Chief, can you clarify for me? (Excuse me, I'm a bit dumb about such things). You simmer organic tobacco in VG and PG, in a crock pot, and then strain it? Surely I am missing something here.

Sure, actually I use the crock pot as a heat source filled with some water. I have a glass jar with organic material steeping in the VG or PG sitting in the water filled crockpot. I have done this to get the flavor of my favorite tea bags, blue lotus, and hopefully get some pointers on tobacco leaves here :)

I am so doing that tonight. I will have to buy some tobacco through. Would Drum rolling tobacco make a good eliquid I wonder?

Doubtful! There is much more to this than simple maceration, but if you are interested, I'd get a great NET and always check your results against that.

Few details I left out. Crock pot is set to lowest setting, gets the surrounding water to 169-180 degrees F. I periodically remove the jar and give it a shake. I also turn the crock pot off and let it coast for a bit when I feel it's too hot. (These are early trials so I don't know what is too hot)

LOL Bronze.
Continuing on this though...without some sort of lab equipment I would have no way of knowing the Nic level of the resulting juice. Other than it would be stronger, the longer it cooks?
This is going to be fun, even if it turns out to be a total flop;)

My extract would turn out horrible but I'd never know because my wife would have killed me for trashing her kitchen before I'd find out.

There's a supplier on the forum goes by mjradik that (used to at least) sell test kits for nic in e-juice.
