Shatner,
This requires a little bit of cooking but not a lot...
Onion fried hamburger with either fries or potato chips. You can bake most of the frozen fries to avoid the mess with oil...
Cut two very thin slices of white or yellow onion... three if you really like a lot of it
salt and pepper one side of the patty... if you have liquid smoke put a bit of that on it... put this side down on a pan. salt and pepper the other side ( add more liquid smoke if available ) ... place onion slices on top of patty.
Now if you have a paper plate that will fit over the pan... cover the pan ( limits the splatter ). Cook for 4-6 minutes ( depending on patty size ). Using a spatula ... press the onions into the patty sqeezing out the extra juices ( just the opposite if doing a regular hamburger where you want all of the juices )... flip it over and finish cooking for another 4-6 minutes.
I usually use just ketchup and mustard and nothing else. I also prefer smaller ( 1/8 lbs ) patties for these and make a couple ( or more )... it makes the patty to onion ratio better that way ( and they cook faster )
That sounds good. But I eat oatmeal, berries, a lot of almonds or a spoon of peanutbutter, a ground turkey and field greens lettuce wrap, chicken salad with field greens, salmon and asparagus, lots of broccoli and ground turkey. Between 4 and 6 small meals/day with a 1/4 cup of almonds or pistachios for a snack if I'm hungry.
When I say cheat meal, I mean go to a gastropub, have a huge filet, mashed potatos, mac and cheese if available and possibly a piece of cake afterward. Maybe a beer if the selection is good. If I have a beer I'll take the cake home for later that night.
I don't always break my diet.
