So, I may have solved my problem of going through so many coils now that I'm enjoying NETs. I was getting frustrated that my Kanger dual coils were gunking up and tasting "off" just after a couple of tanks in my PT3. I bought a Tugboat RDA clone yesterday and although that works great, I only have 12 mg juices right now and felt the nic almost right away.

So I decided to try a micro-coil/cotton build on my little Evod. After watching a few videos I went to work. I got it right on my second try. The coil ended up at 1.6 ohms and I'm really liking the taste with the organic cotton. Now I should just be able to replace the cotton and give it a quick dry burn and rewick, right? I should save some money anyway and I'll get some lower nic juice on my next order for my tugboat.

Yep, I'm proud of myself and happy that I found a solution so I can keep enjoying these NET juices.

You got it; remove wick, dry burn, new wick. Dry burning coils is almost mandatory when vaping NETs, unless someone is willing to rebuild often or put up with the off flavor of a gunked coil.

Wick preference is subjective, but many find they prefer the flavor and wicking of cotton pads like Koh Gen Do or rayon as in CelluCotton to organic cotton. That would be your next step if you want to experiment further.

I've just recently gotten in sub ohming though the purchase of a kanger subtank and Istick (30 and 50 watt. Love them both!). My general foray into sub ohming has been with gourmet synthetics but I want to try with NETs.

Any opinions on this?

Most of my NETs have too much nicotine to subohm but I have a swag of Boomers NETs from last year of which I might mix some of them down to 3-6 mg Nic and send them on their way to e-juice heaven.

Most of my NETs have too much nic and I don't even sub ohm lol. I'm at 0.9 to 1.25 on a mech depending on the dripper, most at 1 ohm.

My problem has been the increased nic hit with rayon which I've discussed, but also discovered another issue. The bigger drippers I've gotten into like the Origen, Magma, Quasar, and Veritas deliver more nic and go through juice quicker than the mini drippers I'd always used before. Why this is I have no idea, but I need to vape less often with the big drippers, even using cotton, than I'd prefer. The smaller ones I can go to town, even with rayon.

I've come to prefer the newer, larger drippers and rayon which is why I'm moving to 6mg. The only problem is it's taking forever to use up 12mg stash! One doesn't realise how much juice is too much until needing to use it up lol.

For a bit now it's been KGD in big drippers and rayon in small, and dealing with the occasional nic sick when I overindulge.

Mirco coils are excellent for NET juices, I've found the non-contact coils need less frequent dry-burns than the contact coil variety. I'm able to vape ~12-14ml before dry-burning the non-contact, with the contact coils I was dry-burning after ~5-6ml.
Spaced micros go noticeably longer for me too. Rayon + spaced coils is pretty impressive with moderately gunky NETs.

Sorry. Long post.

I've completed all of my orders. 772ml of juice coming to try. May take me a few months.

I did try the 4 True Leaf Vapor varieties I recently received:

Amber: Nice fresh tobacco taste with a bit of sweetness on the exhale. I could vape this all day. 5/5

Windfall: A bit more in your face tobacco flavor that reminds me of a cigarette on the exhale. I get a little of that smokey flavor a burning cigarette has. Not nasty like. Hard to describe. A little ashy but not ashtray is the best I can do. 4/5

Midnight: Something I want to vape when I'm drinking excessively. Reminds me of inhaling campfire smoke. I get the tobacco and it's definitely in your face. Bitter on the exhale. No sweetness to it at all. I can only vape this maybe 4 times a day but I keep coming back for some odd reason. Least favorite. 3/5

Dusk: A little different from Amber. Has a sweetness to it that I enjoy. Strong throat hit and a bit more fresh tobacco taste. 4/5

I tried all 4 using a Russian 91% at 1.7ohms and 14 watts and a Kayfun V4 clone same resistance and wattage. All are 18mg nic. Same with the list.

I'm not a tobacco aficionado (obvious eh?). I smoked the red and light cowboy killers for 30 years and have been vaping for over a year. I do miss analogs every once in awhile but have managed to stay clear. After hitting on some of these, that task of avoidance is easier.

