What I find rather interesting is the initial "dis" (disrespect, BillH) of a given liquid, and then, 6 weeks later, the "revisit" proves that the reviewer must have been on hallucinogens at the time of the first review, and it's now the best thing in the universe. Kind of entertaining. There are liquids that I posted positive reviews of early on that I can't even stand the smell of anymore, let alone the taste when vaped.

Wait, you got sick of dissing BB Mann? That starts to get old? I find that deeply distressing. For the grace of God go I.

Man, I actually got some Boba's now! I can see myself eventually having a playlist that is as diverse as possible (I am getting there). However, the funny thing is that I am actually turned off by some NETs more than some synthetics. IMO some NETs are just home-brews that are the equivalent to mix-n-shake regular liquid vendors like ECblend or the **** **** (LOL). I don't want or need crock-pot juice or simple DIY juice. My criteria for buying pre-made juices is pretty much the level of difficulty, and taste of course, that went into making it, or that would have to go into making it for a DIYer or home brewer (I will likely do my own DIY with Mom and Pops concentrates, or get someone else to do them for me that already has the set-up). Scarf-Ace's home-brews are where I would turn if I wanted home-brew NETs.

Yeah... I'm currently dis'ing anything with Lataka in it... Of the 4 ( 2 from W2V and 2 from MOV ) I got, they are mellowing and I taste something I like but not yet enough to come fully around on them yet... Those weren't a quality issue but a flavor preference which I've tried to impart in my comments on them.

Because of Lataka... I'm a bit leary with the possibility me disliking other aromatics and I know that isn't right, at least until I've tried them.

I've been riding the synthetic train last night and today. Bobas, Gold, 2 different Janty RY4s, and later "Turkish" and "Dulce". Sad thing for me is my arti-bacco variety is low right now, still waiting on the sampler of "pipe sauce" to become available again. I'll take a well-made synthetic over a poorly made NET any day.

How does one do that?

Personally, I believe in sampling, I rarely listen to other people's opinions.

I'm not sure how to explain it, because the answer seems so obvious to me. Most people have a general idea of what they like or don't like. They can use critic's opinions to help them find products -- of any kind -- that match their tastes. This goes for e-liquids, videogames, movies, comic books, consumer electronics, etc. -- all things I've reviewed. While sampling and seeing for yourself is best, it's impossible to try everything and can be expensive. That's the whole point of reading a critic's review. It would be incredibly wasteful and time consuming to try hundreds of juices, play hundreds of games, use dozens of mobile phones, or watch hundreds of movies in order to find what's best for you. Finding a critic that has similar tastes and views to your own can be helpful.

For me, the sauces are damn near honorary NETs. There was one more of the no-longer-made juices from Vapor-Age, Norweigian Shag, that I didn't send you. That juice, man, it just works on so many levels! It really reminds me of the sauces. See, while those may be synthetics, they just don't taste like anything else out there. I have no idea what kind of mother concentrates went into those.

I admit finding a critic with similar tastes can be useful RPad...from the standpoint that I know I like 80% the same stuff that GT likes. If he says he likes something, there is a good chance I know I will. Same as if he dislikes something. I learned that a long time ago with him. He probably cues off me too. MM perhaps less than 80% but we also know what works and doesn't work for each other and factor it in accordingly. There are a few others who I index from but for the most part, I will sample to make my own decisions. I'm not trying to be uncontroversial, but I think both you and GT are right. Just depends on who is doing the reviewing.

I don't buy into the idea that it's wrong or unhelpful to be critical of a juice just because some out there may like it. Someone can choose that they only want to comment on juices they like, but I also enjoy reading why people don't like certain juices.

I'm just grateful I didn't get slammed when I posted my final take on Ahlusion. I know I'm in the minority in not caring for A+ and there are some rabid A+ fans out there. But I'm still alive. :)

And I will recommend A+ to noobs. Not because I like it...because I don't. But let's be honest...many do so it is worth recommending. Make sense?

I would suggest sampling Halo for the simple fact that you WILL flip your lid at the taste. You, I can pretty much guarantee, have never tasted anything like a fresh bottle of Prime 15! :sneaky:

Ever try BlueMist? By all accounts, it's the same as Halo. I sampled a bunch of the former (and couldn't wait to get it over with), but never Halo. I'm scared!!!

I wish I were like some folks who seem to like everything they vape.

That is a bit where I am with Lataka's ATM... I've read many times that it is an acquired taste that not many acquire... which seems to make it even more of a challenge ... In fact, there are several that have been mentioned that I just have to try because someone ( or several someones ) mentioned how much "in your face" they are...

I think Fire-Cured is the best intro for Latakia.

p.s. Thanks for today's topic, rdsok! :)
