whether the mod is set on AFAIK or RMS
Just a minor correction... PWM is either averaged ( AVG ) or RMS... AFAIK is shorthand for "as far as I know"... sorry, my "type a"-ness is showing
whether the mod is set on AFAIK or RMS
I'm definately not a electronic whiz or claim to be but do understand what u are saying about not comparing apples to apples as far as volts vs. watts and if I'm using a 5ohm atty I'm at 7.4v so my wattage is up thereHigher voltage is not really the measure we are speaking about. I sometimes use 6 volts but that is on 4-5 ohm atty's so the wattage is still around the 7-8 watt range, which is moderate. I crank HH357s at about 12 watts (e.g. a 3.0 ohm atty at 6 volts) but I always though the 12 watts was okay with HH357's because the juice is not sitting in a well stewing in the hot atomizer, it's being funneled up from a small well which then hits the hot atomizer and therefore is only exposed to a high wattage coil for less time. That was my amateur theory on why I could get HH357s at 12 volts.
Now I know that BWB is 70/30 thanks to Bill (I could have sworn it used to be all VG but maybe my memory fails me) but I always found NET's from BWB, Vaperite and AVE don't seem to like anything above 9 volts whereas some of the synthetics I used to vape with 80/20 PG could be pushed up to 10-11 volts.
Perhaps what some of the other posters have said is correct - it depends on the setup, whether the mod is set on AFAIK or RMS, in the case of RBAs, the kanthal diameter and maybe even the vaping technique. I can imagine a slow long draw requiring the atomizers to burn longer and heat up more, would result burning a juice than would be a shorter sharper type of draw. I tend to take longer slower draws (unless it's a 357) and I tend to take primer hits, followed by a deeper draw, which is partly a left over of the early days of vaping when you needed to give the atty a prime hit to warm it up before taking a longer main draw. It's also because I like puffing e-cigs like cigars, something I never did when I was a smoker.
I think you will be happy. Let us know what you think. If you like it, I know exactly where to send you next; if you don't like it, just move toward more hybrid/pipe tobaccos with medium sweetness (not cloying).
Ok I just got the apache.
I don't think I like it, tastes like leather and medicine, is the best way I can describe it.
I think I will have to go more towards the hybrid/pipe. Any recommendations on that route?
If that is a fresh bottle... let it set a while and steep, it will change. I'm not one to like Apache myself, but the difference from when I first got it and later ( about a month ) was pretty significant and it becomes a different juice.
Oh... and do this by opening the bottle for a day or so... then close it, putting it in a cool dry place, and repeat after a few days. Shake it in between.
The more I hit it, the more of a pipe tobacco sweetness comes through and the sassy root beery tastes falls back.
It's nice.
Can't wait until Monday, when I can change the voltage with my iTaste MVP and see how it does.
Today I'm moving onto the clearomizer portion of my W2V tests. In a Kanger T3, Louisville's sweetness is more pronounced then using a dripping atomizer. I expected a bit more sweetness, since those flavors have generally been highlighted by the T3, but this was much more than what I was expecting. Very interesting.
Your iTaste gets weekends off???![]()

Sorry, couldn't resist. Glad you're a good sport. No, silly. I don't have it yet. Ordered it from Ivape yesterday before noon, shipped an hour later, and it'll be at my door sometime Monday. Super quick, and the best price around with the fightback1 coupon code provided on the order page.
picked up a couple of Pro Tanks at the same time.
okay, my parts came in today.
Sampling some GeJ Organic #1 after sitting out overnight.
Not too much vapor, great throat hit @ 32mg... tastes like root beer... it's there... and tobacco.
Think I need to let it steep some more.
well, by the end of my first 1ml, Organic #1 definately was more cigar-like than root beer or pipe. It just took a bit to get there. Basically I took a break and let it linger around the tastebuds, came back to it and more of a light cigar.
Right now, I'm vaping 1ml of Wrangler Light. 32 mg (they all are -- damn you, Mann!) and it's nice. I don't get any cocoa, more of a green leafy/grassy taste. There's a slight hint of, maybe, distantly, a cocoa as an aftertaste.
These being my first NET's, I must say that the vape is very close to actually smoking. Perhaps it's the 1ml clearomizer that's a bit hotter on my Triton battery, but the quality of the vapor, the consistency and throat hit, very close to analog.
Neither of these are ADV's, but Wrangler Light could take a half day.
You should try myvapejuice.com. Elain(?) does fantastic work. Start with My Hero or Savage.
