SIX OPINIONS TEZ! Mwa, You, Mann, Luce, Eleanor and Me!
:evil::vapor::toast:

I find that at least 3 opinions on a new juice are really optimal if any accurate assessments are to be made... ehem....ehem!

Off topic and I meant to comment on this earlier, but that is one gorgeous collection of Reos you have for your avatar!

I've had some Devil Dog, Gandalf, and KB #7 steeping for almost a week now. Will try these in a few of days.

Just received some juices from TPR which I have been making my way through. Very interesting and tasty. Some of these flavors are totally new to me. Have to rewick a couple of my atomizers so I can really get my head around them.

No Blue Grass Burley available yet along with some others from Ahlusion, so will put off a second order for a little bit. Sounds like they may be a little busy right now.

Hi Tibs and Mr. mann - What's your initial impressions of the Devil Dog fragrance/ingredients? I would like to know which tobacco or flavor triggered the ol' fainting maiden mechanism (well, it didn't literally, but I couldn't get "in" to the blend)...

OK, Just for you Mr Mann :)

Some really great looking stuff if I do say so myself :),, nice full Big leaves, they each have a smell to there own and it is a wonderful smell, the aroma alone is amazing, if the juice turns out just like it smells I'll be happy, but this should be some real robust full flavored juice for sure, I cant wait to be able to dip into it, I loaded up 4 bottles today :) 2 weeks minimum until I test it, and its gonna be hard not to touch it but Im not going to, 1st week of Sept will be 1st tasting, then some samples sent out :)

Photobucket is down right now so I cant upload really good pics right now had to use ECF way

The Devil Dog was very 'grassy' tasting for me right out of the mail. I have been taking some small samples of it since I have let it sit a bit, and the flavor has totally changed for me. It's a very gruff tobacco flavor now. No sweetness to this one, but at the same time not overpowering or smokey tasting. Once I get my little attys done, and let it steep a few more days, I will try my hand at a review.

TBinAZ,

Linda @ TPA has something you can add just the very smallest amount to that Liquid that will get rid of that grassy taste if you want, speak to her if you want to get rid of that, or maybe you already know about it not sure.

I will do my best to "review" it soon. Actually, luce did a review awhile back that you can check out (it's here in this thread).

TPA? Not privy yet. Do you have a link?

Steeping has gotten rid of a lot of what I was tasting at first. Has very 'earthy' tobacco undertones now, but with more of a dry taste like a real analog. Gruff is my best description right now, but I need some new wick action going here before I go any further. Wanna make sure I get these things right. Kind of tedious to get exact the exact res I want. Working it.

Yes, I saw that one, but couldn't ID the tobacco that had that "scotch whisky" flavor to it. Wondered if there's one tobacco flavour that constitute the main note?

I can pretty much guarantee you that Vermillion won't be right for you, because those liquids definitely have that essence with less of a robust tobacco. Put it like this, Vermillion is the Lil' Bow Wow to Ahlsuion's Devil Dog: same beast, but one is a pup. If you don't like that type of animal, however, stay away from VR.

I hate to sound pretentious but "Lil' Bow Wow" is now known as "Bow Wow" and is totally insignificant. Please refrain from hip-hop language if you cannot address it correctly. That is all. Fight the Power!

This is not a winnable battle, luce. "Bow Wow" isn't and never was hip-hop, if you call it that then stop. Now that is all, homeboy. Shut 'em down!

Thanks Mr. M - that is EXACTLY what I was after. It's a shame really (but only for me I hasten to add), because DD has ALL the right notes that I love - in your face, tobacco NET, distinct but separate flavor notes, it's just that one ingredient that I can't manage - BUT ! - for the rest of who can...you're going to LOVE this e-juice from Ahlusion.

Vendor: Ahlusion E-liquids

Vendor Description: "From our specialty line of e-liquids: Ahlusion House Blend tobacco flavor. Enjoy a velvety smooth vape anywhere without the harmful ingredients and burnt aftertaste of the chemicals which mask the true taste of tobacco." (...Hmmm, kind of weak. I had no idea at all what to expect.)

