I personally don't see the point in using a super smooth nicotine that, at any given nicotine level, feels like a much lower nicotine level. Given that nicotine isn't exactly healthy for us, one would prefer to drop their nicotine levels to have a smoother nicotine hit, than to opt for a nicotine type that behaves like lower Nic levels. Kind of worst of both worlds really?

Anthony,

I've used liquid nic from eight different vendors in sufficient quantities to have amassed a body of experience. I currently have nic from MyFreedomSmokes, RTSVapes, HeartlandVapes, and Vaperstek (in both varieties, regular/smooth and throat hit/dirty). Although I like them all, they differ in flavor. No two are identical, although MFS, RTS, and HV are much closer to each other than VT. Vaperstek is clearly the most neutral-tasting nic I've vaped. I've been using the two VT nics almost exclusively over the past eight months.

For me, less throat hit is definitely not equivalent to lower nic levels. Using VapersTek's regular/smooth nic, I still get the full delivery of nicotine drug impact to the brain at all the different mg/ml doses. I just don't get as much throat hit.

Along with many fans of VT nic, I've found that flavors in DIY juices come through more strongly and without alteration or masking when mixed with VT nic. As a result, less flavoring is needed to achieve the desired flavor saturation. I agree with you that tobacco flavors are naturally associated with throat hit, so I use VT's throat hit nic for all my tobacco-based juices and reserve VT regular/smooth for my non-tobacco blends---fruits, desserts, etc.

That said, I continue to enjoy the peppery taste and greater impact (in throat hit) of my other liquid nics. When mixed with unflavored PG or VG, those other nics produce a flavor that's reminiscent of real tobacco---obviously not as strong as with natural tobacco extract, but the aura of tobacco is definitely present.

Let me add the postscript that my experience is unequivocally personal, subjective, and anecdotal. YMMV.

Wonderful stuff Jerms! I always wondered what you look like. You look younger than I had imagined.

Come to think of it, how come no one on this thread uses a photo of themselves as their profile picture?

Thanks! I'm 34 but look much younger. All the vodka from my reckless days tore up my innards while preserving my outer youth [emoji23]

I'm new to NET and vaping, 6 months. Give me the hit. I haven't ordered from this vendor yet but it's an interesting conversation. As NET users aren't you still chasing the smoking experience? Without the bad health, smell, able to smoke indoors etc. of really smoking a good cigar or pipe? I know you guys have been around a while, but I gotta say...I need the nicotine hit and flavor still and I thought I finally found it w/ NET. Don't go lame on me now Vendors!

My two cents.

Not sure about the others but will have to answer no, not vaping NET's to chase the smoking experience. However, I found them while looking for it. See, when I started vaping, the smoking experience was something I wanted to find more than anything. Thought it was the only way I would get off of cigarettes for good. That led me to try about 20 different companies, none of which satisfied that itch. That is what led me to try MOV and a few of their synthetics which did ultimately get me off of cigarettes for good. It was also the company that introduced me to NET's as I ordered Hey Jack, they since removed it from their lineup. The tobacco and maple tasted real good which led me to try a couple others in their NET line; Pendragon and Full Virginia Flake. They were decent but not quite like Hey Jack so I continued to order that one every time I ordered from them.

Fast forward a bit, I stumbled onto the ECF and this thread. I thought I knew it all as I was a MOV fan boy at the time. After reading the thread for a while I decided to try a few of the other vendors being talked about. I felt like a color blind guy being introduced to the color red for the first time. The taste of pipe blends just blew my mind and got me to try others. I even found out I liked cigar NET's (maybe more than pipe blends at times). I did stumble on some blends that remind me of cigarette blends but that is not my primary reason for NET's; it was a result of using them. My vape life has never been better but it is not because I am chasing the smoking experience, it is cause I am experiencing fine tobacco for the first time in my life and finally see what the hype is about.

To expand on that a bit, in my smoking days, I was just a 2+ PAD Marlboro guy for 27+ years. Never knew anything but smoke and ash; it was nasty but I thought I liked that. My only dealings with cigars were late night poker games in my youth and when friends or family had kids (it's a boy/girl cheapo type). My only dealings with pipes was my grandpa smoked one, a fine smelling one, but he left us in 1980 so not really much to go on but a memory. Plus pipes are not big in my part of the world, well maybe with my crowd at least. Never thought I'd get into any of these things as they just seemed so foreign to me.

I know this was a wordy way to say this but NET's ended my search for the smoking experience as I now never think about it anymore.

My two cents.

Unlike Vicman i was chasing that smoking experience ( without the bad breath and foul smelling apt. and clothes ) , and just like him MOV nets ( especially Southern Gentleman ) were largely responsible for my clean break from smoking. Southern Gentleman is still one of my favs even after trying easily seventy other NET blends. After a while i started enjoying HHV's sweeter blends as well and an added bonus was that my coils ( didn't re-build at the time ) lasted a lot longer too. The rest of my story is very similar to Vicmans too except for the cigar extracts which still don't move me tbh.

I'd use mine but there's a photo size limitation.

That sounded so wrong ha ha

You speak like a man of great maturity, composure and with a great deal of diplomacy, more like someone of 54. Great job Jerms.

I am 43 going onto 23. I am an emotionally immature, passionate youthful zealot, that for whatever reason, refuses to grow up.

Anthony and Jerms, a couple of young whipper snappers! A "female dog" does not divulge her age. But she is 8 yrs old today. Her "mother" (me) is a LOT older! And I mean a LOT!
