Vendor: The Plume Room
Liquid: Candied Cavendish
Thoughts: "Rich, low tones of Cavendish followed by mid and high notes of banana" (description on website)

Banana. A flavor most of us didn't associate with tobacco until vaping. Out of any flavor out there, banana isn't my first choice for an eliquid. Don't get me wrong though, there's been banana tobacco eliquids created that are popular (Gorilla Juice from Alien Visions and Kong's Vape from Primevaping).

When I first tried this liquid right out of the box it was all banana laffy taffy flavor with just a hint of tobacco. I wasn't a huge fan as I'm looking for a tobacco vape when I order any NET. I put it up for a few days to try it again later. Yes, steeping changed it. The banana flavor mellowed out while the Cavendish went from the backseat to the passenger seat. It's still banana laffy taffy but with a sweet Cavendish finish. If you're looking for a smoky/manly tobacco it's not here. Think more of Ahlusion tobaccos (besides the premium line) than Want2Vape.

Throat hit at 6mg is pretty good and vapor production is great.

Final thoughts, this is a pretty darn good eliquid. It definitely tastes like its name and description. This is a novelty eliquid, as many looking for that tobacco substitute may be unimpressed, but it's a good novelty tobacco. Andrea has somehow managed to combine two of her NETs with different candies. In the Burley and Candy, the burley is in the front. In Candied Cavendish it's the banana. If you have a sweet tooth for banana laffy taffy, give this one a go. I'll definitely be finishing my 10ml bottle, just not very quickly (like Gandolf). 7.5/10

(banana word count is 8. I don't think I've ever written banana so much.)

My goodness, this is a great night for reviews, I see. Thank you, gentleman! Luce, Tb, these were great reads. Luce, that review was, well, bananas! LOL

I was wondering about that Candied Cavendish. Glad the 'peel' was removed. LOL. I like banana, but not sure I could vape a lot of it. Nice one LuceBB.

Mann, dood, I have a whole desk full of stuff going here. Expect a whole lot more now that I have a handle on things (for now).

I actually ordered some P-38 from Jerry. Woah, Daddy!! Holy menthol, Batman. That one might be a bit short, because Woah, Daddy!! pretty much sums it up.

I've never been a menthol smoker, but have tried a few tokes in my day. That P-38 is a humm-dinger. It does tone down a bit the more you vape, but those first hits are like 3 Newports at the same time. Yowza. It's actually pretty spot-on with the mint flavor I think, but dang. Hmmm, maybe we spoke our peace already. LOL. It *IS* WTA though, ya now?

Yeah, like blow the back of your head off "woah"!

Vendor: Aroma Ejuice

Vendor Description: "This is for you clove lovers out there. Do you miss your old school Clove Cig. Do you remember the Kretek Djarum Black packs that had clove full aroma while using them? Do you remember when thery were real and not wrapped in come cigar like paper. When try our Djarum Blacks it will bring you back to when you first tried them. It has a great infusion, of spices and the right amount of clove. If you are looking for some cherry or vanila pick up a small bottle of our Vanilla, or Cherry."

Composition: WTA Base. PG/VG not noted on site. 12mg strength. (and you guys had both 12mg LOW AND 10mg on the label, I think you meant 10ml. Need a little more attention to label detail.) (oh, and be sure to affix the labels straighter please.) (/mini-rant off)

Juice Age: BOD 8/8. One day from mailbox.

Devices Used: Phoenix RBA (fresh wick/coil) on Provari. 1.9 ohms at 4.5v

My Thoughts: Okay folks, I'm sure back in the day, you tried one (or more) of those clove flavored cigarettes. Well, I'm here to tell ya that this juice does a decent job of bringing back those flashback memories. At first, the taste comes off as being a bit too 'chemically' if that's a word, but the more tokes you take, the more true it becomes. I wasn't privy to the 'Kretek Djarum' line as far as I can recall (ha!), but this Darjim Black Clove gives you a pretty close, realistic, flavour experience. Other than the initial chemical note, which goes away rather quickly, this juice replicates the flavor quite well. Keep in mind that this is a WTA based juice, which has many 'enhancements' over the usual e-liquid bases. I'm a firm believer in it. I was never a 'lover' of the clove flavored cigs, but experienced it. If you appreciate the clove flavor, I would say give this one a try for sure. Maybe try a higher nic level above 12mg though if you're looking for a more lively TH. All in all, an interesting take on the 'clove' experience. I'll be vaping more of this off and on for the reminiscence effect (and for the WTA).

(Edit: After taking another close look at the label, there is a born on date and expiration. I must have missed it the first go-round because you would need the assistance of a magnifying glass. Sorry I missed that before, AEJ.)

