What is it about this thread and the monthly dust ups? Are our favorite NET vendors slipping some testosterone in our juice?

I'm probably older than the large majority of the folks on this thread. Take it from me...lighten up on the egos fellas. Take it to the next level. It's a lot happier there. :)

Very true.

One thing I don't understand is it seems there are a lot of people on ECF that view the NET fans that contribute to this thread to be snobs or like this is some kind of clique. When I first started posting in this thread I was a total noob, not just to NETs, but to vaping in general. I was greeted with open arms. Everyone was quick to offer help and advice. I never sensed a condescending tone from anyone. To me the vibe in this thread is the more the merrier. I think some people just come in here automatically defensive for whatever reason.

I don't post as often as others here, but I do read all the posts by checking in 2-3x a day. I have to tell you Jerms, your taking a big risk as the are no "vacations" in La cosa NETstra. First the "Mann" will send out a couple of soldiers armed with "R-pads" to plant a "Big Juicy" one on you. If that doesn't work, you'll get a visit from the dreaded "Scarf Ace" and while I've only heard rumors about what she does with those scarfs I do know she wrings them out into sample bottles and sends them out as warnings to others thinking about taking a vacation. If all that fails you'll windup getting "Bronzed" and put in the Hall of NETstra Vacationers. So, back to work Jerms or we may change your moniker to "Sniffles" and make you vape crab juice.

Agree wholeheartedly Bronze. I often have to remind myself to treat obnoxious posters much as I would in real life. As soon as they open their mouth just turn and leave (cause you can't slap them through your keyboard anyway).

Thanks for the good info Shweater. It's good to see the thread saturated with cigar lovers who have experienced good cigars before we all did the right thing and quit cigars all together. (Well we have haven't we?).

Based on what you've told me, I think I will start with a Padron No.45.

The Cohiba Behike 52's are a few years old now aren't they? I can see that there are subsequent releases called 54 and 56.

i don't know how it would effect extraction process, but those Drew estate cigars you mentioned are infused with flavors. The tobaccos are very light to begin with. If you want to extract just pure tobacco from a drew estate product you should look into the liga privada line, or the undercrown line.

again, knowing nothing about how this will effect extraction, i can tell you the behike line from cohiba need a good amount rest before they become what they truly should be. the 52 starts to smoke beautifully at 3 years of rest, and we're only beginning to find out how they good they will become with long term rest. Consider that most habanos (excluding edicion limitadas) are rolled fairly fresh, which means as the tobacco ferments in its rolled state, it will be releasing ammonia...just saying.

the padron family reserve line is rolled with all aged tobacco so that might be a great place to start with extraction (an expensive place to start though). It's a super heavy, rich, nicaraguan tobacco...I've never met anyone in any cigar community that doesn't think its a fantastic smoke...i'd be willing to bet the extraction will come out fairly sweet.

Jerms,

I have not had a chance to read what the hell happened in this thread, but I did catch the tail end in my notification in email and saw your comment regarding a brief or not-so-brief holiday from the thread and wanted to contribute my 2 cents.

It's no one's place to tell you whether you should take a break or not but I would like to say I thoroughly enjoy your wealth of information on liquids and on micro-coils (in which you have almost single handedly run an entire thread on the subject and helped a lot of people perfect the art of building them).

I have enjoyed sharing thoughts and ideas about many juices and especially Want2Vape juices. I may not have ordered Coffee Infused Cigar or CI Cigar if it weren't for you making me aware of them.

If you must leave for a while, I sure hope its for a very short time. You are one of the most regular and respected posters on this thread.

Thanks Dusty.

Anyways.. I will be taking a short ecf break, but I'll be back. Not mad at anyone or anything; but a break feels like a good idea. I understand that people may not like me or my posting style for their own reasons, and that's fine. I'm good, you're good, we're all good; and we're all vapers, so we rule by default.

I am in total agreement with this post. I too was well received when I posted in this group. However, one thing that I have learned that holds me in good stead it to take the time to observe an environment prior to jumping in. It takes time to learn how people speak (post) and how to interface with them. It takes a little time to learn how not to "open mouth, insert foot".

Voltron, you are confusing Jerms with Rdsok and I think you owe Jerm's a serious apology.

Admittedly I have not read the rest of thread and this may have been clarified later in the day.

This is my view. I don't mind if someone disagrees or not with me or anyone else in this thread. This thread is spawned from the fact that we are all enthusiasts about naturally extracted liquids and it is part and parcel of the thread to share tastes, preferences, perceived similarities and differences in liquids. I assume, in the first instance, that when someone shares their opinion it is coming from a place of benevolence and goodwill and a desire to share opinions with fellow enthusiasts.

It's when the intention of sharing an opinion comes from a questionable place of taking the higher ground of conceit in not respecting the opinion of a fellow poster, that it is reasonable to prefer that a user does not share their difference of opinion. I do believe this is probably what Rdsok meant in the first place as he may have read into the tone of your response and reacted to it. I am not saying that was what I read in your opinion, but given Rdsok's strong reaction, he may have read into it that way.

As for Jerms, he did not say anything at all in challenge to your right to an opinion. I would be annoyed and disillusioned too if I were Jerms.

Fascism - Extreme right-wing, authoritarian, or intolerant views or practice.

You were the one being intolerant of other peoples view... not I.

I was also not saying to censor your view... just allow other's views to be what they are without implying they are wrong simply because they don't agree with your own.

You are not really taking Voltron's opinion to represent the rest of our opinions of your post? I certainly hope not because I really enjoy reading your posts.

I really wish swearing was not censored on this thread because I really NEED TO SWEAR RIGHT NOW.

Well, it's good to know how people really feel I guess. So yes, I'll be moving along. Take care all, I had fun.

Voltron, I agree with you entirely that it may have just sparked some healthy debate and I don't mind that, but you completely confused your people up. You confused Jerms and Rdsok and that mix up seems trivial and irrelevant now after what you said about Jerms further down the line.

I seriously object. I happen to really enjoy discussing about NETs, micro-coils and other things with Jerms. He has been a long standing member who regularly contributes material to the thread that many people enjoy. The e-cig community mostly is one built from respect, a sense of community and enthusiasm from a passion we all have for e-cigs and NETs. There really is no need to be insulting here. There are plenty of other avenues for that sort of behaviour. This is not one of them.

Anthony, I knew you weren't gonna be offended by my comments. If anything, I would have liked them to spark a healthy debate. Anything wrong with that? I'm sorry if the" Frat boys" were ticked by my honest opinion.
