Black Cavendish is one of their more popular flavors. Also consider Coventry and Balkan.

Exactly what I would say. Go 30 ml of big spirit and a sampler of blac cav, Coventry, and Balkan. If you are a cigar enthusiast 3 crowns is a must. Al recommend the mango vanilla (add extra extract) if it interests yiu as it is a limited run

Glass bottles come with droppers, plastic do not. Glass is worth the small cost IMHO

Thanks! Going large on Big Spirit and think I have the sample pack narrowed down to Balkan, Coventry and Black Cavendish. Just shot him an email, thanks for the tip! tobacco has for sure been one of those hard to find items for me. I have a few in rotation that fit the bill for right now and are keeping me off analogs, but still looking for the "one". My wife gets into the fruity flavors and those are always as advertised. Grape tastes like grape, watermelon tastes like watermelon ... tobacco on the other hand has been hit or miss.

If any of y'all are ever in Houston, you're more than welcome to come to my studio and check out the process. I teach, too. From beginner to advanced++. I have all the stuff to teach, too, so you don't need anything except a ready mind. And I guarantee you'll take something you made home.

My wife and I both have family in Houston, we visit frequently. I just might take you up on this offer. I think my wife would really enjoy it.

What area of Houston is your studio in?

Spent a long time flipping through this thread and have come to the conclusion that I am going to pull the trigger on NETCOM Big Spirit. Curious on what the difference is between the glass bottle and the plastic. Also ... never like just having one bottle of something to try. So what are suggestions for a second liquid to try from them? Thinking of Balkan or Gold.

Gold and Coventry would be my choice. I get glass bottles but transfer small amounts (10ml) to plastic as it's just more convenient.

I have heard good things about Coventry as well. Definitely going to order the sample pack and try a few. Plastic vs. Glass bottles ... what is the difference? Still getting my feet wet (just a little over a month off analogs), so sorry if that is a dumb question but first company I have seen with the option.

Not a dumb question at all! You also have the choice of hot and cold extraction. Don't be intimidated by the options; Clay lays out the differences in the outcome of each method on his site. I'd link you to it, but I can't find it at the moment.

Also, check out Clay's (NETCOM) thread: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...aturally-extracted-tobacco-grand-opening.html

What area of Houston is your studio in?

The studio is in Katy. It's not my studio, technically. I'm very good friends with the owner of the studio and the gallery/head shop that it's behind: Bomdigitty. We've known each other for over 14 years.

I'm not currently working there as it's just too hot. I've been working in the comfort of my home building and modifying firearms.

But let me know when you'll be in town and I'll try my hardest to meet up with you and show you the studio, retail space and that art-form. We have 3-8 other artists depending on the season so you'll get to see several different styles.

Of course, if you or your wife are interested I can teach you a 3 hour one on one (or 2/1 if your wife wants to try) beginner course for 50% off as an ECF special with material included (glass, gas, tools, torch, eye protection and kiln time). Just don't tell anyone at the studio. If yo like it we can always extend the class, too. I will say that the first hour is all safety and no hands on for students.

I guarantee that you'll take something home, too. Maybe not the same day as glass needs to anneal, which can take up to 8 hours. But if you're willing to return the next day to pick up your work it's yours.

Also, I'm 99.9% sure your wife and you would have a blast. I can't count the number of students I've had that have immediately bought a torch, some tools, glass and a few other bare necessities after class.

You've been warned: Glassblowing (flame working, actually) is freaking addictive!

Awesome. I think we will be heading down around late January/early February. I'll contact you then and hopefully we can meet up.

Big Spirit is really good, a little on the mild side. My wife used to smoke American Spirit roll your own tobacco and she says the taste is very similar. I haven't tried Gold. Balkan is one of my favorites from them. Pretty bold flavor, you may want to get it in a sample size if you haven't had any bold NETs so far.

Also, if you email them before you purchase and give them an idea of what kind of flavor you are after, Clay will give you recommendations.

I've known Clay for quite awhile now and he told me I probably wouldn't care for Bombay and Balkan. Bombay isn't bad but Balkan is excellent! :)

The lesson here is..TRY THEM ALL!

Those are the two he told me he thought I would like and he was right! I like Bombay a little more than Balkan, but both are great.

For sure! If I'm not set up at the studio I can still show it to you if you'd like. Or like I said previously, we can go shoot some guns.