Vendor: Ahlusion E-juice

Vendor Description: "From our specialty line of tobacco e-liquids: Desperado. Enjoy a velvety smooth, rich vape anywhere without the harmful ingredients and burnt aftertaste of the chemicals which masks the true taste of tobacco. Desperado is based on our tobacco extracts with a sweeter under tone that gets better as it ages." (kinda sounds like all of the descriptions. kinda)

Composition: 70 PG/30 VG. 12mg strength. (I find it absolutely amazing that most of the juices I've received from Ahlusion have the same, or very close, hue. Is that art in action? kind of amazing actually)

Juice Age: BOD 8/18. 6 days later, but the seal was cracked today.

Devices Used: Phoenix RBA (with cleaned coil/wick) on a ProVari. 2.0 ohm at 4.5v

My Thoughts: I'm like totally perplexed with this flavor. Maybe it hasn't steeped past the recommended 24 hours or more as suggested on the product page? I get the usual delicious tobacco extract Ahlusion uses, but I'm getting a rather heavy undertone of sweetish citrus. What the heck would a desperado on the plains be doing with a citrus blend? Seriously, I was expecting the Marlboro Man to hop out of my atty. I'm just not getting that at all. Desperate for what? a swizzle stick? All kidding aside, this really is a pretty enjoyable vape. Very complex with all of the undertones I'm getting, which is a plethora. No 'gruffness' what-so-ever. And no super sweetness or overly spicy notes. I think I'm going to have to try this one again in a few days to see if this has changed it's demeanor. Remember guys, this is just my personal take on it. No offense. And I really did clean the atty out well.

Wow, I'm even more eager for Ahlusion to get the Burley and Devil Dog back in stock now that I'm seeing all these great reviews! And TPR is now on my short list too (so many liquids to try!)

Here's my (somewhat overdue) review of my first HHV order:

I was initially a bit disappointed by the HHV juices, however, after some aging and breathing, they have indeed become heavenly. Initially there was an "incense" or "perfume" quality that was overpowering the subtle flavors, making them all taste kind of the same, but after a week with the caps off, and then another week in the dark, that's almost totally gone, and I'm now really liking them. I think perhaps I got a really "fresh" batch of juices, so the steeping made more of a difference than others have found. Or perhaps I'm particularly sensitive to whatever they're using for a flavor carrier, but whatever it is seems to be volatile, and evaporates away nicely.

Vendor: Heather's Heavenly Vapes

Liquid: Gandalf

Age: 2 weeks

Ratio: 70/30 and 0/100

Thoughts: Not sweet. There's a nice earthy note on top, with slightly funky overtones. The tobacco flavor is subtle. I was expecting more of a strong pipe-tobacco flavor, but it's quite nice all the same. The subtle flavors change from toke to toke, which is something I always enjoyed from a real cigarette. Sometimes there's a whiff of applewood smoke, or even barbeque. The 70/30 mix is definitely the way to go for max flavor, as the pure VG mix doesn't have as much kick, though It's still quite good.

Not much else to say that others haven't already said. Definitely some wizardry in there. Not sure how it compares to the actual longbottom leaf from the Shire that the old wizard is so fond of, but in my mind at least, I can almost feel the hair on my feet grow.

---

Liquid: Dragon's Fire (70/30)

Thoughts: Working from memory on this one, since my sample bottle is empty. It's slightly sweet, but with the same earthy & funky notes and smokiness as the Gandalf, and a little tart note hidden in there somewhere. So far, this is my favorite from HHV. It could easily be an all day vape.

---

Liquid: Huntsman (70/30)

Thoughts: "Sweet and sour" pipe tobacco. Not as smoky or funky as the other two. Quite clean and almost crisp. I like this one quite a bit too.

---

The dark horse and pirate booty are still awaiting a clean empty tank for a real test.

---

And last, and unfortunately least (so far) is the Cherry Bomb (0/100). Not a tobacco flavor, but figured I'd mention it. It has mellowed a bit with age, but the "incense" flavor is still totally overpowering. Perhaps they use a higher dose of flavor carrier when extracting the cherries. Interestingly, it ends up tasting quite smoky.

I'll definitely order again from HHV, in larger quantities so I can see how they go long-term.

Okay, I finally figured out what is in some "tobacco flavors" that I hate.

It's that sweet, carmel taste they put in, or honey........like I could taste in ry4, tribeccca, etc. Johnson's Creek tennesse cured has it, .....so many have that. and people love it.

I can't stand it.

So what are my choices narrowed down to now?

