Hey Scarfy, and anybody interested in trying one of her favorite NETs, Candied Cavendish at ThePlumeRoom is the flavor of the week at $10.50 for 30ml. It's a lovely banana-bacco that started tasting like banana bread to me after a long steep.

Candied Cavendish is seriously good! I have a 120ml and half a 30ml. I need to revisit them. If you haven't tried them, do so. I wasn't a fan of Smooth & Mild nor Burley and Candy. They were forgettable. But CC is great!

How is there Cuban Cigar? NET? Really bold or more like A+ non aro?

Scarfy, we didn't use kettle bells, but plenty of exercises with the 30lb (2.2KG/lb) medicine ball. Had a great workout.

Figures. I have ~3ml of Dulce Cubanito left. It's just now clicking with me. Good thing I have 90ml on the way.

The only thing that sucks about Ahlusion is the freaking unbelievably glacier like speed at which the liquid develops. It's like watching dinosaurs die, Earth settle back down, mammals come back, humans, extinction of mammoth, rise of human.

It's freaking brutal and I wonder if something can be done about it. No, not an ultrasonic bath.

I enjoyed Cuban Cigar, though I tired of it the last couple ml. Has an artibacco cigar flavor very similar to Dulce Cubanito. I think it's a synthetic/NET hybrid. Actually, I don't see it listed on the site right now, might be out of stock. Ramaglia's Toscano Gold is another synthetic/NET cigar vape that's interesting, develops a pretty strong funk as it ages. I enjoyed both, but neither were reorders for me. Honey-Fig, M Type with Natural Tobacco, and Candied Cav were maybe reorders, with Smooth & Mild a definate reorder.

Today's very modest vapemail: Ekowool and ribbon Kanthal. Wired up one of my two Phoenixes and gave it a shot, baptized with Vita Bella.

It certainly tastes better than garden-variety silica but the vapor is on the weak side. I wonder how long it takes to break in?

Ekowool is awesome. For prep, I give it a thorough rinse before torching it. It shouldn't take long to break in. What width are you using, Khaleesi? Also, how are you finding twisting the kanthal ribbon so that it does into the posts?

Here's a photo of yesterday's setup on my Nimbus -- 3mm Ekowool and two 30-gauge coils.

I picked up some Ekowool today when I placed an order from SteamMonkey. 2mm inside diameter I think. I'll see how it compared to my favored German silica. I've also been digging ss mesh wicks on my Phoenix and Phoenix V3 lately. Still want to try braided ceramic wick, but that doesn't come cheap.

I broke out my QnJ Kuba Kuba @6mg last night after a 6 week steep, dripped it in my RDA Octopus on my K-100. The flavor was unexpectedly light, not a heavy Tobacco bite and possibly some earthiness/grass notes paired with a Green or White Tea type flavor on the inhale.

I was indulging myself with some Single-Malt Scotch and it paired well with Kuba Kuba, I'm not sure if some of the earth/grass notes I found was from the juice or drink but it was a relaxing evening.

My Habana Daydream arrived the last week of June and is in the first-stage steep box, too many bottles of juice ahead of it, I will give this an 8 week steep minimum, time to pare down my inventory.

MF...give that Habana Daydream a spin after a week. No need to wait 8 weeks on that one. It doesn't change in any measurable way.

I appreciate that but its not the change so much as I do have too many juices, I try to vape them in order of how they've arrived. I do have exceptions, once the Sahara has reached its deep Pink color, it will be ravaged hungrily if it's as good as everyone says.

I'm seriously going through my two steep boxes in an attempt to pare it down, a difficult task when I only order what I've liked in the past. Kind of like trying to pick your single favorite Movie, Food or Drink (for me that's coffee hands down)

I do about the same thing man. I have a currently vaping box, and a steeping box. I vape anything in the currently vaping box, but vape the older juices more often. The steep box acts as more of a holding box until there's room in my current box to vape them. I've learned to space out moving the ones in the steep box so I have new juice to try on a regular basis.

