Last night I went by my local B&M as I had not been there in a while. I really should have stayed home as I bought this silly looking mod and I would have saved some money. This was made using a candy tin. Will be using this at home no doubt.

Well I think, that thing is awesome. I wouldn't mind one of those old school Nintendo controllers that are modded to vape with.

vaping EV's Turkish blend, Nomad, in my Origen since last night. It's a pretty basic macerated NET, nothing really stand-out or next-level about it, but it's still highly enjoyable with good flavor and the tobacco impact is at a pleasing level while not reeking havoc on the coil.

Jerms,

I've come to the tentative conclusion that Turkish is just too mild (and even slightly nondescript) to make an outstanding vape. I've enjoyed many synthetic and natural Turkish blend eliquids, but they are all pleasant rather than superlative, distinguished not by what makes them good but by the lack of something that would make them bad.

The only thing that has thrown me off about Turkish vapes is that some taste overly floral. Otherwise I agree. They aren't bad, they just aren't as pleasing as a good Va/Per or Latakia blend. They just don't hit that mental switch in nearly the same way.

Since I'm new to the thread and to vaping I thought I might type a little introduction. I started smoking when I was 15 and gave them up after 45 years. I've been a menthol smoker my whole life and have found I've developed a taste for natural which, led me here...to find the rightous path.

Ether was my introduction to NETs. Eclipse is topping my list as of now followed by Midnite Lites. I have several more meditating as yet to try. I wasn't a fan of Top Leaf but, I'm going back and try it again. I'm not at the point ot descriptions of particular flavors but, the complexity and density have grabbed me. It's a whole new road to explore.

Started vaping St Stevens from Ethervapes yesterday afternoon and been vaping it since. It came in about 3 weeks ago, put it in my eliquid cabinet, and kinda forgot about it. Found it when I was reorganizing the cabinet yesterday. Glad I did. The Virginia's and Orientals blend well and I taste them more at the beginning of the exhale. The last part of the exhale is rounded out with Latakia bliss (at least for me as I like Latakia). It really grew on me and will probably reorder more next order. I find EV puts out some real tasty NET's; one of my favorite vendors. Not sure if it is the more than reasonable price or the way the juice brings out the earthy flavors of the tobacco and blends them nicely. Either way, I likes em.

On another note. I find I don't really taste anything on the inhale. Instead, I taste things in stages of the exhale since I tend to exhale slowly through the nose. The beginning of the exhale seems to be more for the Virginia/Burley/Oriental blends while the end of the exhale seems more for Perique/Latikia/ and any other flavor present in the liquid. Is this strange or does anyone else have similar experiences?

Been vaping Old Dominion Maple Burley in a Plume Veil single micro-coil, cotton, at 1 ohm. Wow! that there is some Burley on the exhale. Very nice, slight Maple on the inhale. Burley is very pronounced. Gonna stick with this the rest of the day.

Juicy, you tried this yet? Maybe the Maple Burley you've been looking for.

I have limited experience with Turkish vapes, but Sahara Blend and Hump Back from QnJ both fall into the outstanding category for me. I've yet to try Wild Turkey from GeJ and NETcom's single varietal Turkish. I do have RealExtract's Turkish on hand, though haven't tasted it yet. Planning on doing some first tastes sometime this weekend.

Welcome! Midnite Lites is probably my favorite from EV. The mellow chocolate right out the mail gets much more pronounced after a few weeks; a very enjoyable chocolate at that which blends oh so nicely with the tobaccos. It really reminds me of a cigar. I'm kinda new to this thread (relative to how long this thread has been going on) as well but these fine folks haven't kicked me out yet so think they're okay

Decided to load up Turkish from RTE since I'm vaping Ether's Nomad and have a Turkish to compare it to. The specific Orientals used in this NET according to RTE are Yedenji and Izmir; Virginia is also used in this.

The wording used hints at the use of whole tobacco leaves that they sun or heat cure themselves. Or.. they may just be describing normal curing methods and spinning it in a way that makes it sound like that. Here's what they say, you be the judge..

"We start with fresh whole leaf tobacco..The leaf is cured.by either natural sun drying or by slow "stoving" or low heat drying. We do not use open fire curing methods to cure our tobacco as we wish to minimize adding anything that may contribute toxic properties to our extractions. (Smoke and products of fuel combustion add things we do not want)."

Alright, here's my first impressions of RealTobaccoExtract's Turkish. I've been playing outside in the hot sun most the day so my taster probably isn't at 100%..

Right now for me this tastes very similar to EV's Nomad, and my reaction is mostly the same; solid tobacco impact of a slightly mild and exotic leaf, tasty and enjoyable though not exemplary. Analogish pipe/cig feel. Side by side I'm getting just a very subtle difference between them. That makes it worth pointing out that EV is much cheaper than RTE, so I don't see a reason at this point to spend the extra at RTE if someone's looking for a solid Turkish.

Thanks for this^^^

When when BJ was trying Maple Wildwood, it spurred me to start my Window Extraction of ~1/4-1/2 oz of the Milan Old Dominion. After 43 days, I'll be doing my filtering and reduction tomorrow, I figured it would be a good Autumn Vape. I'll also be completing my Captain Black (White pouch) and Milan Celebration, also a 43 day maceration.

I don't know if you've tried AHL's cocoa Blend, this was a strong Burley vape with a nice background Cocoa flavor, one of AHL's better tobacco's for my taste.

We really don't kick anyone out, they usually accomplish this on their own... Liquid Courage was probably their accomplice. :vapor:

Next up for my first impressions of RTE is English Classic, a single varietal extract of yellow bright Virginia. Those who know me will probably think I'll really like this.. and they'd be right. Great flavor, for me who really enjoys Virginia tobacco. Familiar bright, grassy taste that I really fall for.

I wouldn't order it though, not at the $1 per ml they ask for. I don't mind higher prices if the vendor is bringing something new or special to the table, such as RBFS and Ahl (still much cheaper than these). But so far, these seem like the same product other maceration vendors like NETcom an EV offer at a fraction of the price. Great product, at the same level of high quality made by those others and also our gang of home brewers, but I don't see much discussion of these happening here until they're given their proper price-point.

All that said, this bottle of English Classic gets a big thumbs-up from me flavor-wise.

I was waiting for your review to see if it was similar to what I was thinking. Yep, it was. They are real quality liquids with outstanding tobacco tastes. However, at a buck a mil, I can't see paying that. Especially since there are others out there with outstanding tobacco's at half the price. Now if the price was brought down, I would buy enough to stock up as I can vape Cowboy all day without getting sick of it. Just not at that price.

Whew, coffee is about as strong as I go with liquids nowadays so should be safe :D

As for Cocoa Blend. I have tried it and have a little left. It's a winner. However, Ahl took it off the menu as they got rid of Aro's so it will probably be the only bit I get to try. I kinda liked the few Aro's of theirs that I was able to try; they seen me coming and took em off the menu
