Nice conversation here...

How does KF 3.1 and FT clone behave in terms leaking when they are carried in pockets and laying sideways?

I've been thinking about the FT KF 3.1 clone for a while now... I'm confused about dry burning the coil while tank is half full. Does the 3.1 tank need to be drained before dry burning the coil?

Thanks.

Doesn't leak at all, totally pocket friendly.

Yeah, need to drain and take apart tank to dry burn.

Mountain Oak Vapor has acknowledged that Full Virignia Flake RY4 may have diacetyl. The company is offering exchanges for anyone not comfortable vaping this juice.

That would explain why it was buttery for me. Good on them to make the announcement. Not one I would reorder anyways.

So let's say for GeJ patriot/organic #1, then we'll need dry burn KF*'s coils this every 1.5-2mL, right?

Are there other RBAs with similar flavor profile like KF, but doesn't require the tank to be drained for dry burning? This will be actually be more hassle for me since with T2s, I can just swap a coil. Of course, the flavor will be (hopefully) better with the KFs.

I'm trying to reduce the hassle and increase the flavor :)

Thanks.

the reason you can only get through 1.5ml-2ml is not as much the NETs fault as it is your JDS. If you start rebuilding and making microcoils you could easily get to 4 or 5 mls with Patriot or Organic#1 IMO.

Agreed! You should be able to get through a tank on the KFL easily before having to rinse/dry-burn/swap your wick.

I haven't even started on my FVFRY4 bottle that I received from them.

Would going through 30ml hurt me in any way? I can stay away from it if needed, but don't think it's economical to ship back to them for an exchange..

I'll probably just write it off if anything.

Yeah, with the exception of a couple W2V NETs I can't see the Kayfun having any issues getting through a tank. I wouldn't vape anything in it that required cleaning at half a tank.

Dusty, I wouldn't worry about vaping one bottle of something that may contain diacytel or diacytel substitute, but that's up to you of course. I've been vaping CLS and Creme Brulee without worry but wouldn't vape it all the time.

Hey ho. I currently have a kayfun lite, kayfun lite plus and 7 clones from ehpro and tobecca (however you spell that).

1) absolutely no leak from all as long as you make sure the o rings are fine and you tighten every component. The reason it doesn't leak is because of equilibrium pressure within the tank vs outside when you're not puffing on it. On the other hand, the genesis is essentially just like a mason jar with holes on the lid. There's no effective internal pressure to prevent the liquid from flowing out if not built right.

2) I'm a heavy Boba's bounty vaper (30ml, 100% VG). That juice is well known for being one heck of a coil gunker. I typically add 5 drops of distill water, but it's still thick as hell. Using a microcoil and cotton wick, I change my wick every 2 tanks. I haven't changed my coils in 3+ weeks. All you gotta do is remove cotton after 2 tanks, pulse and dry burn and rewick. I have a microcoil that's been running for 5 weeks and baby still runs like a monster.

3) if you're looking to buy clones, I strongly recommend you consider the following: does it have the standard replaceable drip tip? Do they provide the metallic or plastic midsection? Do you mind it whistling when you puff on it (some clones do and some don't, even from the same manufacturer)

4) rip tripper's vertical micro coil has yielded the absolute BEST results for me. Highly recommend checking it out. It looks complicated but when you actually do it it's 5 mins tops

5) genesis style tanks like kraken or RSST gives phenomenal flavor, similar to dripping. And you can easily rewick without emptying the tank

Thank to you too inotfat! I'm confused about your # 2). Can you do that with juice in the tank? Or do you need a clean and rinsed tank?

Cheers :)

Umm . . . I don't do Facebook, so I am unable to see what exactly MOV had to say about this, but . . .

How long have they been selling that particular juice? And how could they not know that diacetyl is or "may be"(??) in it?:blink:

This is just one of many reasons why I have reached the point of not trusting my lungs to anyone but Wladimir Foo . . . :(

In fairness to MOV, I checked their Supplier Thread here on ECF, and while they have not posted anything there about their Virginia Flake and diacetyl (the thread is pretty inactive), I do see from LeDean's prior posts that MOV is very much opposed to knowingly using diacetyl or its main substitutes in their juices.

Okay, letting it go now . . .

Heyo! I'm gonna make this short cos we are dangerously close to hijacking this thread. In the case of my protanks or evods, you can just unscrew the base leaving the juice in the tank, and then pull the wick out and dry burn using the base itself. For rba like the kayfun, the only difference is that I drain the existing juice into a small little bottle first, then using just the coiling deck, i pull the wick out and dry burn it. I personally don't wash my tanks unless I'm changing flavors. But if it's just for coil maintenance, there's no need to clean it out. Hope it clears things up. If not feel free to PM me and I'll make a little video for you.

P.s. For anyone else who might be irritated with all these RBA talk, I just rmb that I brought it up because using a well set up RBA for tobacco flavors will blow your mind. The nice rich tobacco just comes out brilliantly. I feel like a lot of people have tried tonnes of tobacco juice and found them to be lacking in that elusive tobacco whiff. I believe that could be the missing piece of the puzzle.

MOV has removed the NET (Gold Label) of RY4 from their website. They should have done the 'right thing' and notified everyone that has purchased it in the last 6 months, but did NOT.

Hey guys, I have a few NET's lying around, and when I dripped them in my 3.5ohm Cisco atomizer, I was getting some pretty brilliant tastes at first, but they seemed to clog up the atomizer instantly, leading to a dry, ashtray taste, and not allowing any regular juices to be tasted on the atomizer any longer.

I'm rebuilding an RDA for the first time, and I really want to build a coil that handles a few of these NET's well, and if it handles the NET's, surely it'd do wonders for my normal juices. Any tips or tricks that really help your coils stay good for at least a day or two? I'll be using two standard, cheap RDA's with no bottom air hole. I'm getting multiple gauges and multiple silica/ekowool diameters, as well as pre-boiled cotton, so anything you could advise in terms of diameter of the coil or anything like that, for these NET's, would be great.

Preferrably with silica, since I'll have a lot more of it than the cotton lol.

Micro coils handle gunking a little better than standard, and thicker gauge lasts longer too, but the difference is small. I'd suggest setting up a system that works best for you as far as flavor, performance, and ease. If a juice is a gunker, it'll gunk on any setup, so if your vaping gunky NETs you'll have to dry burn more often.

Some clean NETs will go several days, some a few hours, and most somewhere in the middle. I tend to grab for whatever I'm in the mood to vape instead of thinking about gunking, and usually use one or two drippers a day (or with cotton, removing the cotton and dry burning quick once or twice a day).

What are you vaping that gunks your Cisco atty up instantly?

Thanks again. And I appreciate your video offer :) When the time comes, I will let you know.

I agree with you about these hardware diversions once in a while since it's an essential part of enjoying NETs. It feels like the more authentic NET experience a juice gives the more gunk factor it produces. This is the reason I haven't dared to vape any of W2V NETs yet.

Back to regular programming :)

I vaped 66 day steeped GeJ Vita Bella today. In my T2s, it has a medium tobacco impact with some extra flavor which I think is supposed to be vanilla. Overall it's very smooth and enjoyable, nothing odd. I'm not sure though it is that interesting and layered for me to reorder it. I enjoy GJ4 overall better then Vita Bella.