I like to have at least a couple dozen juices going in my rotation. A few dozen is fine but much more than that is just too much choices. That's how I end up with juices a few months old sitting in the holding box that were probably ready after a couple weeks, patiently waiting their turn. Not having enough juices that I want to order has never been a problem, limiting it is the challenge.

BTW, how'd you know?

Your steeping protocol gave you away. ;)

Appreciate your service. You appear to be close to the same age as me. When I graduated HS in 1977, my brother was in the Navy and told me not to enlist. The military was shrinking back then and recruiting efforts were not very aggressive. Viet Nam was over by then.

Opened up my 8 steeping Ahlusion juices for a quick breather and shake. Been doing these almost once a week, more often than I normally remember to, probably because they smell so good.

Looking at them, they range from lightly pink, amber, having red tones, bright yellow or orange; all a result of the natural ingredients used since Ahlusion uses no artificial colors. I've said it before, I really like the color spectrum of ejuice, and how they can start out light and develop a deeper and richer color with age. I know there's a market for adding food coloring to juice, but to me it's pointless and covers the natural beauty. I'm looking forward to receiving GeJ's Vita Bella, as it's one of my favorite colored juices after it's steeped for a while.

I also really dig a juice that is crystal clear and stays that way with age, like the Blue Fairy that's months old from Ahlusion. Really shows the quality of the nic base a vendor uses when a clear juice doesn't turn yellow.

I received my first order from Ahlusion this week. I ordered Blue Grass Burley, Vurley and Smooth Criminal.

I tried the Vurley out of the box and it's a little rough. Not much vanilla, lots of tobacco. I'm going to let it steep a while.

Next, I tried smooth criminal. It's pretty darned awesome. It tastes like graham cracker with a cinnamon / clove hint.

I vaped it most of the morning. My room smelled like baked brownies :)

Gonna wait to try Blue Grass Burley for a while.

Sent from my mobile. Ignore typos please.

Nice order. The aromatics don't change much with age, so the vanilla won't get stronger. You may however become accustomed to it more. For me and a couple others, Vurley really has a unified vanilla and tobacco flavor, resulting in one flavor (though with multiple tones) instead of seperate vanilla and tobacco. BGB won't change much at all with age either.

The non-aromatic line does change a lot with age though. That's awesome you dig it fresh, many don't. I liked it fresh too, but vaped it very little before the big changes. I'll vape it a lot more fresh next time. At six weeks or so, the sweet/dessert aspects fade and the tobacco takes the lead, it'll be a whole different juice, and to me just amazing.

Bronze, I was born in March 1959 in Brooklyn NY, and moved to the Long Island suburbs in July of 1969. My dad was a depression-era Hard-*ss & NYC Sanitation Foreman who'd do anything for his family, instead of having him pay for College or Vocational Schooling, I signed up. It was the best experience, a challenging adventure and a pleasure to serve, wished I would have retired.

On Topic, I vaped some Kuba Kuba using a Kanger T2 @8.4 watts (on my newly arrived DNA20 Bogger Box), no earthiness but still some type of muted Tea/ Grass note. I"ll attribute the muted flavor to the T2, switching to the RDA Octopus @8.4 watts & 8 drops of Kuba Kuba.

A few too many drops, some liquid oozing from my RDA air-hole, the tobacco notes are showing up right behind the higher/lighter Tea, not as muted as the T2. I kicked up the wattage to 9.6, the tobacco has decided to step out front, the Tea type notes are still present and complimentary to the tobacco. Tobacco is dominant @10.6 watts, the Tea/higher notes are shadowy & lurking in the background, still very good flavor... TOBACCO Flavor.

Hey, NETizens:

How would you guys characterize QnJ's equipment-friendliness (especially that of the newest four, "name this juice" juices)?

I don't expect anything to be as coil-friendly as Sahara Blend (Shatner's right, it's almost as if that stuff cleans coils rather than gunking them up), but I really really hope that QnJ is nothing like w2v! :D

Hi Elanor. QnJs new juices are pretty clean and coil friendly. The older ones are a bit gunkier IMO, but not W2V gunky.
