The last couple of weeks have been spent testing, practicing and learning. Over Thanksgiving break I tried several of the juices I'd let meditate for a month or so including Clay's Va/Per blend and Smoked Latakia ( I have his Black Cavendish left to try.) RBFS St. James Parish Perique and GeJ's Organic #1. All good in their own respect.

The Smoked Latakia and St. James Parish blew my face off when I first inhaled. Then they mellowed out and were spectacular.
The Va/Per was very well balanced. The Perique didn't try to wrestle the other to the ground. Btw, this is one reason I like EVs Confederate. The Perique plays well with others and EVs blend is just as balanced but, it seemed to me fuller and more robust. Taking into account that Clay's may need a longer sit.

Also in the last couple of weeks I got lucky and scored a VS rDNA 30 and Hana V.3 from the same gentleman on the Classifieds and have been learning what resistance and power works better with these great blends.

Wonderful road y'all helped me get on. Diggin' the hell outta it...

Thanks for that. I recently got a couple of Magmas but, haven't tried the Nomad in them. Will do!

I have a magma on the way, along with an rDNA 40. I can't wait to try some of my juices with this combination. The one thing that sold me on the magma was how reviewers emphasized flavor enhancement over clouds.

Jerms , i'm assuming you'll be ordering confederate from ethervapes? I implore you for the sake of tastebuds get the free 10ml of the bright burley to go with it.
Yeah, I'll pick up Confederate as I dig VA/Per blends. Probably not Bright Burley though since I'm not that big into blends that are mainly air cured burley.

I have tried three from Ethervapes so far and liked two out of the three.

- Confederate was a very solid and satisfying vape imo. A little disappointed that it didn't have a touch more perique but that's a personal preference. For those inclined to have an ADV i can see the potential.

- Nomad was average as far as Turkish blends go but nothing more imo. I have had better Turkish blends. Gunkiest of the three i tried as well.

- Midnite Lite was pretty tasty. A sweeter ( chocolate and vanilla cased ) blend but not annoyingly sweet. Good Virginia/Burley base. I would re-order this one.

Preliminary A tier vote.

I have four more on hand and plan to try them this week. Will post my impressions.

It was your review on Confederate at EV that convinced me not only to purchase it, but to get 2 bottles of a juice I had never tried. I'm holding you personally responsible if it don't like it.
Hey Red, I'm pretty sure you are safe. LOL!

Vanilla Skye is one of my all time favorites. I have had Gold Leaf, Top Leaf, Nomad, and Eclipse. All top notch and pretty clean vaping. I have Dark Skye and Bright Burley steeping for treats next Monday - my 2 year vapeaversary! I have not been disappointed with anything from Ethervapes.

Are any of these ready to be moved into other Tiers?

New NET Vendors (too recent for a Tier rating yet)
DownEastVapes
EtherVapes
Nirvana/TrueLeaf
Trabuco
IndigoVapor
Smug Juice
Real Extracts, LLC

My thoughts on these for ranking:

DEV: C. I like many of the flavorings they use, but their tobacco base isn't what most NET vapers would enjoy. Many here really disliked the tobacco notes offered, some like me put up with it but wouldn't reorder or recommend to others.

EV: A. Obviously a quality product, enjoyed by many at the same level as other top tier maceration vendors. The owner is committed to the product, works to improve them, and is customer focused here on ECF. I think Ether is A worthy and few here would argue against that.

Trabuco: C. Much like DEV, not what most NET vapers here are looking for.

RE, LLC. A. Speaking purely of quality, these are at the level of the top tier maceration vendor NETs. I think the only ones here to try them though have been Vicman and I?

Hi all, I need some help from your collective NET expertise. I am a Walker's junkie and have an order pending but there is some kind of delay, and as I am flush out of Walker's and low on other NETs I thought I'd look around for something else to order. I have tried EtherVapes, RBFG, MVJ, Ahlusion, and do enjoy them all, but would really like something as close to Walker's as possible, so would especially appreciate suggestions from others familiar with his juices.

I was on HoL's website since I thought I might as well give those a shot but they don't seem to have anything in 6mg in stock. Might Dirty Monkey be something to look into?

Thanks in advance,

Fouroulou

They'll get you closest to the Walker experience, especially the Signature Blends tobacco line.

From the sounds of it, Ethervapes need to be moved up to a tier. Where's all the regulars from on here?! Thoughts please..

Dusty,

I've not purchased or vaped retail NETs from any of the newer NET vendors, except for the very occasional sample sent to me by one of my friends on the thread, but those have been limited to Clay's RY4 from N-E-T, a couple losers from Trabuco, and some of the TA-based juices from Indigo. I still have a stock of retail NETs from the more established vendors, but most of my NET vaping these days is from extracts made at home. As a result, I don't have an informed opinion about the vendors being discussed on the thread today---EtherVapes, RealExtracts, TrueLeaf, or Walker's, for instance---since I haven't vaped any of their liquids.

You've been hearing from them... they're a bit newer, but have been here awhile. I still follow this thread, just not a whole lot to add as far as retail is concerned. Others like myself & Bill vape our own exclusively, and BJ hasn't been around at all.

As usual, Bill's faster on the keyboard than I. :D

Bill, my first order from Indigo will include several of their tobaccos, both artis and NET/TA. Which would you suggest I go heavier on, the artis or the TAs?

When I get a 30ml glass bottle I transfer some into a 10ml PET for dripping and fill as needed. The glass I keep stored in a dark place so of course it ages much slower than what's in the plastic dripping bottle that's opened, closed, shaken and dripped from.

Anyways, getting near the bottom of the 10ml bottle of RBFS's KillRY4, and dripping it I was thinking it is pretty sweet but not as much as I thought at first. Just refilled the bottle from the stored glass bottle and dripped and... wowsa, yep it really is super sweet lol. Moral of the story, if you find KillRY4 to sweet, let it steep with whatever method you use and it will back off quite a bit.

Personally, I happen to really dig it both ways. Even at it's sweetest I find it highly enjoyable. After vaping a couple very dry juices for a couple days (EPM's Long Bottom Leaf and Oak Barrel Cider), the sweet kick is really a joy.

I didn't try them purely based on the cost ( $ 30 for 30 ml ). I know they have a more affordable sample pack, but even if i liked them i couldn't justify the cost when all the other A tier vendors are priced in the $ 13 to $ 22 range. Heck i have only ordered RBFS when they have had one of their infrequent sales and they are eight dollars cheaper than Real Extracts.

Their single varietal extracts are reasonably priced though.