Vendor: Ahlusion E-juice

Vendor Description: "From our specialty line of e-liquids, our Vecchio Blend is a lightly roasted (light) tobacco cured with Vanilla beans. Enjoy a velvety smooth, rich vape anywhere without the harmful ingredients and burnt aftertaste of the chemicals which mask the true taste of tobacco."

Composition: 70 PG/30 VG. 12mg strength.

Juice Age: BOD 8/18. 6 days later, but the seal was cracked today.

Devices Used: Phoenix RBA (with new coil/wick) on a ProVari. 1.6 ohm at 4.2v

My Thoughts: Ok. I get this one right out of the box so to speak. Still the scrumptious, albeit lighter, tobacco base taste, but with a creamy vanilla undertone. Much like the description states, but a bit more on the sweeter side than I was expecting. Maybe this would be better fit with the same vanilla flavor, but less sweet. Again, it's not overpowering, but it's there. It's almost like the difference between milk chocolate and darker chocolate. Don't get me wrong, I kinda dislike the more bitter dark cacao flavor, maybe not, but maybe you get my drift. I'm kind of getting the cinnamon thing again, but it isn't as pronounced. It really is a right balance with the vanilla undertone. I'm still waiting for the extracted tobacco base to make a comeback, but it is struggling. Yet again, there is something else there, very very subtle. More along the line of what was originally intended I'm sure, and it may be just the very subtle cinnamon addition. Maybe I'm being overcritical with my tastes. I have only been among the true living again for 6 months as far as getting my true taste back. Maybe I'm more sensitive to cinnamon now over other ingredients? I don't know. This is, in my opinion, a very mellow extracted taste. I usually don't side with vanilla after tasting some of the chemical renditions out there, but this one is dang close to the real thing. Maybe that's why I really like this Vecchio Blend, and will actually endorse it (buy again). Honestly.

Remember, not all caramel or honey enhanced juices are the same. Especially when mated up with other 'special ingredients'. I'm like you man, I'm not a fan of overly sweet concoctions. Especially if the main intent is a good tasting natural tobacco base.

Geez Louise!!! All these new reviews -- I love it! TB, you've had a busy night! I really like your addition of Composition, Juice Age, and Device Used to the review format.

I also wanted to mention that Hulamoon (and Mr.Mann deserves some recognition for facilitating this) was kind enough to send me a sample of Ahlusion's Devil Dog. Admittedly, I always put my guard up a little when I see folks raving about a juice -- not intentionally, but it's a knee-jerk reaction. I'm pleased to say that despite my hint of skepticism, I am completely impressed by this juice! Toward the beginning of this thread, Luce mentioned that if I liked W2V's London, I would love Devil Dog. That's a spot on comparison. I would need to vape them side-by-side, but in a blind taste test, I'm not sure I would be able to tell the difference. And if Devil Dog is indeed easier on atty's, you're looking at one happy NET vaper! :vapor:

Thanks Hulamoon and Mann!

No problem, Tez. I knew YOU would like it. It is really amazing that, aside from luce, I haven't seen any of you all's faces, but I have a strong inclination as to what would work for many of my friends here (and I do consider the regulars here friends). Once again, just like the post I made after I found this thread chillin' in the archives: Luce, this thread is awesome and has really brought about the most positive changes in my vaping since the ProVari. Cheers to Natural Tobaccos and pour out a little liquor for the imitations.

Yep, I have to give the accolades to luceblueboy for the thread creation and reviews for sure, BUT I have to thank Mr.Mann for scooping me up out of the newbie gutter and for the 'pass it forward' thing. For if I hadn't found this thread, and the Top 5 thread, I just might have crawled back under my smokey rock by now. You guys rock. No pun intended.

Your choices are all the wondrous plant extracts that we rave about! I would direct you to this thread, but it appears as if you are already here. I stil think that many people read this thread title and think this is filled with 555 and RY4 suggestions (or at least the type you "can't stand." Welp, it's not. Billherbst has that WHOLE thing on lock. This is more like a garden party.

By the way - Mr. Mann's capitulation...oops sorry, wrong word....facilitation... was actually reached with the two of them having an arm wrestling match with the Devil Dog in between them. Mr. M actually won that one, so Tez did what all great victors do and begged instead. So...Ladies - if you too want to be renowned as a face that launches a thousand ships, do what I do - wave a bottle of Devil Dog in one hand, and a bottle of NLV something or another in the other, look faint and declare "Anyone want these?" :D So glad you enjoyed it Tez, and thanks to both of you for saving me cash with Vapenstein's London because of identifying that one dominant flavor that I just don't get along with. I'll probably send something out anyway to the gracious Mr. M too for being such a gentleman. Ain't life grand.
