I quit vaping for a few months but I missed it so much I decided to start back. I missed a good NET vape most of all so I placed an order with Clay for some of my favorites, Sun Cured Turkish, Balkan & Choctaw Perique. Also got small bottles of English Blend and 3 Crown to try.

There were so many more I wanted to try but my cart would have totaled over $150.00 if I had got everything I wanted this time.

I'll have to place an order with GEJ for some Patriot when I get paid next. Good to see y'all again.

This will be my first order from this company ; - I do enjoy my Black Notes and HHV N.E.Ts so I am looking forward to them.

I made a very expensive mistake when I first started vaping, by spending over $100 on various Virgin Vapor's tobaccos and I couldn't get through a single tank of any of them.

I bought the following NET.com offerings;

Balkan 60ml
Black Cavendish 30ml
Pure Virginia 60ml
tRY4.1 60ml
Black Pekoe Tea 30ml

fan-freakin-tastic I tell ya.

Yep! Well, I've come to the realization, after a year or so of vaping NET juices..... I'm pretty much done with buying synthetic tobaccos. ;) I'm putting my money towards buying real tobacco and making NET from here on out; we all know, they'll never stop selling tobacco.

When you can obtain 100ml (or more) of tasty concentrate from a combined, $2 to $12 of real tobacco and solvent of your choice.....it's kind of a no brainer. The flavor choices are there, whether or not you want to go aromatic or non-aromatic, pipe, cigar or cigarette.....and it just tastes so much better and realistic (because it is real) than synthetic tobacco concentrates.

I was a bit disappointed with the RY4. It wasn't bad at all but it was mostly a Hershey's chocolate syrup taste for me. Vaped it over an 8 month period and it never did it for me. I love Balkan. Haven't tried Pure Virginia but Red Virginia is very tasty and would have been a reorder for me if I had more money to spend on my last order. If you like a smoky tasting vape, you should like Balkan. It's a very satisfying vape for me, a reformed chain smoker. Do you like Perique? You might want to try Choctaw Perique if you place another order.

I still do the DIY synthetic tobacco thing as they are so much easier when driving and don't have to worry about gunk factor. However, when at home, I basically drip NET's. If the hammer comes down to hard, I have read up on extracting enough where I am confident I could do it. At the present time, I have more than enough already made and extracts to last over a year, if not longer, so not too worried.

I thought the RY4 sounded like it was less sickly-sweet than most out there, bummer. Hopefully it is okay for me, sometimes I like a bit of dessert but don't like something too sweet.

I used to love love love my boutique balkan blends, Syrian Latakia blends, pure Virginias and Virginia Periques when I smoked a pipe. I would like to try others like the Choctaw Perique when finances permit.

Personally I love Clay's tRY4.1 .... I didn't find a chocolately flavor in it, but I do know some richer tobacco's like Burley's can come off with a similar taste... coffee's are also know for it at times even when there is no chocolate present.

While unrelated here... Other natural flavors like cherry and vanilla can also show up when none is added to certain tobacco's. Since this is going to be personal to each of us... we'll taste different things sometimes than others will.

That sounds positive :thumb:

Regarding ageing (steeping) of NET.com's offerings... I found that HHV NETS really benefitted from 6 weeks of age. They were all pretty uninspiring to me out of the box but was blown away when I revisited them 4 - 6 weeks later.

Virgin Vapors were truly horrible to me out of the box and then at 4 months and longer. Over $100 worth went down the drain :nah: I understand that taste is subjective and some love them, but there is something in all of the popular ones that tasted off and 8 different bottles are unlikely to be all off .

So what is the general recommendation as far as timing goes for the varieties I ordered above ? :)

Don't let me steer you wrong. I don't know half what these other folks know about NETs. I just like to get on here and blab sometimes. You have some good juice coming and I'm sure you will like them.

I got the extra extract on everything in my last order and it was all good OOTB. Black Cav with the extra shot was actually much better for me fresh. It tasted off months later.

FWIW, I did vape all 30ml of the RY4.

Personally I find most of Clay's taste pretty good right when I receive them... others have said they felt they needed some steep time. So again, personal preference will come into play way too much ... With the HHV nets, they varied for me with some being ok at first and then the reorder needing steeped and seemed a bit weak as you mentioned...

So try them right away or as you have time... and then revisit them occasionally to see what your own preferences are.

If you know what you like... then you know as much as you need to. Taste is the only important thing here...

The other details, like certain natural flavors can seem to be in other flavors when none is actually present.. or Burley's tend to be a dark to medium dark flavor... yada yada ... etc ... is something you just pick up with experience. That experience has no benefit other than to discern what a flavor is or comes from... it doesn't make one person taste right or wrong.

To add on, I get a lemon/citrus flavor from some Virginia blends. One is Lemon Virginia which has no lemon, just a pale Virginia. The name kind of tells me I should expect this. However, another I get it from is Yellow Jacket which is made with golden Virginia's and black Cavendish. I get a subtle lemon note in this one as well. Guessing it is from the lighter Virginia's or the way they are cured. Either way, that lemon/citrus note is very noticeable to me with both. BTW, these are from NET.com.

The forum search is great for specific questions such as that...

Yeah, I'm a big fan of the search bar and use it quite extensively. However, there were only 4 posts concerning Bengal Slices and those were just informative in the sense that folks used to smoke it or of what it is comprised. It is entirely possible I might have missed the title of this tobacco in a post somewhere on ECF; when I scan threads, sometimes I miss things.

I figured it might be worth throwing the question back out there to see if anyone has tried an extraction of this tobacco as of late.

P&C has Bengal Slices listed as being a new offering; just seeing if perhaps someone has taken the plunge to give it a go. If not, then I just might have to blaze the trail on the Bengal. :)
