Recently I flubbed and let my values get in the way when I should have known better. I think AARP considers anyone over 50 to be a senior so I must have had a senior moment

Last weekend I placed an order with NET.com. All were re-orders except for one, kind of. Ordered a couple of my favorite hybrids and a couple of the tobacco blends with Burley Blast being the first time I ordered this although I had a sample at one time.

On Monday I contacted Clay as I have been eyeing his custom French tobaccos and was curious to try them. I have had an English blend a while ago that included Latakia and Oriental plus maybe another tobacco if I remember correctly. Not being familiar with Latakia and Oriental I thought maybe it was the Latakia in the blend that I did not care for but who knows. Wanting to thread lightly with anything that has Latakia in it I asked Clay if he could please send me a sample of Gypsy Blonde. My order arrived yesterday and in addition to what I purchased he also included samples of both Gypsy Sisters, Blonde and Brunes who are somewhat related as I understand it. I will let them steep and then give them a try. Has anyone tried these, thoughts?

Gypsy brunes is fantastic. I had a sample of that and it was one of the first to go from that order.

The Gypsy Blonde will let you taste latakia for sure. I thought it was a nice blend (have not picked it up in a couple weeks but do like it). The Gypsy Brunes is totally different. It is described as having an almost raisiny taste which is pretty spot on. Very complex as to me, Brunes was difficult to detect just what type of tobacco was in there; I liked it as well.

I'll give you one guess who's got a special going again... :)

Buy this and then let it sit in a dark drawer for about three months. Come back in May and say thank you.

I did not like this flavor at all to start with. At a month, it was a little better. At three months I liked it quite a bit. This is like buying a fresh rolled cigar. You know it will be good, you just have to be very patient.

Same thing with my Clay's Cognac Infused, very weak first tried, 3 months later the cigar comes through nicely and strongly. Like the Petrus, cigar flavors improve significantly with age.

I have that same thing happening with my Bourbon-Seasoned Cigar right now. Right out of the mail it was bland but after a month in a half, it is coming along and am getting some nice spice notes from it. Being kind of patient with it as it is improving with age. On the other hand, I bought a bottle of Starry Night at the same time. It was strong right out of the mail but all I could get out of it was a cigar taste; none of the notes were coming through. Fast forward to now, it mellowed out a bit and some of the woodsy notes are coming to the forefront; still not getting too much peach but there is a fruity essence to it now. This one really is a nice cigar, probably my new favorite from him and will have to reorder as I'm almost out now.

I recently made my first foray into NETs and placed orders with NET.com, EtherVapes and MyVapeJuice. From NET.com, I went with Coventry, Bombay and 'Dat Caramel Brownie In'Da Pipe? and received Fire-Cured Burley and The Boss as samples. From EtherVapes, Confederate, Eclipse and Honey Wood and I got Classic Caramel as a sample. MyVapeJuice, I ordered STP Our RY4 and a sampler pack with Drew Estate Heirloom Cherry Pipe Tobacco, Dunhill Nightcap Pipe Tobacco and Hearth & Home Signature Louisiana Red Pipe Tobacco and got Sutliff Private Stock Blend 5 Pipe Tobacco as a sample. So far, I've tried the Our RY4, Coventry and 'Dat Caramel Brownie and I'm pretty impressed. I know the Coventry and 'Dat Caramel Brownie will improve with time but I'd read that Coventry can be enjoyed right out of the box so I didn't wait to steep (I'm vaping it as I type, actually). Our RY4 is pre-steeped and ridiculously good IMO. Any thoughts on how long I should let the rest steep? I was gonna go with a month but do any of these require more steeping?

All good choices. The RY4 really smooths out after steeping. I ordered Coconut Cavendish, Grilled Pineapple, and BJs Blackberry Burley with extra coconut, pineapple and...um, BJ.

For me as a general rule I steep my NETs for a month and sometimes longer especially if I have a backlog. If it is too sweet for my taste, I let it steep longer. Same for the hybrids where the hybrid flavor is in the forefront, I will steep longer to allow the tobaccos to come forward. I have been vaping Coventry for the last day and this has steeped for approximately six weeks only because of what I had in my stash. I am not familiar with MVJ nor all of the EV NETs you mentioned other than Confederate which I did let this one steep for approximately a month as well. Alternatively you can sample them every week or two to see how they taste to you. If you are not feeling it, let them steep longer. Some people like their eliquids FOOB.

The two hybrids I received this past week included Coconut Cavendish with extra Coconut and Grilled Prineapple which for myself I like it as is without additional pineapple. Hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

With the MVJ I would say about two weeks for the Drew Estate and Night Cap. The Night Cap will be even better at a month or more. The Drew Estate is best in the 1 - 3 month time frame, in my opinion. The whole Drew Estate line is good and does best in the 1 - 3 month window in my experience.

Yep, it's true. The super smooth nicotine which was used in place of the original nicotine, by Vash at Ethervapes, has no throat hit.

Vash did not hesitate to send me a replacement order, and the expensive priority international postage to Australia at no cost to make good on it. And he did it with a smiley emoticon in his emails.

What a guy!

Would you believe me if I said the cognac infused and bourbon infused are even better after 12 months along with the rest of Clays cigar extractions? :)

Great guy indeed. I woke up this morning to an email saying Ether Vapes had shipped a package.

Well actually, so did I! Vash was going to send out the replacement package on Thursday.

I have sampled some of the liquids he sent me and despite the lack of throat hit, I am quite pleased with the flavors. Even though they are not steeped and lack throat hit I am enjoying the flavours. The dark Skye with spiced custard might develop into something special. Gold leaf is bordering on spectacular already.

I would believe that. However, due to circumstances beyond my control (kinda an addict when it comes to this stuff...lol), not sure it will make it a year :vapor:

Recently I have been testing a new eliquid for NET.com — a teabacco named Red Ruby which I really enjoyed. Red Ruby uses a rooibos tea and I had to look this up since I was not familiar with it. Red rooibos is a bush plant grown in South Africa and technically is not a tea plant. The leaves are used to make an herbal tea. It has a somewhat mildly earthy and slightly sweet taste which I enjoyed. Virginias were used to add the subtle tobacco taste as well as the subtle sweetness. And yes, the liquid does have a red tint to it. I don’t know if my brain was playing tricks on me knowing I was vaping a teabacco however I felt quite relaxed while vaping this  . I did not steep this for my usual one month so I will try it again in another three weeks or so. No doubt the taste/flavor will reflect differently on each individuals palette as well as based on atomizer type. I believe Clay has some other teabaccos that other people are testing but I am not 100% positive.