That is some fine craftsmanship Shatner. You are a true artist.

Thanks so much, Boomer. It means more to me than anyone could imagine when others see beauty in my work no mater the subject matter.

Ok, I promise I'll stay on topic now. How 'bout that GeJ Analog? It's really, really good! So is NETCOM; no mater the 'flavor'. Good job, Clay and Monica!

I got a sample of BC, I tried it and it honestly didn't do much for me. It wasn't bad, it just may not be my thing. It's on the shelf... I'll revisit it next week.

No juice can be all things to all people. I think if you give it an honest try is all that matters. If it turns out it's not your thing then oh well. I find with Cavendish especially that you have to vape a few mls before the flavor is acquired. Cavendish can be quite complex and the perception of the flavor we register in our prefrontal cortex can change quite a bit upon first impressions. I think it is because many Cavendish vapes are unique and our minds are trying to find familiarity that doesn't exist. We can load up on Patriot or Habana Daydream and quickly categorize it with many other similar vapes so we know right away if we like it. Not so easy with many Cavendish flavors. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Hey folks,

I wish I could read through 1600 pages of posts, but maybe someone can answer my question. Way back on page 1 last March, luceblueboy wrote:

Vendor: Mom and Pop Vapor Shop
Liquid: American Blend
Thoughts: Described as "it tastes just like you would expect tobacco to taste, just a little woody, a little caramel, nothing too overpowering." I find this flavor to be very tobaccoish while not quite a tobacco I can put my finger on. While your mind will instantly say "this is a tobacco liquid" I don't know how quick you will associate this with a specific tobacco. It tastes very close to Vermillion River Kentucky Blend. It is a lighter taste as the website describes without a specific tobacco flavor.

He had me all up until he described it as tasting like Vermillion River Kentucky Blend, which to me tastes overwhelmingly like nuts. I was looking for a good pipe tobacco juice (think Capt Black or Black & Mild) but any sweet, aromatic tobacco sounded nice. So I read and searched and looked and the reviews of Vermillion River were outstanding... I bought the Kentucky Blend and got the Apple Blend as a free sample. I cannot taste anything but nuts, which was so disappointing. I couldn't even vape it, it's so distasteful to me. I tried letting it sit... airing it out... trying it again many times after waiting weeks between, thinking it couldn't be that bad and HAS to taste like tobacco to SOME degree... but nope. NUTS NUTS NUTS.

I have read this complaint from others about pipe tobacco juice in general... that vendors seem to think it tastes like nuts.

So my question is, does anyone know of a sweet, caramel/vanilla Cpt Black or Black & Mild type ejuice that does NOT have any nut tones in it??

THANKS!!!

Trayce, Not sure I can help you with what you're looking for because I haven't smoked either of the two you mention but I can say that VR juices all taste the same. It's the same artibacco (IMO) with different flavorings added. If you like one, you'll like them all. If you don't like one, you wont like any of them. Sounds like you'd be wasting your time paddling down the Vermillion River.

But based on your preferences, I assume you will like sweeter vapes. Try Heather' Heavenly Vapes (Dragon's Fire, Heavenly Tobacco, Heavenly Army, Shadow, Legend, Serendipity). Also, it would seem you might like RY4's. There are lots of RY4 aficionados on this thread (esp BillH). Look back several pages and he links you to all his RY4 research. There is tons of it.

While perhaps not quite as "pipe-y" as you're looking for, you might try Vurley (vanilla-infused burley), Vecchio Blend (tobacco with vanilla), or Smooth Criminal (tobacco with a hint of caramel) from Ahlusion. Since you're interested in both caramel and vanilla with your tobacco, that puts you into RY4 territory. Consider ouR whY qu4tro from Quicknic, a very good NET-based Custom RY4. The Ahlusion juices are NETs, too, of course.

Vermillion River Kentucky blends aren't "true" NETs. They're hybrids, made from Tobacco Absolute (TA), synthetic tobacco flavorings, and other non-tobacco flavors (ahem, such as nuts). At least that's what they taste like to me.

Yeah, I'm not sure what Cpt Black or Black & Mild tastes like; but like Bronze said, RY4 would cover the caramel and vanilla tobacco side of things. Plenty of NET RY4s out there that have a stronger tobacco than typical RY4s, but not sure if any has the type of tobacco flavor you're looking for. Plenty of great vanilla tobaccos in the NET world too.
