My two cents since I'm in the neighborhood...

If you're making a micro coil, I'd go with a 1.5 - 2.0 mm inside diameter. A jeweler's screwdriver or #4 finishing nail works as does a 1/16th or 5/64th's drill bit.

Thanks, Bronze!

Yeah, I'm going for micro coil.

I got 2mm silica. I also got "Double Twik", which is 2mm, but swells to 4mm when wet. Is that ok? I also got the Twik with only 1 cotton strand. I'd assume that swells ~1/2, but that's just a wild guess. I guess we'll see.

I don't have a eyeglass screwdriver, but I do have pretty much every diameter punch, so I should be good to go.

Hope you guys don't mind answering some questions along the way if I run in to trouble.

Moon mountain's Dusty boots is my favorite tobacco juice now, yes, even over bobas, which has always been "meh"for me anyways.
It tastes(Dusty boots) like someone soaked a tobacco leaf in a top shelf bourban, cured it, then drizzled real caramel over it while it dried.absolutely wonderful no artificial/chemical taste at all just wholesome bourban/caramel deliciousness.
Got that with a nano coil with reverse cotton wicking in my trident and it's awesome, couldn't ask for more :)

I'd be more than happy to help you Shat but I've learned too many cooks in the kitchen spoil the broth and serves only to confuse and piss off the poor guy trying to learn. I'll defer to Jerms unless he's unavailable. I think you'll appreciate the effectiveness of dealing with one person.

That sounds delicious! Do you know if it purports to be a naturally-extracted tobacco?

If you're using Twik/Ekowool, you have to wrap right on the wick, since you can't slide Ekowool into a coil.

The I use about a 1.8-2 mm nail for a mini coil with German silica and about a 1.5mm nail for micro coils with cotton (1/16th inch drill bit is perfect for micros, any bigger it's no longer a micro).

I got silica, too. I'll practice on that as I got a whole spool vs only a couple feet of Ekowool. And as I said, I have punches in every size in my gunsmith tool box, so I should be good there.

Any tips I should know?

If the punches in your gunsmith box don't work you can always shoot yourself in the head.

Or my head if you're getting tired of me. :)

Don't need calipers. I have punches that are marked in diameter. ;) I think I'm good to go, honestly. I'm going to try it by myself after watching a vid or two. If I still have trouble I'll reach out for help. Thanks a ton, guys!

That's the best way Shat. Nothing like SEEING it done.

Link for German silica, please?

Also to the micro coil build and vid thread?

Here's the vid thread. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=472178

German silica can be found at RTDvapor. Or... for much cheaper, better flavor and wicking, and easier to work with, get some organic cotton balls or sterilized rolled cotton. Micros need cotton, with silica you'll be making minis.

Considering Boba's is the #1 over-hyped, over-rated juice on the market (in no way am I saying it's not good) this doesn't surprise me.

But is Moon mountain's Dusty boots a NET?

Edit: after reading their sight, I ordered 'Dust Boots' along with a few others.

And yes, Broze; the gun tool set punches will work. I have ~20 in all different diameters from 1mm-20mm. I think I'm set.
