Hey Jerms, I received the "braided" wick from DV. It's twisted not braided. I heard from Stormy, she's looking into Ekowool, so that's a possibility from a US vendor.

I figured so, the picture wasn't matching their words. That's some false advertising DV is doing, they should give you a refund. I'm pretty happy with the German silica so not really interested in the Ekowool anymore. I hear the Ekowool works great as a sleeve for SS mesh since it's hollow, haven't heard much how well it works alone for wicking.

I'd give DV a pass but it fry's me at how much more the wick was compared to other vendors for the same thing. I emailed my concerns but haven't heard back yet.

I'm wrapping SS wick around silica and I'm going to try that out on the Igo-L I've got coming tomorrow. Guess I'll order some German wick while I'm waiting on the EW. Maybe I'll come to the same conclusion as you.

Sounds like a winner. Had a chance to use the German silica yet?

I got mine in today along with a 100' spool of 30ga A1 Kanthal. could have gotten the Kanthal cheaper on eBay but it was easier getting it in one order from RTDVapor.

I'm not sure when I'll get around to trying out the wick... I've probably got 20 or so wicks premade now using either 2mm or 2.5mm. I may just make one up for jollies later this weekend if I get all of my chores done and extra time left over

Hello NET Hunters, been away a while. It's been some time since I've found a NET that catches my attention, but the last couple of days I've really started liking this MyVapeJuice My Hero Vanilla Blend. 100% VG @ 12mg nic just to make sure I could vape it without an allergy reaction, I might reorder this soon at 70/30 VG/PG just to see if/ how the flavor improves, but it's pretty good as it is. I'm sure most of you dedicated NET Hunters already know this isn't a fruity/sweet vape as much as just a really good and smooth flavored tobacco. It's still nice to find a good one once in a while. :vapor:

Receptionist handed me a package of "my smoke juice" on my way out the office. GeJ has landed and is currently on the steeping shelf. ;)

In other news my EPM Dragon has also arrived.. so, I am vaping Dragons Fire on my Dragon Pipe. How cool is that?! :D

Congrats on the GeJ Dust. Report back in a few years when you crack them open. :)

BTW...

If some of your spam filters or the one's your ISP may use were blocking MyVapeJuice's emails previously... they shouldn't now, but if they do, you should be able to add Diane's email address to the whitelist now... she just fixed the invalid email address issue she inadvertently had caused by leaving the period out of the domain name portion of their email address...

In a time when many beloved vendors are experiencing delays, GeJ stands alone in their ultra, lighting fast processing. Seriously! It takes all of 20 minutes. Word to the wise: don't incorrectly place your order because by the time your realize it or correct it, you should have received a message saying "order shipped!"

I noticed the discrepancy on the DelawareVapor web site between the product description---Braided Silica Wick---and the product photo---which showed typical twisted silica wick. I took a chance and ordered two different gauge packs anyway, thinking that the higher-than-normal price might mean that DV was indeed selling braided wick and simply didn't have a picture of it.

What arrived in the package was ordinary twisted silica wick. So, I filled out a ticket with DV. I wrote that I doubted a "bait-and-switch," but felt that whoever on their staff wrote the description either was misinformed or just not paying attention, and that I was disappointed.

Within two hours, DV emailed back. They apologized, thanked me for bringing the error to their attention, gave me a full refund, and added that they would change the description on the product page. That's a fair outcome and to DV's credit as a vendor. Ending up with six feet of free but ordinary two-strand twisted silica wick isn't perfect, since I might not ever use it, but that's fine. Like most ecig vendors in our still-young and largely small-entrepreneur-driven industry, DV was responsive, courteous, considerate, and quick to refund my money with no further hassle for me as a customer. Not bad, all things considered.

Cool Bill, and good on them. That's the first thing that came to mind, the person that wrote the description was either mis-informed or didn't know what braided wick meant; or just glancing at it assumed that it's held together by a braid. I made the same mistake, thinking that the double twisted German silica I was using was braided, and that was even after using it.

Whahoo got my IGO-L running well with some help from the RA section. It's awesome the response here at ECF when a person needs some help setting up something. I still prefer my IGO-S, but the L will be in the rotation.

Gave Jiggy from HHV a quick vape. It's a juice I'll have to be in the mood for, which I wasn't at the time. Very floral, though I did get that gummy bear flavor I've heard described. Very unique offering in the NET world, but 15ml of it will last me a LONG time.

I love Delaware Vapor. They have great tasting juice, and top notch customer service. I am currently vaping the complementary 15mls of Papa Smurf, they included in my last order. When I vape their Ill Nilla, people always comment, "Man that smell great! What is it?" lol
Kyrptonite is to die for. Always have some on hand. Makes me want to salt the rim of my attie!:D

I'm back guys,

WOW, this is the fastest growing thread I have ever read in my (relatively short) life!

Jerms, I have been experimenting with the IGO-S thanks to you, and although I have no experience with atomizers (only cartos, an Eternity, and a Terminator-C), this tiny little dripper is a champion. By far the most flavor and vapor I have ever experienced, and on a Twist at that! Incredibly simple to recoil (for me about 2 minutes), efficient design, great flavor, good looks.

Also have a question for you guys: what are some good NET concentrate manufacturers? dwcraig1 convinced me to try some DIY, and I'm looking for basic NET flavorings (burley, latakia, turkish, perique, etc.). The thing is, it's nearly impossible to distinguish an NET from an AT, besides Tobacco Absolute! How is the FlavourArt line? They seem to have a great reputation and have some very forgiving prices. As I'm a traveling student, I am not willing to extract my own flavors, but paying less than $1.5 for 10ml is extremely appealing to me. I can just carry a 0.5L bottle of juice to last me months!

Cheers,
Abe

Besides MVJ, I don't think you will find NET concentrates for DIY (short of doing it yourself). Mom and Pop Vapor Shop sell concentrates of their TA/TE hybrid flavors, so if you wouldn't mind trying those out, that may work. I am not a DIYer, but I would even consider those.

There just maybe someone I can ask about this (the NET concentrates), so I will let you know what I find out.

Thanks Mr.Mann. It's strange how dilute the MVJ concentrates are. If the recommended flavoring is "up to 25%", one 10ml bottle of flavoring will only make a max of about 40ml. At $10 per 10ml, this is not very cost effective at all. Maybe FlavourArt is where I shoudl start. At a max of $5 per 10ml of very concentrated flavoring, this manufacturer may be my best bet.
