Nope, haven't tried ribbon wire yet. One of those things I'm not seeking out, but if a place has it when making another purchase I'd pick it up to try.

I suppose I'm lucky enough to not know what you're talking about. I have ribbon Kanthal in my Eko-Phoenix and my Aga-T and I'm digging them both. Much lower incidence of hot spots. Never had to twist to fit the wire through the posts. But it's a lot pricier than the usual, and I only bought 1 metre each of the .3mm and .5mm. We'll see how well it lasts.

Speaking of the Phoenix, it's currently doing a splendid job with some well-steeped Vapists' Triumph. This has finally matured into the NET of dreams... the depth and growl of Ahlusion combined with the brilliant high tang of a GEJ or an El Toro. Has a super-faint unobtrusive sweetness that lingers slightly. Because of all these facets it's becoming a wonderful all-day vape.

So far Victory and Triumph are winners. I will have to spend some quality time with Conquest and Conquest Cherry before pronouncing judgment, because at the last tasting they were still a bit underpowered.

I should have clarified that it's a dual-coil setup. Getting one piece of ribbon through a single post is relatively easy, but I had a devil of a time getting two pieces of ribbon through the center post.

OH.

That makes lots more sense:)

I shudder to even think about dual coils. A single is almost beyond my capabilities.

Vendor: Gr8Vapes.
Liquid: Cohiba
Thoughts: I've got a local brick and mortar shop here (Central TX) that has only been open for a few months (and has recently opened a new store in San Marcos TX) called "Gr8Vapes" that has a tobacco flavored juice called "Cohiba" that smells like pipe tobacco and has a good tobacco flavor (keeping in mind that I'm a noob vaper and haven't had a lot of different juices). It is my main juice, but I also get them to mix it with other flavors, right now it's a 70/30 blend of Cohiba and another tobacco flavor called Honey Krush which has a honey scent to it but IMO it has a slight anise flavor but the two mixed together is heavenly.
The down side about Gr8Vapes is, because they are so new their online shop is still under construction and they don't ship yet so this is a flavor you can only get directly from their brick and mortar shop.

I did a couple impromptu reviews...more like reactions...to the first couple N-E-T juices I busted into over at Clay's supplier thread. They were great right out of the mail. So far have busted out the Black Cavendish and Coventry. Both are EXCEPTIONAL. We have a new heavyweight in the rarified air of W2V, Ahlusion, and GEJ. Instant superstars. The Coventry chases Louisville as my main ADV and the Black Cav is a juice in a world by itself, my new favorite juice and for my money the most authentic pipe "smoke" I think I have ever had. N-E-T is FOR REAL.

Off to load up the 3 Crowns...

Just ordered my first NET, based on the reviews in this thread. As a pipe smoker with a cooler full of Dunhill's EMP and 967 in one pound bags, and London and Nightcap in five packs of tins, I went with 30ml of MOV's Apache in 18mg. If that's not enough nicotine (I usually use 24mg), I'll just have to vape more of it. Hope I'll like it.

oh-oh.

I was refilling my Triton Tanks this morning and created a monster.

One tank had HHV Huntsman, the other had Halo's Voodoo in it. The are similar in color since one of the tanks is light blue. I refilled the Huntsman tank with Voodoo! Argh.

But... it's not bad. The maple mixes smoothly with the fruit tones of Voodoo and right now it's a mild raisin-tobacco vape :)

Weird 8-o:-x:shock::|

I agree whole heartedly with what Big Juicy said. I have tried Coventry,, Chris' Blend, Dover Court and The Boss. They are all exceptional. Dover Court is not my cup of tea, but it has a wonderful flavor. I find that the cold process is more to my liking than the heat process, but it is wonderful to have choices.

It looks like Golden Virginia is a blend of Virginia, Burley, and Oriental tobaccos. That's what Apache from MountainOakVapors is, minus the Burley, and Devil Dog from Ahlusion is, has the Burley plus some Perique.

They are both strong, aggressive vapes, and both very authentic juices. Devil Dog is a bit stronger, with more of a Latakia kick. Apache lacks the Burley tobacco of what was in your previous blend, but is a little more smooth and approachable. They are both amazing vapes.

Thanks for your input Jerms. Much appreciated :)

I was vaping Apache last night on my epipe at the local vape meet. Had a friend of mine try it, and his reaction was "Whoa! That's very much like actual tobacco. Maybe a bit too much like real tobacco.."

Mind you, my Apache was only 9mg. I think you should be more than fine with 18. ;)

It appears that many of the new poster's here are just not getting it or even reading what this thread is about... This thread is about NET's... ie naturally extracted tobacco e-liquids... not just lab created fake tobacco flavored ones. It's also not about WTA which is a method to extract all of the alkaloids instead of just the nicotine which is only about 95% of the total alkaloids found in tobaccos... WTA isn't about flavoring per se at all...

I'm not apposed to having a bit of off topic chatter about these other e-liquids especially when possibly comparing them to a NET or making a hybrid that contains both a NET and other flavorings... I just think it would more polite if the new posters would at least take the time to see what the subject of the thread is about before posting their unrelated posts....

rant over ( PS... comments weren't directed at complete newbies who don't know anything about the differences of anything yet must less the e-liquids themselves, but the more experienced vaper's should try to at least explain the differences instead of just ignoring the posts completely. )

So sayeth the self-proclaimed "Ambassador of Vape" and so it shall be.

Makes me glad I got into this N-E-T Coventry. I have been chain vaping Ahlusion W&A Sassy for 3 days straight...but this Coventry is most outstanding. I have 5 full tanks of different NET's on my desk right now and I haven't touched anything else all morning. This stuff is GLORIOUS.

I leave it alone when someone new comes in and posts once about an artibacco. They either quickly realize what this threads about, or more often don't post anymore, which has me think they are either not interested in joining the discussion or never checked back on the thread. I'm sure it would be addressed if it became a problem with a poster, I just don't see one post as a problem. Others of course can handle it different if they so choose.

One of Mr. Mann's first posts was a review of Halo's Captian Jack. It's all good. I actually enjoy a little chatter about synthetics, even if it's stretching the main topic of the thread. Good tobacco is. Good tobacco.
