should be sweeter flavors too. :) Lane Very Cherry, Sutliff Vanilla Royale and Sutliff Dulce de Leche. I should know next week..