So far, the 4 I have tried have greatly impressed me whereas the synthetics have not. So as you look over my list and agree that I have gone a bit overboard, I think it's worth it.

Here is the final list of what I ordered over the past few days based on reading what you folks have commented on. I'm sure there may be a few I don't like but the risk of not trying and missing something really great (like I have with not picking up NETs earlier) seems like a big one :)

Zee list:

Just Criminal AHL
Sahara Blend AHL
House Blend AHL
Organic Tobacco #1 GeJ
Wrangler Light Tobacco GeJ
Acadian Gold GeJ
Analog GeJ
GJ4 GeJ
Vita Bella GeJ
Wild Turkey GeJ
Patriot GeJ
Legend HHV
Dragons Fire HHV
Heavenly Army HHV
Dark Horse Purity HHV
Huntsman HHV
Southern Gentleman MOV
Apache MOV
Sunday Morning MOV
Full Virginia Flake RY4 MOV
Big Spirit NET
Speaking Spirit NET
NS Brown NET
True Leaf Amber VaporDNA
Louisville Blend W2V
Paris Blend W2V

I'm not sure what needs to steep but plan to put it away if I don't like it with the plan of letting it sit for a few weeks. :?:

Oh and that stupid banner below that says I saved $3305. Not quite on target.

I'm in the same tugboat Jerms (get it? A sub ohm dripper joke).

I could get nicotine high vaping at above 1.0 ohm easily and often did. The magma was kicking my ...... even with 12 mg liquid. It's only now I've picked the magma back up with some 3mg Mothers Milk or 6mg fruity synthetics from Ethervapes, that I can hit the Magma hard.

Ultimately, I've invariably always used too high nicotine in my drippers and didn't even realise it until now. During the first two - three full years of my vaping, a dripper was a fixed coil in a tiny atomizer that rarely was lower than 1.5 ohms, so on some sub conscious level of logic I habitually stuck to 18 mg nicotine even though I was getting into Igo-Ls and Phoenixes and then the more powerful drippers like the Magma.

No wonder I was nicotine high every other day.

I have way too much juice to try and vape it off to make way for lower nic juice which is commensurate with the quality and power of current devices.

I still have juice from 2-3 years ago at 24 mg and most of my 2013 and half of 2014 orders were in the 18 mg strength. Only recently have I dropped to 12mg. I really should have started to drop my nicotine in 2013 when the era of rebuildables first started to emerge or even back in 2011-2012 when variable wattage was becoming a reality.

So now, as dysfunctional as this seems, I tend to use the devices that correspond with the juice strength. I still regularly use old 510 drippers at work or at home with 18 mg liquid and stick to 12-15 mg in my tanks.

Morning
This weekend was testing the Not Quite Ready For Prime Time. Those that are recent orders that need to get a little older. Snapshot impressions.

MVJ w/Borkum Riff Special Mix 8
https://www.myvapejuice.com/product_info.php/cPath/22_77/products_id/1146
Comes across much like it's description. I think this will develop into a fine complex blend. It was the highlight of the testing.

NET's Coconut Cavendish
https://www.naturally-extracted-tobacco.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=Coconut-Cavendish
NET's Grilled Pineapple
https://www.naturally-extracted-tobacco.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=Grilled-Pineapple
NET's Uncle BJs Blackberry Burley
https://www.naturally-extracted-tobacco.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=BJsBlackBerry-Burley

All of these had a great balance of tobacco and flavoring. I'm guessing the tobacco will come out a little more with age. I'd gotten a sample of the original Blackberry off the Classifieds and it was overwhelming with the blackberry. Big Juicy's recommendation is a great balance.

NET's Izmir/Oriental
https://www.naturally-extracted-tobacco.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=Izmir-Oriental
At this time it was a little Turkish bold. I've tried NET's Turkish and that's what I was getting more of. Also, needs more time.

NET's The Ministe
https://www.naturally-extracted-tobacco.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=the-Minister
This was also well balanced and I think it might become a favorite.

All tried through either Marquis or Magma single coil at .8 to .6 ohms with KGD in the Marquies and Rayon in the Magma.

