For bottom feeding I always wanted The Grip, but as goofy as this may seem, I can't decide on the wood configuration I want. Yep, that's goofy! LOL

Hey MM,

Be sure to read through the sweet vapes thread online in the mod suppliers forum.

Scarf,

...
On all eight I use Kanger horizontal bottom coil cartos instead of normal atties. I remove the batting and the center tube (both of which pull right out with tweezers, leaving the coil and its housing as the equivalent of a debridged atty). The Kangers produce great vapor and give wonderful flavor (even at 3.7 volts) that's better than any regular 510 atty and on a par with IKV i06s or Cisco HH357s. For a mere $2 each, they're a steal. If I want, I can vodka soak and dry burn 'em when they get gunky, but more often I just pitch 'em and grab a brand new one.

Thanks for the tip bill! Great idea!

Yeah, I heard about the VERY long wait times (I talked to Brad once). They do sell some pre-made and ready to go at Woodmods.com. Honestly, I doubt I would ever get one because for 1) I am in no position to spend that kind of money on a mod that I am not certain I would like, and 2) there's no way I could wait that long again. The last time I waited over 6 months for something, I got the device and hated the performance (though everyone raved about it). I learned my lesson.

btw, how did you come to be a ny rangers fan? are you from ny and living in oz or aussie and just really love hockey?:)

Native NYer/expat here. But I've changed my avatar back to Erté. Having a Rangers logo now is just embarrassing.:(

Hey scarf-ace,
you may have posted about this already, but i am curious:
how do you compare the vape on your vmod to your reo? what atties/cartos/jdd do you use? i have been switching between my amg hybrid atty at 2.0 and a 1.7 shorty carto, and find the shorty gives a much better flavor and throat hit on both. as far as rbas, are you using a reomizer or other? thanks!

When I first got my REO I used normal Boge LR cartos and they worked fine. Since I got my Vmod in March I got a small stockpile of AMG hybrids and Silo cartos to go with it and have been using them on both bottom-feeders. The hybrids are wonderful: long-lasting, clean flavor, good throat hit. The Silos I'm less enamored with: of the four I've used, two have been DOA. AnthonyB gifted me a VKS German-made atomizer, and it works just peachy on the Reo. So running out of Vapage parts isn't an issue anymore.

I have never tried an RBA on either bottom-feeder. Well, yes, I have, but it didn't work  I don't know what style RBA would work besides the REO ones that are perpetually sold out.

Okay, so Scarf has got me looking back into that gorgeous bottom feeder The Grip (they're art, period!), and she also reminded me of how much I like the Cha Yens and Yerba Mates! Scarf, you are killing me over here. I must stop buying stuff. I also remembered after visiting the site that it wasn't just about the woods that I couldn't decide on, it was the price that stopped me cold. If I do get one, it will never leave the house.

I will fess up to the bottom feeder but you can't hook me for Yerba Mate...never tried it. :) I hate the stuff in real life, and I've drunk it out of a gourd with the little silver straw and everything.

The Grip looks too bulky for me, but the Bogger box...custom-made with purpleheart and wenge ...I wonder if Mr Scarf-ace is in a gift-giving mood...

The A7 can be bottom fed and is pretty inexpensive.

There are others - viscous ant, hornet, and a couple others that are all closer to the $70 mark.

Edit: those should all fit the Bogger if you select the larger cup.

I should really not complete conversations/posts in my head...

I'm not one to try to promote a product, but this one is just such a good deal. The Cheapie and the Cutie, both ERA clones, are only $4.79 at Sun-Vapers. The one pictured comes with the stainless steel drip tip shown, the other has just a plain clear drip tip but comes with an addidtional 8 strand wick coil. They both come pre-built, so at that price it's a good deal even if you don't want to rebuild it, cheaper than quality disposable atties.

In my opinion, small drippers like these and the IGO-S provide the best flavor of any dripper. These are a little bigger than the IGO-S, same hight as a 510 atty. Flavor switching is easy and the draw is tight on these. BUY BUY BUY!

Lol, pretty much. It's even cheaper than I've seen a lot of other places sell these SS drip tips for. They were $6.50 when I bought them, but even seeing the lower price the next day I still feel like I got a great deal. The ERA that it's cloned after is $75.

I've been vaping them with the coil they come with and it's a great vape. It'll be better when I rebuild it, but the vape out of the box isn't shabby at all.

Yes they still have a chance. About the same chance that I have of Hendrik Lundquist ringing my doorbell and offering to give me a foot rub. ;)

Symphony in Black! That is truly one of Erté's most iconic pieces. I've loved his artwork since I was a girl. When my mom passed away a few years ago I was lucky enough to inherit five Erté lithographs. I had to painstakingly cut them out of their gallery frames, roll them into shipping tubes, send them by full-value-insured Fedex to Australia, and get them framed again. You don't want to know how much that cost me.

lol. I love the animated gifs you guys put up. I still get chuckles when I think of the GIF Mr Mann put up in the Netty Awards thread, in response to someone who said that Bounty Hunter was their favourite NET and Mocha HHV was their worse.

Thanks for the link. These are now on my 'to buy' list.

Thanks Johni,

I don't have Mr Mann's intellect and knowledge, Jerms good charms and graces, Scarf-ace's feminine charms and congeniality or Dusty_D's good looks so I've got to make do with what I can :p

Vaping Loisville a lot the last couple of days and it seems to just keep getting better! Straight up Burley blend goodness makes for a very satisfying vape. I'm out of BGB so I can't do a side by side but Louisville has earned a solid spot in my rotation!:)

AnthonyB, you crack me up! Keep up the good work.

Wowsa.. MOV'S Full Virginia Flake RY4.. think of butter pecan ice cream... wowowowowow.. I luv Scarf. Totally working for me. The creamy butteriness of the caramel/vanilla totally translates into a buttery ice cream (instead of my previous buttery popcorn). Thanks Mrs. Ace!

It's a decadent flavor, very rich and creamy. Sometimes I liked it other times it would remind me of popcorn or caramel corn. Now I'm thinking ice cream and it works. Still just a short-vape-session type vape since it's so rich, just hope next time I don't drop back to popcorn.

Still prefer GJ4 for a NET RY4 and Janty Classic RY4 for an anytime vape, but this juice has it's place.
