Good straight from the mailbox.

Thanks! I'm going to recap them and take some SGP with me to work then, will let you know first impressions later. I'm going to let SC, SB, and DC steep for at least a month (minus some dripping when I get the IGO-L built....) before diving into them. I'm very excited. Also, got my HHV vape Mail today too! New lemonade, plus more PB and some Huntsman. Those also are "airing out" for a couple days before being hidden in the steep section.

When you say "No steeping required" on the aros from Ahlusion, does this mean not even the 2 days with caps off that I am used to for all juices thus far? Like "aros good straight from mailbox" type of no steeping? I have them all with caps and drippers off for now, and will leave them that way while I'm at work this evening, but I wasn't sure if I could recap the aros and just leave the 3 non-aros steeping when I get home.

Oh, BTW, vape Mail!!

Steeping is synonomous with aging, not the rituals. The caps off, caps on, shaking, etc is just what some people do to speed up the aging process. Wlad from Ahlusion has said that leaving the caps off for more than several minutes can cause over-oxidation. If a juice has a noticable alcohol smell you may want to leave the cap off for a few hours so the alcohol evaporated, but other than that I'd suggest not doing the 2 day cap off. If you want to speed up the natural aging process, it's easier on the juice to open it for a few minutes each day and shake it well, or just let time do it's thing.

So steeping not required can be read as aging not required; it won't improve or change much with time. Good to go riiiiight................. NOW! VAPE VAPE VAPE!!

I'm not disputing you (or Wlad's) steeping recommendations, but I have heard a million "appropriate" ways of steeping e-liquid. I've concluded the correct steeping is dependent on the individual and the juice and takes time to learn.

I just think the whole idea of steeping has gotten unnecessarily complicated. All juices age no matter what I do to them, the ideas available are just different methods of the same thing, to speed up the process. As long as it doesn't hurt the juice, like prolonged exposure to air, nothing wrong with trying to speed things up but it's nice for me to know that those extra things aren't necessary to get the most out of my juice.

I've seen studies (by Madvapes) that show no degradation of nic content due to exposure or age. Do I believe it? I have no frigging idea! I don't know what to believe with steeping and/or age except that I know extracting alcohols have to evaporate and time does change the profile. The particulars depend on who is doing the telling.

I trust Madvapes enough that they did the experiment as they described, since they don't gain or lose anything from the results. They did a pretty thorough and interest test. I trust the results that nic degredation happens very slowly, even with a bottle open in direct sunlight over several weeks. I sure wouldn't want to vape that nicotine liquid after the test though lol.

I know that this isn't tobacco related, but Wild Valey E-Cigs has a service where if you text "IHybrid" to a specific number you'll get updates on when the IHybrids will be in stock. I requested that they do the same for Mad Murdock's juices.

They replied "Ask and you shall receive" on their FB page.

I don't know how many MM juice fans we have in here, but if you text Murdock to 25827 you'll get updates on his juices.

In the time I have spent here in this thread as well as many others, I have found there are numerous ways to steep. I have been and will continue to take caps off of HHV juices for two days and shake like crazy, and then steep in the box for XX length (shooting for 2 months on what I have now). Is this the "best way"? Who knows. It works for me. If Wlad said not to overexpose his juices, I'll try that with all my Ahlusions. Like Bronze said, it is a learning process for different juices.

Initial reactions to SGP - ..............

There is definitely peach in here, but not enough to overpower the tobacco in any way. Looking forward to my vamo getting here and trying SGP on the IGO-L.

I'll be spending tonight at work with the SGP and Legend. I'll keep you posted on my time with both of them with a more in depth review after work.

From what I've heard UV rays are the most effective to accelerate steeping. Throw your bottle in a window that gets sun and see what happens. It has worked really well for me. It's amazing how fast the liquid changes color. Throw that in your bag of steeping tricks, lol

Chimps, I just steep HHV juice according to what Adam and Heather told me a long time ago. One day of caps off is probably plenty but no one told me it would hurt the juice at two days. Truthfully, I have never had any issues with HHV juice going wonky on me by steeping according to the way Adam and Heather told me. I would do the same as you with A+...according to whatever Wlad says. I don't know better authorities. :)