Drizzly and cold all weekend. It was nice to hang out and give these an initial try while bing watching House of Cards and Curb Your Enthusiasm...hehe.

Strong tempt ! :)

How did you get it as it's not sold yet on their site ? Do you know when we'll be able to order them (DD, BGB...) ?

It was sent to me for some feedback. I actually heard from Wlad today and was told to let it steep for a week. I already vaped (at least) 3ml of it. Ha! I'm not going to comment on flavor, other than to say that it's definitely very similar to the original naturally-extracted tobacco version, but obviously different.

The fantastic news is that it vapes cleanly. After 3ml on a 0.40-ohm dual-coil setup set between 22-30 watts on a regulated box mod, my coils are very clean.

Seems reasonable to me. We may have seen some pretty neat improvements in our chimneys, but that doesn't take away from the fact that those old 510 dripping atomizers provide a pretty great vaping experience. Not as ideal as the newer technology, but enough to keep me satisfied for the couple years I used them.

If I had some 24mg nic juice I wanted to drip at home I wouldn't hesitate reaching for one of my old, unused 510 or 901.

Let it steep for a week...... Wlad's silly. Think you may do a vid review later on these?

I'll definitely do something. I'm not sure what just yet. I was going to include in in a future Vape 48 episode, but this particular juice is important enough to me that I might give it a standalone piece.

I agree with you Tele on the MVJ Borkum Riff Special Mix 8. A month or two ago I suggested Diane look into extracting this tobacco and I'm glad she took my suggestion to heart.

Your list of purchases is so reminiscent of the kinds of orders I used to put in that would have me excited like a kid in a candy store.

These are great selections. Good times are coming for you!

Based on what you seem to like in the Truleaf line up, I expect you are going to love HHV liquids. I just hope they are up to their usual standard because HHV's liquids have fluctuated in flavour. When they are good, they are very very good. Perfect for a bit of a sweet tooth.

Absolutely. I've got some VKS (German attys) and Cisco Spec attys that produce flavour as good as anything on the market today.

Anthony,
you are correct sir. Should have seen me tearing into the packages. Christmas all over again.
I've had a chance to try a few and here my initial impressions:

Big Spirit (NET): I couldn't get much flavor out of it. Maybe I need to request additional? It went into the cupboard to rest for awhile. I could not detect any tobacco flavor at all.

Legend (HHV): A little perfumy but a nice light flavor. Into the cupboard it went. I know that flavor from a synthetic I've had before - just cant remember where or what it was.

Analog (GeJ): Different but not quite an analog. I think its a little too sweet for an analog

Paris (W2V): YES YES YES. Bold flavor. I love it.

On a side note, I'm trying spaced coils for the first time. Still have lots of flavor so it will be interesting to see how they stand up to the gunk.

This is half of it. I'm going to play for awhile :)

I would suspect your juices need steeping. Once Big Spirit steeps it is an absolute treat for someone looking for a cigarette simulation. The taste is a dead ringer for a cigarette. My bottle is 12 months old and it tastes as good, if not better than when it was fresh. My experience with NET.com liquids has been that a steep of about 6 weeks is optimal.

I am finding that NET.com liquids just continue to get better and better over time, right up to a year old. I am revisiting NET.com juices I purchased in July 2013 and they are stellar right now, like a good fine wine.

Legend from HHV definitely needs steeping based on your description of the flavour. HHV liquids also are optimal after about a 2-3 week steep. Put it in a cool dark place and shake occasionally.

I will be honest - I didn't like the Analog from GEJ. I tried it when it was less than a week old and didn't like it at all. It was sweet and leafy but not in a good way. It didn't taste natural to me at all. It didn't even taste like a NET to me. However, my bottle is now aged 2 months and I think it is time I tried it again. Perhaps it has transformed. GEJ has many great NETS that hold their own in a very competitive market but Analog is my least favourite of them right alongside Godfather.

I hope you got a bottle of Patriot from GEJ. It is the single most popular NET on the market and has been for a long time. There is nothing quite like it.

Want2Vape needs no introduction and I am not surprised you like the Paris :)
