Well, Adam at HHV stands behind that liquid he sent me. He said, "99 percent" of the liquid he sends out is what I got. All this time I thought I was broke, and it turns out I must be part of the 1%. I guess Dusty_D, Eleanor, Bronze and I are all part of the Grey Poupon-eating clan (because we don't think that liquid is correct at all and not like what we've gotten). LOL

Okay, so I'll say it and stand by this: Dragon's Fire sucks and Huntsman does too, unless you're one out of 100. I love it when vendors stand their ground; it makes my future decisions and recommendations sooooooooooooo much easier.

I have spoken with a fellow vaper here and he is going to let me sample his Grey Poupon.

I agree. But, and here is the best part: he's saving me money and anyone else that asks my opinion. And to think, I first jumped on board the HHV train and yelled, "all aboard" when there was only one other passenger: luce. Those were the days.

Anyway, Sharron, that looks nice and tight. If you don't end up liking VB, you may find a similar issue ("wet bread" as you called it) with the rest of GeJ. Give VB some time. Check back at New Year's Eve and see. LOL

Mann,sorry to hear about HHV, I had an itital 3 bottle order, Pirates Booty, Serendipity and Legend, the best of those for me... Pirates Booty. For the flavor & satisfaction reasons, it was my first and last order, no to mention the QC issue from batch to batch, documented on this thread.

I prefer the less frilly tobacco vapes anyway, when I need something Fancier, MOV, Ahlusion & vape Rite can fill the void very nicely.

I understand Vendors taking pride in their juices, but sometimes things can and will go wrong, accommodating customers goes a long way in building Loyalty & Word-of-Mouth advertising... some take more time to learn this that others.

Actually.. the best advice for videos and rebuilding, especially if you're a visual learner, is to watch as many as you can stand. Phil's, Todd's, the ones in the micro coil thread, random videos on youtube.. etc. As far as pure, straightforward, accurate instruction for the first time someone tries, I think the one's on ECF can't be beat.

I am aghast that Adam behaved this way -- especially since it isn't as if you were a stranger to him! Did he even look at the photos posted in this thread, comparing/contrasting "real" DF with that bottle of pink water you got?? What was his reaction to or explanation for that?

I can't really post exactly what he said, but it was basically the runaround about last year we tried this, and then we tried that, so now we settled on what you got. Oh, and what I got is supposedly what everyone gets. That's the kicker! He also told me that, basically, since I ordered "extra extract" (a few times last year) I should do that for "maximal flavor;" and of course that meant for my next order, as in, don't expect me to send you free juice (but not so implicitly implied). I told him that I've had DF from people that didn't order "extra extract" and it was never like that damn light and weak tasting, but I don't think he really gets it. <---That's the part that scares me. I mean, how is it that all of us that have had these liquids are shocked, but the one who supposedly makes them is unmoved?

p.s. It should be noted that after I sent him the pic and asked if it looked right, I told him that it wasn't what I had previously; I left the ball in his court. I didn't ask him for replacements because when he said "99%," I realized it was pointless to continue. Hey, I got no problems with his claim on that liquid, but since he's about as accurate as a pregnancy test, when someone asks, I'll show them pictures. He wouldn't be upset by it; that's his baby. He's the daddy.

You guys have guided me to some of my favorite juices (HHV, VCV and Want2Vape NETs) and I have a long list of things I want to try that I've read about here. So far, I have found that when I vape tobacco, I far prefer NETs to lab juices, though my experience is still quite limited and I have tried NETs that I dislike and I am willing to believe there are non-NETs that I might enjoy.

All that said, I recently ordered and just received a small bottle of 7 Leaf Tobacco from ECBlend and I thought I'd see what folks thought about it. I found this:

Both flavors from ECBlends are artificial tobacco flavors. This thread is about flavorings made from actual tobacco. The NJOY tobacco would be artificial as well. You may want to check out Dekang Tobacco (aka DKTAB) for a flavor close to the one you had before.

And a few other similar quotes. I was a bit surprised because on ECBlend's page for the juice it says

Note on COLOR CHANGE: COLOR CHANGE to BLUISH-GREEN is NATURAL during colder harvest times. 7 Leaf may be BLUISH-GREEN as the ingredients are naturally extracted. It is the same flavor! Enjoy!

So I'm curious, is this stuff naturally extracted or not? Is ECBlend lying, or is there some trickiness to the wording going on?

I haven't tried the juice yet, I plan to find my Igo-L and try a few drops of this and the other (non-tobacco) bottles from my order in a little while.

Hmmm...I don't think they are lying, but they may be, er, uhh, I would have to try it. The thing is, they very well may just be using an absolute, but I don't know. Good first post. I like info and that is news to me. Even if it is not true like what we think, it's nice to now know ECB has that on their site. Thanks.

OK, I have a response that's going to make everything as clear as mud.

ECBlends' Note clearly implies that their 7 Leaf Tobacco Blend is made with either NET or TA. None of the descriptions for ECB's other tobacco juices has that Note.

I have a 5ml sample bottle of ECB 7 Leaf Tobacco Blend that I ordered almost exactly two years ago, on Sept 21st, 2011. Still full, which shows how much I liked it, LOL. The liquid is a medium-gold color with no scent that vapes as a mild, middle-of-the-road synthetic tobacco. Pleasant and inoffensive. To my palate, ECB 7 Leaf doesn't taste like any NET or TA-based juice I have (my stash contains more than 120 retail NET juices plus six home-brewed NETs with which I make DIY Tobacco Blends).

What 7 Leaf does taste like is another ancient juice I have---FSUSA 7 Leaves Ultimate. In fact, the two juices look and taste identical, which makes me feel that they are both probably simple single-flavor retail juices made from FlavourArt's 7 Leaves Ultimate flavoring.

Two years is a century in vaping time, of course. ECBlend may have altered its source flavoring or recipe since I bought my bottle, and TA does have an oily, greenish tint. So, I vote for TA being a likely additive in their current version of 7 Leaf.

That was actually quite clear Bill although after 2 years I don't know how much of the original nic would have survived. Doesn't it start degrading around the year mark?!

I bought retail juice like a drunken sailor from when I began vaping (Oct 2010) until early this year, when DIY and home-brewed NETs did their palace coup and took over my daily vaping. I still buy the occasional retail juice, mostly new RY4s to review for The Really Big RY4 Roundup thread, but my days of profligate spending are over.

My current stash contains 10 liters of retail juices, one quarter of which are RY4s. (I don't vape RY4 for pleasure anymore; now it's just my "job" on ECF.)

I've been amazed at the longevity of juices. Sure, some start to lose flavor or nic potency after a year or so, but the juice in the vast majority of those 800+ bottles (500 of which are tobaccos or RY4s) just keeps soldiering on and on and on, like the Energizer Bunny. A participant on the RY4 thread---Kent C---sent me a couple different versions of Janty RY4 that he bought in 2008-2009, and they're still tasty with ample nicotine kick. He did keep them refrigerated, but that's five years. Astonishing.

Most of my retail juice stash will probably succumb to Alzheimer's eventually, but so far, so good...

The only Vape Rite NET juices I've had were Naturally Flavored Rou's Natural Toasted Hazelnut Tobacco, Organic Flavored Madagascar Vanilla Tobacco, Organic Flavored Honey Tobacco, listed in order of preference (Flavor-wise).
