So, the aros arrived (YEA!!!) and I got through most of them. There will be more tomorrow.

Oddly, these had a calming effect on me. When I tried Paris and, to a lesser extent, Louisville, they had an opposite reaction - they were moderately invigorating - they reach out of the atty and punch your nose while insulting your mother. These make me want to sit in a hammock in the shade by the Puget Sound and let the world slip by. It's a strange and glorious feeling.

Blue Grass Burley - smooth, well balanced, slightly sweet but, not sugary sweet. Completely burley with a hint of grass - not the fresh cut lawn that I get from some W2V juices... this is more of a "wild" grass. THere is no sharpness or an overwhelming bite. This is just plain, well balanced, burley tobacco.

Maple Burley - I get more upfront burley, less grassiness, and more sweetness on the inhale peak. The rest is very similar to BGB - clean, well composed, smooth, bite-less and balanced

Honey Cured - This one may need to steep for a bit... I get a bit of alcohol on the peak and can definitely smell it. It isnt strong at all and will likely evaporate in a short time. it doesn;t take away from anything but, I expect this to brighten a bit when it disapates. The honey is pure honeycomb honey. its a dead ringer for pure fresh-from-the-comb honey. The virginia is stronger than the burley but, they meld together well. The tobacco is pure and very well balanced.

Cocoa Blend - tastes to me like the same base as the honey cured - i get the same balance of burley and virginia - the virginia is complex as well. I get 2 distinctly different cocoas - one slightly bitter that is similar to a baking cocoa and one more sweet. I get the baking on the inhale and the sweeter on the exhale. There is a tiny bit of alcohol (again, it doesn't take anything away) that will evaporate away and I think will brighten the cocoa.

Caribbean Blend - this is a different base - the virginia is lighter with the same pinch of burley. i get more of a chocolate tone than rum but the rum is there on the exhale. I hate to sound like a broken record here but, this is a balances composition of flavor.

Smokin Cherries - When I was in highschool, I smoked cherry tobacco in a pipe (mostly to be a bit of an ... in the smoking section and do something entirely different than anyone else) it took some time but, I grew to love it. I eventually stopped and missed it so, when I got older, I would smoke some of the same for special occasions. THis is a dead ringer for that tobacco. There is a bit of burley and virginia mixed well with a slightly sweet pure cherry.

Sweet Georgia Peach - similar tobacco notes as what I get from smokin cherries - it is a lighter tobacco with a small bit of burley and a larger amount of virginia. The peach is clean and natural and I can clearly taste the skin and the fruit separately. Nicely put together overall.

Great reviews. Once you've gotten to know them, combine a little Smokin Cherries and Sweet Georgia Peach with a little Vurley as I have been doing....so delightful.

All right. I give up. Scarfy, you'll have to send me a secret decoder ring so I can understand your one-line post. What the heck is SGB? SC I get---Smooth Criminal. And SGP is obviously Sweet Georgia Peach. But SGB? I don't have a clue.

Never mind, I have fixed it. Apologies for confusion i have caused.

I may have missed it and someone else has already pointed it out, but not all tobacco juice is "created" equally. A+ uses a Co2 extraction and there's no alcohol to evaporate. GeJ uses a PG maceration and there's no alcohol to evaporate.

If I remember correctly, you're right. I believe that the alcohol I taste and smell is in the added flavor that is paired with the tobacco... not the tobacco itself - which makes sense to me given that the honey I taste is comb honey and the cocoa has 2 distinct profiles - those complexities would need to be "fused" I would think and, as i understand it, alcohol handles the fusing nicely. it is very faint (no where near any other juice ive had) but, enough to be noticeable. Even with the original bottle tops left on the desk after the dropper was screwed on I still smelled it so, it's there...

I am going to give it a day or so and I think it will be fine.

And HHV uses alcohol so that's is why Adam says to let evaporate for a day and Wlad says a matter of minutes. Gee, what a surprise! LOL!!

Instead of an Ultrasonic for shaking, there's an easier method and a lot cheaper too. All you need are a rubber band, a cat and a laser pointer.

That's what I do to a T. Here's my abridged newbies guide to steeping, it takes care of shaking, exposing to air, and time needed:

Shake well then drip; like=vape dislike=wait. Repeat as desired.

Giving myself a couple more days to vape on GeJ Acadian Gold I realize what the flavor reminds me of. Anyone know of sweet grass? I was given a braid of it as a wedding gift long ago, and it is used traditionally by Native Americans in various applications. I also recall smelling it from some of the thatched roofs in places I've been in Mexico.

I'm OK with the rubber band and laser pointer. But I have a cat here I'd like to give to Goodwill. :)

Like HE** you would. Fess up, Bronze, you are totally OWNED by that feline! :D

CW, you say there's Virginia in Honey Cured?! No wonder I like it the best! :) And I'm totally with you on the "pure raw honeycomb honey"-- it's delicious.

El, we've both been around long enough to remember those yellow Goodwill boxes. :)

I just had to double check on the site (I dont look on any site when i do the tasting because I dont want it altering my first impressions) but, yep - there is :) looks like light virginia and burley

I love how accurate the flavors are... it took me 3 hours to finish those tasting notes because I kept going on each liquid almost in the hope that a 'fake' flavor could be found.

Nope. no fake anywhere.

Speaking of Goodwill boxes :)D), I have not one but TWO 30ml bottles of old Apple House Blend in my stash (they were gifts), about which, ummm, the less said, the better.

Last night, in an effort to rescue this juice, I mixed about 10mls of AHB into what I thought was an old bottle of Highbrow's Coconut (about 20mls left in bottle). (I've always wanted a coconut tobacco; the "apple" is all but gone from AHB; so I figured why not?) As I dripped and shook, I kept thinking "Hmm, this smells SO orangey." I double checked my stash, and sure enough, I had Frankenjuiced not an old bottle of HB Coconut, but rather an old bottle of HB Orange de Sangre!:laugh: (The label had been completely obliterated by juice drippings).

The good news: The AHB-OdS combo is very tasty!! It will definitely get vaped. :)

Next up: AHB + the real HB Coconut!

[Nota bene: Both HB Orange de Sangre and HB Coconut are delicious natural ejuices on their own -- they just got pushed to the back by all the newer juices I've been enjoying.]
