Case in point, I just cracked open a Kanger T3 today and the juice was unremarkable in flavour and needed regular tilting.

Could you be meaning to say a Kanger T2? .... The T2 is a top coil and would require tilting as any top coil would, but the T3 is a bottom coil so shouldn't need to be tilted. I know I'm not a big fan of the T2, but the T3 I have is very simlar to the Evods except with more capacity.

Ray, your are a celebrity! Why wouldn't you get a discount? Congrats on a cool meet up!

I met Roots820 last night (he has posted here). Another great guy and first serious vaper I've met where I live. Maybe we'll have a NT thread alumni vapers meet someday!

Great to meet you John! And thanks for the samples to help me figure out different vendors and flavors. I think the biggest help is being able to try some fully steeped stuff to see the full potential. As of yet I haven't owned any NET for more than four weeks (through my newbiness or I just flat out vaped it all up before it could steep. I guess that's my challenge until I can get more juices in the mix.

I've tried two so far: Shadowfax and Southern Gentleman.

Shadowfax (yes, it's the original name and been steeping for 5 months, thanks John!) is very different from the fresh sample I tried a few weeks ago. I like it. Enough to buy some to forget in the steep drawer for a while. It had more definition and was way darker than the stuff I had. It had hints of chocolate and didn't seem as sweet as what I remember, although it was definitely still pretty sweet. Especially when compared to SG.

Southern Gentleman is pretty good too. There's a lot of smokiness and it's a bit muddy. Dry on the exhale. It reminds me of Wild Turkey in some ways, but with a lot more depth. WT is more dry. I'm guessing it reminds me WT because I have only had SG, WT, and Patriot as far as non-sweet NETs. Out of the three Patriot is the most different with some brighter leafy tones.

Up next on the new sample list: County Squire. Thanks John, you rock!

Who here besides Shatner has vaped Ahlusion Sahara Blend? Because I'm trying mine and I swear I taste tobacco absolute.

I have vaped it....I don't taste tobacco anything yet. More like store brand cream soda/red pop super concentrate. I figure it must need several months/years of steeping? Honestly tastes stronger than most super concentrated flavorings to me....and, yes, I have vaped a drop or two of super concentrated flavorings straight from the bottle before just to test them.

Not a chance, that's just residual DK-Tab on the coil.

I got 1.5 mL of Sahara (8.5 up in vapor). I vape TA juices a lot and can spot it in a juice because I like it.

Vendor: HaloCigs.com
Flavor: Turkish Tobacco
Impression: If you can recall smelling a marlboro cigarette before lighting it up... this is what that tastes like. My ADV for quite some time now. I'd be surprised if this flavor hasn't been mentioned in this thread yet. If you haven't tried it, this one is a definite must.

That's because it's not a Natural Tobacco.

Halo's Turkish is a delightful flavor -- and is my second favorite of Halo's tobacco flavors so far. In fact, I'm vaping this as I write this reply. It's nice, relaxing and smooth. But it's not naturally extracted tobacco.

Wild Turkey... not too wild about it. Dry, yes. Grassy even. More subtle than Wrangler Light, but both are similar. Nothing exotic at this point. Definitely one to let steep.

jefsview, back when I was fine with the 50/50 blend, GeJ's Wild Turkey was the juice that MOST benefited from a long steep; unlike you, I liked it during little samples all along the steep, but it gets sweeter, less dry, and (for me) picks up a nice, subtle but unmistakable anise flavor to it, too. I don't know if that's necessarily a good thing in your eyes, but I really enjoyed it. I'd even go so far as to say that it becomes more "exotic" with time, though it never picks up the "oriental zing" that you mentioned.

Oh, Mr. Mann...still teasing the Tab. Even though I'm now totally smitten with NETs, I'll be eternally grateful to the b&m DK-Tab that got me off of cigarettes. That's in spite of the fact that we finally established that "its cornmeal flavor or cornmush [with a] perfumed after taste", arguably with Pine-Sol notes:laugh:!

It's a really slow steeper. Put it away for a month and come back to it. My XPress bottle looks like pink lemonade. It's 6 months old according to the expiry date, fwiw.

Paris gunked up my V3 phoenix really quick and lost all of it's flavour, being replaced with an even half baked flavour, nothing like Paris is supposed to taste like. I did a dry burn on it and got hotspots. One the other, I have been using Paris and other Want2vape juices in a large ego style atomizer (you know the ones that preceded ego-ts and which you could either use with a 80 drop cartridge or drip right on?) and it is not gunking up at all. That is one heavy duty durable atomizer. It's 3 years old and still going.

it is pretty gunky... gunk-a-rific some might say...

It was more gunk prone than the others for me as well. I ended up cleaning right after vaping it for a while and have been every hour or so to stop any kind of buildup.

Trying the Gej's on a BCC (a good one like Vapeonly or the Protank) is a good move. It took for a Vapeonly BCC to show me what Patriot is all about after I tried it on several set ups and didn't quite get the flavour, and tasted something not far from what you described being hay, or a slight burnt taste.

Start at 6 watts and work up slowly until the flavour hits you just right.

GEJ juices need about 4-6 weeks, but I think you know that already.

I understand that. I'm just not getting anything but hay. So far, by the end of a milliliter I began to really taste the flavors with GeJ's juices, but I still get hay. It's not bad, mind you. It invokes days spent on a farm, with a piece of hay dangling from ones mouth. I could smoke it all day, no problem. I was just expecting something with a little oriental zing.

I'll be vaping it again after a while, and I'll try it out on a BCC.

Only 2 left from my GeJ haul: Patriot and Vita Bella.

I am liking the NETs. I just haven't found a "blown my mind" one yet.

I tried Patriot in an EVOD but the flavor couldn't compare to the HH357. Would like to find a tank that gives flavor like a dripping atty. I only have about a ml left of the Patriot and I wish I got a bigger bottle. My Quic-nic order just arrived, any thoughts on how long they should steep? I got Kuba-Kuba, Proudest Monkey, Fired in Georgia and Grandpa's Night Cap.

Yep, Cisco makes good stuff but to me they're all the same. Glass tank or not your going to use ss or ceramic for a wick and I find the flavor just doesn't compare to an atty like the 357 or 306. I have several rebuildable tanks gathering dust. For all the trouble one goes through what with getting rid of hot spots, burning the wick or trying not to break a ceramic wick it's just not worth the trouble.

The amp tank is for use with an atomizer, feeds juice to the atty to keep it juiced up. Dripping has never been a hassle for me and I don't stick to one flavor so I have no need for one, but for someone who wants to tankify there atties and willing to spend the price it seems pretty sweet.

Hi Boomerdude,

If you read back to the last couple of days postings in this thread you will find some thoughts by me and a few others on good tanks that bring out the flavours of NETs. In summary, Evods, the Vapeonly BCC and Kangar Protanks. For me it was the Vapeonly BCC which bought out the flavour of my Patriot - GEJ above any of my RBA's.

Of course, there are variables at play here that have led me to my own results. I am a newbie to RBA's so my assemblies may not be top notch and I am not getting the best out of my juices.
