So after the dud with MOV's Sunday Morning, I'm ordering a big order from Good E juice: 5 Protank 2.5 Heads, an off-brand 510 Standard Res Dripping Atty, and for juice, Vita Bella, GJ4, Natural Perique (all NET's) and Coffee & Cream.

Before I order, is there anything I should change? Is 2.5 for the Protank Heads the best recommendation? What about the dripper, there's a lot of options I'm seeing like low res ans dual coil? And lastly, any of those juices a no-go? For me, I'm looking for rich, flavorful tobaccos that are less on the smoke but packed with the natural flavor (I don't mind a little smokiness though - just nothing too dry, harsh, or well, nasty). Thanks!

Consider adding their Organic Tobacco to your order. It's kind of in the same family as Vita Bella but at the same time, it's got a different and delightful thing going on. It's definitely big on flavor with no harshness to speak of.

I'm afraid I can't answer your other questions 'cause I've never used a Protank and my one experience with a standard 510 atomizer was tragicomic, to say the least. I plunked down the money for a rebuildable pretty quickly after that.

Rich, flavorful tobaccos that are less on the smoke but packed with the natural flavor? Yeah, that's how I'd describe those juices. If they don't work for ya then you know to try a different direction, but GeJ is a great one to try. Vita Bella and GJ4 are some of my favorite juices. Natural Perique I haven't had in a long time. I really liked it, but it's an odd one that may not work for a lot of people. For all three, if you don't like them right away they will change quite a bit as they age.

The ohms for the ProTank heads depends on your device. If you have a device that you can adjust the power, like an eGo Twist or a variable power APV, then it doesn't matter so much what you get. If you don't have a variable device and are using something like a standard eGo or mechanical mod, how much ohms you pick will depend on how you like your vape. A 2.5 ohm head will be around 6 watts in a non-variable device. Too weak for me, but perfect for many others. I use the 1.5 or 1.8 ohm heads in my mechanicals, for 8-10 watts. Same thing for atomizers, the low resistance ones will be in the 1.5 to 1.8 ohm range and is what I prefered. I never cared for dual coils.

Yeah, I'm using a 1300mah Spinner. I went ahead and ordered the 2.5 heads because I had burning issues with what I think was my 1.8 Kanger head (I threw it away before I was sure what res it was) and just the standard res dripper. It seems like my battery has a tendency to burn things up, so hopefully lower res may counter that. To make things cheaper, I crossed Vita Bella off my list; I know that that may be a weird move, but everyone raves so much about that juice that I don't want to have my first real juice making everything else look bad. Brought everything down to $28 for three juices, a dripper, and 5 heads. Not bad at all. My only worry is that the NET's will pull a MOV and taste like water, and that the NET's will kill my heads. There's not one even slightly negative review on GeJ's website, incredibly rare thing, so hopefully that's a good sign!

If they taste like water, that's not the liquid but the juice delivery device.

NET's don't kill heads... at most they may clog/gunk them up which just means you'll need to clean/dry burn them more often. Certain NET's are more prone to this than others which are filtered more.... GeJ's NET's are really pretty clean as are HHV's and N-E-T.com and several others... W2V's are pretty much head gunkers but their flavor keeps a lot of vapers coming back despite that.

MM already mentioned that lack of flavor is often the JDS's fault... but with so many clone/fakes out there it is sometimes hard to judge based on just reviews since many people only pay attention to price instead of going with a known quality vendor... GeJ is good about not carrying fakes, so you are good there.

If you had the battery turned all the way down to 3.2 volts, it shouldn't have burning issues at 1.8 ohms. The 2.5 ohms should give you more of a range though, just start low and turn it up until it's what you like. Sounds like your just going through the basic learning curve all new vapers face, it'll get easier.

I think you'll find much better results with the dripping atomizer. If you need help getting it going right, check out this great thread http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=405910

Thing is, I really think the MOV Sunday Morning juice was faulty. It was wicking incredibly well with my Protank, no burnt tastes either. Just it tasted like watery maple syrup and smelled like it too; it was also a really thin juice, wouldn't even stay in the dripping tool. I put some of it in an old Blu carto and it tasted exactly the same. Not a bad taste, just, a bit like a leafy maple syrup. No sort of tobacco at all, and I let it steep a week, and let it sit unopened a week before that. Now, I've had a bit of smoker's tongue for weeks, but this was an NET after all; it shouldn't have to have an excuse to taste weak. But I guess my new juices, the new heads, and the dripper will prove one thing or the other. I just have a great sense of smell though, and I can smell the nuances in anything, and this MOV juice just smells like something I'd put on pancakes if I were diabetic. Like a Sweet'n'Low Maple.

I sure would like to see for myself whether or not this liquid is off.

So now I am the one that looks crazy, or maybe I always looked like that? I dunno, probably. Either way, I am vaping OT #1 right now and when I got this liquid last year, it did NOT have a pine taste to it. I like it fine now, but I remember seeing Scarf say "pine" and I was thinking, "that's not right." I got rid of my last bottle, which was from early (spring) last year (though I think Scarf said "pine" later last year, toward the end of the year), so I can't "prove" it, but I promise there wasn't this immediate pine taste/smell. There also seems (more like screams) to be some flavor enhancer in there, but I can't identify it. This liquid barely had any nose to it, but now it is getting all up in my olfactory perception.

Man, I feel duped again. I see people talking about liquids that are different from what I had and tasted, and I always think others are getting it wrong, that is until I get what they are tasting. It's so crazy. Pine in OT#1, cherry in Gandy? Oy vey. What's next? If I ever taste a Graham Craker in BB or cinnamon in SC I will leave the liquid forum for good!

It's so refreshing to see you confused every now and again!

I think the juice vendors have caught on to you, and are deliberately labeling stuff wrong when sending it to you. Same with the folks on here. :D