Composition: 70 PG/30 VG at 12mg (I have been ordering 50/50 up until now, and I think I will stick with their recommendation from now on.)

Juice Age: Right out of the mailbox.

Devices Used: Phoenix RBA (fresh wick/coil) on Provari. 2.0 ohms at 4.5v

My thoughts: My first inhale treated me to a rush of a light, sweet tobacco with a caramel undertone, which gave me the impression that this was going to be Ahlusion's 'house' RY-type offering. Upon exhale the whole game changed, and with every hit the flavor morphed into something deliciously different. This flavor is coming across to me as a similar flavor to the Smooth Criminal, but in a lighter form with more caramel as opposed to more of a honey note. There is slightly more of a cinnamon hint to the flavor, but there is something else there too. I sat here vaping it for about 15 mins thinking about what it could be. Is it a buried, slightly toned down clove? Do I sense a very slight citrus note? A tiny taste of anise? The cinnamon has totally changed into something even more delicious than it started out as. I'm still at a loss as to what the 'extra' addition is, but it totally makes this juice flavor. The sweetness of the tobacco and caramel is not as pronounced now, and the 'additional ingredients' have taken over. The tobacco base has not at all lost its presence. I'm going to keep vaping this one until I can get a grasp of what has entered the show. Like I mentioned, I was expecting more of an RYx experience, but as everything else I have tried from Ahlusion so far, this one has totally blown my socks off. This one is highly recommended. This is from their line of naturally extracted tobacco base flavors.

Vendor: The Plume Room

Vendor Description: " A bittersweet melody of House-Extracted tobacco and the finest Italian cigar. The rich, complex flavor will leave an unforgettable impression. Perfect for cigar aficionados and those who prefer a complex tobacco blend."

Composition: PG/VG not noted on site and guessing 70/30. 12mg strength.

Juice Age: No BOD. 3 days from mailbox.

Devices Used: Phoenix RBA (fresh wick/coil) on Provari. 2.0 ohms at 4.5v

My Thoughts: I've smoked Toscanos before in my day, but had to do some research to refresh my memory. My first inhale/exhale gave me the impression of fine cigar tobacco with a hint of nutty, kind of like hazelnut. Not much sweetness at all, but not bitter to me. The more tokes I took, the more the 'intended' flavor came out. Wow. This is good, I mean real good. If I close my eyes, I would swear I was really smoking the real thing. It's hard for me to remember exactly the taste I experienced years ago, but I can almost guarantee this is as close as it gets. The description provided is spot on. I'm almost tempted to order a few and light them up just to see how accurate my brain and taste buds are. This vape is not overpowering to me at all, but still delivers the flavor, and mouth and throat feeling, that I recollect when I relished the real things. There is not a loss for flavor one bit, or 'other flavors' thrown in, and the 'complex' part is pretty dang accurate. No overwhelming smokiness like some other extracts I have tried. I am guessing that this is extracted from the Antica, but I'm not a cigar aficionado. I would have to say that you will need to experience this yourself to understand. When I was researching these Toscanos a bit, I found that they were one of Clint Eastwood's favorites, obviously when he was doing those Italian westerns back in the 70s. I can see why. Nice job Ms. Ramaglia.

I think I finally have figured out these little Phoenix RBAs. I can get a consistent 2.0 ohms and use the exact same amount of wick. I've tried every combination of wick material, winds, gauge that I can stand. Just the regular K 32 and Silica done the right way works a treat. Great for doing taste tests when you can replicate. I have 4 of these little attys with a replacement on the way. I also have been going a little nutty in the co-ops, so should have some other 'interesting' things coming shortly.

More reviews to come... my 'feeble' additions. LOL

Good Job, TB! I am happy to see you toss your hat in the review ring. It's something about seeing reviews that gets me going.

p.s. I am on it!
