You folks have given me the NET bug and I purchased 7 bottles, 6ml each, from Heather's Heavenly Vapes. I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly they shipped my order. All 7 bottles (mostly tobacco flavor) are sitting on the steep shelf and I've marked the calendar. I'm so excited to try them, but I want them to be at their prime so I will let them set.

I re-ordered from Want2Vape. Had one of their sampler orders a couple years ago. Took them to a vape meet for 'show & tell' and most of them disappeared at the vape meet. I barely got a taste of them, but what I had was wonderful! They should be here in a few days. Already have steeping space set aside for them. Looking forward to their arrival and these will NOT be leaving the house. They are Mine - all Mine - lol

Thanks to this thread, good things will be happening at my house :vapor:

pkj, most of HHV's samplers are already pre-steeped from what I understand. A day or two and they should be good to try out. What did you get?

Shadow
Huntsman
Serendipty
Heavenly Tobacco
Dragon Fire
Java Smooth
Bah-In

How did I do? Do you think I will like them? I am prone to tobacco & coffee flavors. Fruits for me are apple, peach, & blackberry. Yes, I know - I need to stretch a bit and expand my favorite flavors - ;)

Sorry that flavor didn't work for you. It, like most tobacco flavors, is made from a highly concentrated tobacco flavoring namely tobacco absolute. On this thread we explore tobaccos made by extracting the flavor from actual tobacco leaves. Like you, I don't like much sweet with my tobac. If you tell us what kind of flavor you would really like we'll help you find some real tobacco taste.

I really don't mean to keep harping on this, but Tobacco Absolute is extracted from actual tobacco leaves. In fact, Tobacco Absolute is the essentail oil of tobacco leaves. The most widely available type of Tobacco Absolute is extracted from Nicotiana Tabacum ( "Turkish" tobacco ). They use steam distillation, the same way many other essential oils are extracted.

The best description I've read of it's use in e-liquid is in Post #1 of the Vapenstein Addo Scientia thread:

Tobacco Absolute- this is a concentrate of natural tobacco extract. There must be something more to the process that makes it, because this is generally nicotine-free. It is extremely potent, and actually gives a somewhat ashy taste. Used with an extremely delicate hand, it actually imparts a sense of burning tobacco. Odd, because there is no reason it should, being a concentrate of tobacco extract. A vendor I really like makes juice that uses tobacco absolute to wonderful effect. I can't detect it, but I know it's a primary ingredient in all their tobacco vapes. Almost every other juice that uses tobacco absolute sticks out like a sore thumb, because used indiscriminately it makes the juice taste like straight ash tray.

Tobacco absolute is an important blending ingredient that, used well, adds a note that helps your brain accept vaping as a cigarette replacement. The problem here is that almost no juice uses it well, so most vendors would do well to steer clear of using it.

When it's very VERY diluted I think it's great, personally. Very much like the good part of cigarette smoke when exhaled, the kind of slightly sweet silky feel from the released essential oils. Very satisfying in my opinion and works good with my homemade NET experiments. When highly diluted by the recommended amount I really get no nastiness at all.

I went through a tank of it, and found it too sweet for my palette as well. This was with a 3 week steep about a month or so ago. I'll put it into play again tomorrow and see if it has changed and report back.

Thanks appreciate that. The sweetness didn't bother me, though yes VERY sweet (but I like Bounty Hunter too), but the almost waxy chapstick flavor I didn't like. This was still very fresh, only a couple days old. A couple days later and leaving the cap off for a few hours there was a slight improvement. It also reminded me of Black Cherry Shasta. I started it early because I like to have a few artificial tobaccos on hand (shame shame says the NET crowd) but since I'm not getting tobacco I may put it away for a long steep.

Pkj, what did you get from W2V? I'm trying them for the first time, got the 5 premium tobaccos doubled up in the sampler and Pure "Smoke". So far the few I've tried have been great, passed the test for future big bottle orders.

Well, I was braced for an onslaught of power punches to the head and body. Very surprised to only receive a few jabs! :)
I'm gonna leave y'all to it. I'll probably be looking in from time to time but anytime you need me to increase traffic five fold again, you got my card. Be good! Play nice! Peace!!! :toast:

We are all aware of what TA is, how it is extracted, and how it tastes. We are also very aware that you like the stuff. That's good for you since TA juices are usually cheap. Since this thread is about NETs, some discussion of TA was necessary to establish a baseline and how NETs are different but singing praises for TA juices isn't going to win you any converts here so give it a rest already!

You have the right to your own opinion, but not to your own facts. I don't care what you vape.

Let's see if I can do this short and sweet:

Shadow : Smooth after steeping.
Huntsman : Scary all the time. /evil sign
Serendipty : Haven't tried yet
Heavenly Tobacco : Appreciate this now that I've tried NETs.
Dragon Fire : I've got 300ml of this steeping. 'nuff said!
Java Smooth : Dark, strong, almost espresso type coffee.
Bah-In : Haven't tried yet

Good mix there pkj.

Excuse me but who is this " We " you speak for? I'd like to know who is trying to shut-down another poster. Is there a Committee here that approves who posts what? Come on, fess up, " We " want names.

Perhaps some may think it is simply a matter of symantec's... But when it comes down to it, there is still a difference between the type of extraction used in TA and those that are used in NET's... This isn't a matter of shutting down discussions on occasion about TA extractions per se... But it is a matter of keeping the thread on-topic and that topic is NET types of e-liquids and not so much on TA's.

Your going to love the Blonde I'll bet. The first toot I had of Rock Star tasted like it had a bit of Beer flavoring in it. The Alcazar is a treat. I'm vaping Red Pirate right now and it has an undertaste I just can't nail down. Very familiar to something........

I ordered almost the same sampler as you did. I opted for Morley, Analog, Pure Smoke and RY4.

Yes, apparently there is.

Not everyone is born with the knowledge of what TA is, and not every newbie to this thread has the patience to read the whole thread to find out.

True... which is why mentioning that there are differences ( again ) has it's place... That is part of what learning the differences is about... If they aren't told there is a difference, they won't know it. Pointing out the differences isn't being some sort of type of snobbishness as has been implied so often, it is a matter of teaching them about them so it is understood and the thread can remain on-topic.

So thompson, are they going to start measuring our " Big Gulps " to make sure they're not over 16 oz.? Or will it suffice to stay on their topic of choice?

Yes, apparently there is.
