My experience too. ouR whY qu4tro absolutely knocked my socks off when fresh. Not only the best NET-based RY4 ever, but one of the very best Custom RY4s I've ever vaped (and, as you know, I've had my share). After steeping and the passage of time, however, the astonishing quality faded, and the juice turned ordinary on me, a mere shadow of its youthful self. What a shame.
I have said it before, but some juices steep up, and some juices steep down. BWB's RY4 also steeped down. It's a shame (yes) because letting a juice steep means you can take your time, whereas needing it fresh means you have to order small quantities and vape it like you mean it from jump street. I don't like to be under the gun with juices. Waiting is easy, rushing is for the birds.
I remember my opinion of my tiny sample of QNJ Grandpa's Nightcap was that it tasted faintly of Chinese five-spice powder. I think Bronze once said it reminded him of spent fireworks. That works too
I think our conception of "blocks" are quite different! ROTFLMAO. A New York block and a Swartz Creek Block is about as differnt as a typical Vermont back yard with a New York "back yard."

I just got a small batch of Highbrow liquids. In particular, I got Ry4, Perique, exotic, cigar and one or two others.
I have to say, I can't figure out whether I like them or not. They all have this strong, almost synthetic like base flavour which is nothing like a NET. In fact, these don't taste like Nets to me. I thought they were? I noticed that after a day of vaping them i had to put them aside and vape other vendor liquids and I was having trouble getting that strong harsh flavour out of my atty's. If it was a strong harsh tobacco flavour it would be wonderful and right up my alley for what I like in a liquid, but it wasn't.
I am trying to figure out why they are such a popular liquid by tobacco lovers. Maybe it's an acquired taste or perhaps some more steeping might help. Initially, I am disappointed.

I can't get Quicknic juices. I hope they start delivering to Australia soon!
As a NET rookie, I can tell you from my experience that most NET's taste horrible when they are fresh. They need a few weeks or months of steeping to really shine..

Thanks Dusty. That's what I am thinking and I am thinking the higher quality the NET the longer steep time needed.
I left the caps off for 2 days. I might try them again to compare and then put them aside for a while. If this is the result of them not having steeped enough then I can see potential for it being a great juice. The way it tastes right now it is as if the juices are undeveloped with separate components, not a fluent blend of permeated flavours. I am going to hold out hope here and give them a good steep.

Personally, I've never had a juice that tasted "horrible" that improved with any amount of steeping. Maybe our definition of "horrible" differs.

It really does (only for the first 1 - 2 weeks though and then it disappears). But it reminds me of that sweet sulfur that you can actually taste when at a fireworks display.

Hmmm...I don't like them, but that doesn't mean a lot. One reason you may not like any of them is because the same "base," or not even base, but the same "extract" is used for all of them. So essentially he has one tobacco juice with several faces. They never tasted like an extract to me (I got something like M-Type flavor) but he maintains it is his extraction. Oh well.
My assessment of the social winds is that Highbrow tobaccos are moderately popular, but nothing close to the enthusiastic crowd roar of approval for Ahlusion or Heather's. More like certain people like Highbrow tobaccos a lot, but most people are less positive about them. Maybe I'm wrong, but that's my take away from this and other threads.
For myself, the only Highbrowbacco I like is their RY4, and that shouldn't even be called an RY4. The rest of their tobacco blends flat-out did not please me, although I love-love-love a bunch of their non-tobacco juices.
That sounds pretty accurate. I would say the general opinion before on this thread was their tobaccos are pretty low on a recommendability scale, and generally disliked more than liked, though they have great non-bacco options. It's only been within the last month or two I've seen a few people recommend them enough to sort of pique my interest. Their NETs still haven't quite made it to my written down list of juices to try, but aren't a part of my mental list of juices never to try.
