Shatner, perhaps you do not notice this as you're typing your post, but most of your "...."'s are terms that the forum software is censoring out. I would hope that should be clue enough not to keep repeating them, and that I don't need to resort to something silly like a rule reminder or an infraction before you get it?!

Dusty, I'm not trying to argue, but they're censored. Is it really that big of a deal?

Has anyone ordered that new pumpkin pie NET hybrid from NETCOM? I kinda want to jump on it even though I'm not buying juice at the moment; would like to hear some reports on it first though.

Got a sample on the way. Pumpkin pie is my absolute favorite holiday type desert. If I weren't on a clean diet and vigorous excersise routine I'd have a pumpkin spiced latte everyday from Starbucks. Maybe even 2 or 3. But on Friday, my cheat day, I'm getting a large PSL from Starbucks.

Thanks for the reminder.

I made one comment. I ain't riled...but i will settle when I am darn good and ready and not a second sooner.

I will leave it at that or else I will get another completely garbage infraction of some sort I am sure.

So I traded for some Maple Burley since I still cant get into Ahlusion fro the West Coast before it closes (ugh!). I forgot how much I adore this stuff. I can tell it aint for everyone, but me...probably my #1 favorite liquid right now.

It's like the tea party and/or conservatives in here

Yeah, the doco didn't really get into the different types of tobacco and their flavours. More so, it discussed tobacco use generally and the addictive power of nicotine as being behind the reason why people smoked. I found it fascinating that apart from the tribes in south america, it was the English that popularised tobacco and smoked pipes en masse in those early days. Cigarettes only appeared about 100 years ago.

It was a really well done documentary and I enjoyed watching it. Thanks.

I was drawing a distinction between tobacco usage and nicotine. Too often I think it's easy to conflate nicotine and all of tobacco's properties; nicotine is seen as being the sole culprit of that "addictive power." I disagree.

For instance, in the documentary (@ 9:33) when Brian Cox met with Professor David Nutt, the Director of Brain Science at Imperial College, London, the professor showed a graph on his computer about nicotine consumption as it relates to highs and lows of dopamine. The professor pointed at the "nicotine and mood" graph and said, "...when people are smoking, the more happy they are--is associated with having more dopamine." In essence, smoking is nicotine and nicotine is smoking as it pertains to effects on mood. I don't know whether the graph was really about smoking or he was really talking about nicotine (the two were used synonymously). That kind of reductive, simplistic way of looking at nicotine, IMO, is part and parcel why we have people that think vaping is no different than smoking. After all, we vape nicotine, right?

Immediately after the "nicotine and mood" graph, the professor showed a computer graphic of brain imaging and said, "...and what smoking does is block one of the enzymes in the brain that some anti-depressants block." I don't know enough about monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOI), but I know that enough research has been done on tobacco and tobacco smoke to conclude that there are other alkaloids responsible for these MAOIs. I don't know, maybe nicotine does as well, but even still, one thing I know for certain is that nicotine in tobacco is not acting alone and that should be stated, and not as a simple aside. In tobacco, nicotine may be the mastermind, but it is rollin' with a crew.

Oh, and when Professor Nutt began his introduction to the interview, he said, "we inhale this burning leaf, which contains nicotine and other things." If you watch the video and listen closely, when he says "other things," it was basically a mumble.

I've heard the draw is airy. How does it compare to other atties, like small drippers, disposables and gennies?

It is a little airy but it doesn't seem to bother me. I haven't done small atty dripping for a long time so I lost my feel for that. It is better than a Genny (I had an AGA-T+) both flavor and feel plus the KFL is far more consistent in my experience. Truthfully, the KFL takes back seat to nothing I have used (flavor/feel wise).

Just my opinion and worth what you paid for it. :)

I use a Nimbus regularly, but don't always use all three posts. Most of the time I use a single-coil setup, but I like that I have the option to dual-coil when mood strikes.

For drippers, I like 2mm hollow Ekowool. I also recommend Twik, which is Ekowool with an organic cotton core. For wire, I prefer flat ribbon. It's more expensive, but it's idiot-proof -- really, really difficult to get hot spots.

The Kayfun is a bottom-coil silica atomizer. I'm not a fan of Genesis-style atomizers. For a juice delivery system with capacity, the Kayfun has been the best solution for what I enjoy.

I completely agree with this. When I review NETs, I drip and use a clearomizer. When it's something really good, I feel like I'm wasting juice on the clearo.

Thanks for the Twik link. I bought 2 feet of the single core cotton and 2 feet of the dual core that he links to on his ebay page. We'll see how it goes.

Jerms, if I have trouble I'm PMing you, cool? What size nail/screw do you use?

My two cents since I'm in the neighborhood...

If you're making a micro coil, I'd go with a 1.5 - 2.0 mm inside diameter. A jeweler's screwdriver or #4 finishing nail works as does a 1/16th or 5/64th's drill bit.

Alright, for $22 fro the Igo-L, a few feet of 28g Kanthal and a few feet of wick, what the hell. I'm going to be asking questions when I get it, so be prepared. No, I won't use the rba thread.

I will be watching. I have an Igo-L on the way and have never built a coil myself......

No problem clnire. Jerms or one of us will help you. I suggest you look at some vids in preparation. Jerms started a micro coil thread that has some vids on it. Otherwise, just go to You Tube and do a "microcoil" search.

Also, do you have a pic of your Nimubs set up with a single coil? I'm wiring ignorant.

I ordered it a few days ago and it should be here very soon.

My NETcom order that's on the way is gonna be my last juice purchase for the forseeable future (I'm a government employee). Luckily, I've got enough bottles here to keep me busy for a while. I just now tried the first of several Mt. Baker flavors I ordered a month ago (yes, I know that company is off-topic in this thread).

Sorry to hear about the furlough. I hope you're able to return to work soon!

If you're using Twik/Ekowool, you have to wrap right on the wick, since you can't slide Ekowool into a coil.

The I use about a 1.8-2 mm nail for a mini coil with German silica and about a 1.5mm nail for micro coils with cotton (1/16th inch drill bit is perfect for micros, any bigger it's no longer a micro).
